Westminster junior Caroline Heys was named Southeast girls player of the week for the week ending on March 25. Heys was recognized partially due to her performance in the Dogwood Classic, where she had 17 goals and six assists. … State girls overall No. 1 Milton fell to Vero Beach (Fla.) 13-11 in the Amlax Challenge in St. Petersburg, Fla. The Eagles are ranked No. 9 nationally, while Vero Beach is ranked No. 8, according to LaxPower.com. In the same tournament, Milton defeated Mt. St. Joseph (Penn.) 13-9 behind seven goals from Annie Rutland, who will play for the University of Southern California next year.
