Westlake Relays. Several of the areas top teams and athletes will compete before the season shuts down for a week for spring break. The 2012 Westlake Relays will feature the host team and its boys 1,600 meter relay team (currently ranked second in the state) along with seniors Thomas Miller (second in Georgia in the 800 at 1:53.40) and state triple jump leader Landon Jenkins (49-8), McEachern and spriner Amba Etta-Tawo (third in the state in the 100 at 10.53 and second in the 200 at 21.17), along with the school’s boys 400 meter relay team which is currently the fastest in the nation (40.95). The girls’ side features the current state leader in the 100, Grayson sprinter Jasmine Abrams (11.73), and half of the state’s top 10 400 meter relay teams will compete, including No. 3 McEachern (47.02), No. 4 Westlake (47.20), No. 5 Grayson (47.53), No. 6 Alpharetta (47.56) and No. 10 Redan (47.94).

Somebody tell the Dekalb County Boys 4×4 champions that Stone Mountain went 3:17.42 yesterday.
