Take your atheist self out of here. Funny thing atheist fear Christianity far more than we fear you.

Never seen such bias in an officiated game as this game. Everyone at the Georgia Highschool Atletic Association to Buford was pulling for them. If they could only draw from the kids in their District they would be irrelevent in Football.

They are moving up to AAA, but most of the patsies they play are moving to AAA also, so they’ll still be the same…….They need to move up AAAA or AAAAA. Marist asked to move up 2 classifications. Buford scared they’ll be just another team if they move up.

Buford was down by 14 with 1 minute 20 seconds to play and they had the ball inside their 20 yard line. Calhoun went in to a prevent defense which prevents you from rushing the passer most of the time. With all day to throw Buford took the ball the length of the field to score. Calhoun got the ball back with a minute to play and couldn’t get a first down so with about 40 seconds left they kicked to Buford and there was a bad snap and the kicker tried to run with the ball and he fumbled to Buford with about 20 seconds left. Buford threw a pass and tied up the game. Calhoun ran the clock out and they went to over time.. Buford got the ball first and fumbled to Calhoun. Calhoun on their very first play kicked a field goal ending with a Calhoun win.

Yes Gen. Wood I was. I think R. Seaman stands for REJECTED SEAMAN with his posts. No Southern Lady would give him the time of the day.

@ga gator, and Plowboy- Viking,

I am not an atheist, but it was good players and coaching that won the game for Calhoun, NOT Jesus, no matter what the coach said. Saying that Jesus won the game for you is saying that Jesus is aginst the other team, that is not the case. It was a good game and Calhoun won, Jesus or no Jesus. Great game. Congrats Calhoun!!!

North South Recap

December 9th, 2011
8:28 pm

Let’s see…..
AAAAA will be won by a north Georgia team.
AAAA will be won by a north Georgia team.
AAA will be won by either a east central or central Georgia team.
AA was won by a north Georgia team.
A is the only chance for south Georgia to win a championship and it depends on a Savannah school..wouldn’t touch those odds!! If Landmark Christian beats Savannah, then the north would be 4 – 0 in championship games with the other championship going to central Georgia. Appears again this year the Georgia high school football power stays NORTH. The “south may rise again” but not as far as south Georgia football goes. South Georgia football is dead….R.I.P.

An objective viewpoint here. Living in another state so no dog in the fight. Glad to see the University of Buford get beaten by a high school team though. The refs did seem to be giving the advantage to Buford. Saw two non calls on out of bounds hits on Calhoun players in the 4th qtr. Those “doofuses” on GPB were sitting there talking about Calhoun’s win with over a minute to go when those 2 personal foul penalties were called. They had egg all over their faces when the camera cut back to the field and they realized what was going on. Also, those two female sideline reports were acting like elementary school kids. Good grief! One was yelling with such a high pitched voice, it was hurting my ears. And yes, as someone said, the coach for Calhoun needs to leave Jesus out of it. I am a Christian myself, but he had absolutely nothing to do with CC winning this game. I know for a fact he could care less, and has more important things to be dealing with. Does that coach think Jesus would rather CC win than Buford? That’s so asinine!

From The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricanes, Way to go, Calhoun Jackets. Finally justice is served, Bufford is not unbeatable. I was hoping our hurricanes would of won against them when we had our chance. We came close though. No offense Bufford, but you can’t win them all, this was bound to happen sooner or later. Just remember our Hurricanes almost beat you, and were a small town lol

I think the Jesus remarks should more be in reference to thanking him for allowing them to play healthy. But to say he won the game. I agree Jesus probably could care less who wins.

When there was 2 minutes to go and the showed a sideline shot and the Calhoun quarterback was so emotional and you could see he mouthed the words, “this is so sweet.” Then when they almost blew it, if Buford had not have fumbled, Calhoun would have never won. I was pulling for Calhoun.

The Calhoun punter didn’t try to run with the ball; he never had a chance to take a step before getting wiped-out by the Buford players. Wasn’t a very smart play by the kicker but he only had 1/1000th of a second to decide what to do. Did Calhoun have anyone blocking on that play because Buford players almost beat the ball back to the punter.

Very entertaining game. Did anyone else notice the Calhoun coach never mentioned Buford during his post game interview? Not required but usually the winning coach compliments the other program for their successful season. Guess since he’s never been the winning coach of a championship game he wasn’t prepared. Just like he wasn’t by kicking the field goal on first down. The coach owes not being the biggest goat in high school history to his kicker. Also, Calhoun had a seldom seen demographic make-up of their team.

@jvillebil,

I agree.

It was a good game thow. I don’t think Jesus won the game for Calhoun, I just think they have a good team and a good coach. The Calhoun coach made it sound like Jesus hates Buford, LOL.

I don’t think Lovejoy can stop Tucker for 4 quarters. I watched the Ware – Lovejoy game and Ware shot themselves in the foot a couple of times. Lovejoy’s offense doesn’t look that potent.

Congrats to Calhoun. Awesome game and awesome win. Hats off to the coach & players for giving God the glory. Buford has always tried to get the glory for themselves….not this year. P.S. Did the Bufrod player ever decide where he would play at next year? He said he would make that decision after they win the STATE. Hmmm.

Lets dont put IFS in here jvillebil,because IF the Refs would have called the clip on #8(Alex Kirby) on Bufords first TD,we wouldnt have been talking about Calhoun nearly blowing it(or the late hits out of bounds or the horsecollar in the first Qt,etc etc etc)..I picked Calhoun to win 38-24…Calhoun didnt go down field passing as much as they have been( IM sure due to Bufords awsome pass rush).As Ive said all year Calhouns Defense stacks up with Bufords anyday and Calhouns offense is Alot better than Bufords,I dont care how many D1s you have…27-24 and it really wasnt that close….

GT VET good points. I watched the whole game and Calhoun dominated. I really wanted them to win, because they play with the kids they have no recruits. I just felt bad for them when they had those late miscues and didn’t think they could regroup, that is why that fumble seemed so important.

@North South Recap. South Georgia football is not dead. Fitzgerald came close to beating the Bufford wolves and were a small town, small school system. This year the hurricanes came close to beating the Carver Columbus Tigers, same thing there a huge school system. I was hoping they or somebody at the time would beat Bufford though. Glad to see finally somebody beat them. Only reason northern counties do better, is most are of bigger school systems. Same for Central Georgia, alot of bigger school systems. And Bufford, what are they from, A part of a district around Atlanta, Go figure.

Lovejoy doesn’t have the offense to score with Tucker. Even though they had 8 shutouts and only gave up 3.6 points per game, it’s evident Tuckers speed is too much.
