Stephenson 35, Luella 14

Mike Davis scored three touchdowns on the ground, including runs of 37 and 35 yards, to lead the host Jaguars. Pernell Whitehead and T.J. Moon also found the endzone for Stephenson, which raced to a 28-0 lead before holding off Luella.

Northview 39, North Forsyth 13

Quarterback Evan Jacks threw for two touchdowns and 259 yards in the Titans road victory. Jacks also ran for 96 yards and a score. Terrence Upshaw added two touchdowns on the ground for Northview.

Mt. Zion-Jonesboro 14, Mundy’s Mill 12

Quarterback Montel Buchanon led the visiting Bulldogs to a nail-biting victory over Mundy’s Mill. He had two touchdowns on the night. One was on a five-yard run, and the other he tossed the eventual game winning 60-yard touchdown to Danthony Franklin.

East Paulding 31, Sprayberry 0

Kamani Thomas rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns to control the game for host East Paulding, while Mitchell Webb added a scoring pass to Andrej Suttles. The Raiders notched their third consecutive shutout and fourth of the season.

Jonesboro 31, Riverdale 30

Host Jonesboro won by an extra point in overtime when quarterback Sedrick Nettles found running back Rodney Singleton for a 15-yard touchdown pass. Riverdale scored on a 10-yard pass by Steve Harris, but went for two and failed.

Cornell White threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Devon Edwards on the first drive of the third quarter to extend a 7-3 halftime lead. Tre Sorrells opened the scoring for the host Tigers with a first-quarter touchdown run.

Drew 31, Stockbridge 7

After facing Cairo on the road and Sandy Creek in the Georgia Dome, the Drew Titans weren’t going to scare in a home game, no matter who the opponent was.

The Titans turned in a near-flawless performance, whipping previously unbeaten Stockbridge 31-7 Friday night at Southern Crescent Stadium behind Jadarius West, who rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns as the Titans (3-2, 2-1 Region 4-AAA) kept themselves in position to earn a playoff spot.

The Titans’ win avenged a 19-0 loss to Stockbridge last year and the Titans narrowly missed their first-ever shutout. It also gained a measure of comfort for the Titans, whose former teammate Marquis Magwood was seriously injured in a south Florida car crash earlier in the day.

“We were playing with heavy hearts,” said Drew coach Jarrett Laws. “There was a strange mix of emotions out there.”

Drew quarterback Jay Murray completed 12 of 18 passes for 130 yards, including a 37-yard TD to Devon Miller.

Harris County 32, McIntosh 10

The visiting Tigers came out with a punch by scoring 19 points in the first quarter. Roquez Harris had an 80-yard interception for a touchdown while the offense scored three rushing scores, one a 70-yard run by Tevon Moore.

St. Pius 45, Riverwood 6

St. Pius saw five different players run for touchdowns as it produced 287 rushing yards. Geno Smith had three carries for 96 yards and two scores while adding an interception for the visiting Golden Lions. Trey White tacked on a 48-yard touchdown scamper.

South Paulding 10, Lithia Springs 0

Jabari Menefee threw for 90 yards and two touchdowns as visiting Columbia raced to a 21-0 halftime lead. Keithon Redding and Miles Woodberry hauled in the scoring strikes while Kenno Loyal added 85 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Eagles.

Defense and special teams ruled for the home Wolves who led 52-0 at halftime and allowed one yard rushing at the break. Thomas Wilson returned a punt for a touchdown and C.J. Moore ran a fumble for a score. Rick LeGrant rushed twice for two touchdowns.

The Hawks defended their home turf with Kenyon Drake leading the way by scoring on a reception and rush. Kelvin Cameron’s one reception resulted in a touchdown. Collen McCrite and Zack Moore scored for the Hoyas, but it wasn’t enough to win.
