Warren County head coach resigns before season opener

Warren County football coach Marleau Blount has resigned for failing to have all physical examimations of players completed before practice, WRDW-TV in Augusta reported Tuesday.

David Daniels, the defensive coordinator, is the new head coach, the TV station said.

Warren County was 11-11 in two seasons with Blount, a Warren County graduate who was an assistant for 10 years before taking the head coaching job in 2009. Warren County’s first game is Friday at Glascock County.

Blount continues to be employed by Warren County as a teacher.

No excuse! Why do some people especially in today’s society think they don’t have to follow rules and guidelines. Look at your pro and college athletes. It is sickening but it is a result of all the liberal crap. Everybody think they have certain rights no matter what.
