The defense should be better with the growth of the 9th and 10th grader. Hopefully, they will get a stunna transfer in the next couple weeks.

Mays High needs a Head Coach, Mays will be losing rising players from the feeder middle schools to Westlake High School for the next five years and understandably so, Until Mays employees a REAL Head Coach they will continue to be just average , becuase Coach Calloaway is just fine winning against the school here in the Atlanta Area.Which I think is SAD!!!If this Coach was going to make a run ,the team he had couple years ago would have been the team to do it. But of course Coach found a way to mess that up as well.He doesn’t have a play book that will match up to the new young hot Coaches that run offesnses like Tech, UGA. If you want to win at that level you must play at that level. It’s just not there . The more parents I speak too clearly states they will not send there kids over to play for him becuase he does not inspire growth in these kids.Look out for Washington and Grady High Schools in the City of Atlanta this year.

I agree with you amaysing Classes of 2008 2009 and 2010 Had some outstanding talent, and they should’ve won state, but Callaway just can’t get it done. Dr. Smith need to go find, a real head coach.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. Mays had the best running backs in APS since 2007, He just didn’t know how to use them, 3 of them he put on the defensive side of the ball and didn’t see the backfield at all. It’s all good, one day it’s going to get better…..
