Collins Bradshaw, a three-time South Carolina 3A Player of the Year for A.C. Flora High School signed with Georgia.
Bradshaw, who was originally slated to graduate in 2012, will complete her high school diploma requirements early and will enroll at UGA this fall.
“We’re thrilled to get Collins,” UGA coach Kelley Hester said. “We’re even more thrilled to be getting her a year earlier than we thought. She was able to accelerate her graduation date and join us this fall. Collins has been one of the top junior golfers in the Southeast and is now a diehard Bulldog. We expect her to come in and make an immediate contribution.”
Bradshaw secured seven individual titles and seven runner-up finishes during 2009 and 2010. In both 2009 and 2010, she was named to the All-Carolinas Junior Team featuring the top three players from North and South Carolina. Bradshaw also participated in the 2010 and 2011 Can Am Team matches between top golfers from South Carolina and Ontario.
“Collins comes from a big golf family,” Hester said. “Both of her brothers play at Clemson so he already know the ropes of college golf.”
Bradshaw’s brothers, Brewer and Thomas, both play for Clemson, while her father, Bill, played quarterback and wide receiver at South Carolina from 1981-84.
