Florida's Billy Donovan wants Miller Grove junior (AJC)

Florida has officially entered the sweepstakes for one of Georgia’s top college prospects. The Gators offered an early scholarship to Miller Grove High forward Brandon Morris, one of the state’s top juniors.

The 6-foot-7, 200-pounder has nearly 10 offers, including UGA, Clemson, Auburn, Florida State and North Carolina State. Morris says he has not had much contact with Georgia Tech.

“I was really surprised and happy about the Florida offer,” Morris said. “I really like the Gators a lot … their style of play. It brightened up my day when my coach told me about that.”

Why should I leave? I’ll give up that $7mil payout if I do. Meanwhile, why should I recruit so hard? They leave for the NBA after one season and make me look bad. Keep pumping that money to GTAA, they will need it when they can me. Life is good…..

Man, Fox needs to land some of these big time recruits otherwise he’ll always be second fiddle to UK and UT

Fox will move on to a real BBall school by the end of next year, he will not be in Athens when this kid is eligible. Fox has already figured out the alumni prefer the gymdogs to college basketball. Jim Harrick JR is still available???

So you’re saying that a unreal basketball school beat your school. I like the sound of that. UGA 73 – GTu 72! WE RUN THIS STATE!!!

I guess this is proof that nobody but me and a few others cares about UGA basketball. That’s a shame! A campus of 35,000 students and a state that loves its DAWGS but yet nobody cares about basketball here. We even have a terrific coach now and still nobody responds to basketball post.

Proof and Dawgtards, birds of a feather. Your team is pitiful so lets go post on the Dawg blog all the negative stuff we can think of Go back in your hole idiots.

There’s still a point of you have to prove something in order to get some interest. I’m die hard Dawg and I hate, absolutely HATE, to see the team lose. Better to keep the head down until something positive happens. Yes there’s a sad nobility in cheering on a bad team year after year. But there’s only so much punishment a man can watch and heartbreak one can endure. Coach Fox is turning it around and I forsee great things. But he still has to prove it. Then the fans will take notice.

With 10 offers and probably more to come, I would guess this young man and his family will have a great time making a decision. Hope they don`t do the flip a coin trick like Mr. X says he is going to do to choose between UGA and UF.

Seriously warhorse? I attended the game in Athens when UGA beat Florida, so, no we didn’t give up on beating UF, we actually are beating them. Unless you’re talking football, then you’re just in the wrong place anyways idiot. And just for people who don’t know a whole lot about Kentucky basketball, this weekends game is sold out partly because of how many tickets UK fans bought when they went on sale. Remember last year when Stegeman was almost more blue than red. I do. Just because Florida gave him an offer doesn’t mean it’s over. We’ll keep pursuing this guy like the other 7 schools will. If Fox has proven anything Bad M, it’s that he can recruit (Thornton, Robinson, Caldwell, etc.).

donovan needs to stay away from uga recruits. He’ll come to GA–fla’s program is down for a long time. Those 2 titles were long ago flukes.
