A Sanford impersonator? Because he has posted the score of the most recent Tech win. Not a fan of impersonating posters, especially white trash like Sanford. Don’t give him more reason to troll the Tech blogs. Please

I know a really good kid – Kitaro Lewis, North Gwinnett – He has a good body (6′3″ 210) and very good hands. He’s not getting much “look” due to CJ, but this kid will do well at the next level & is a sleeper recruit. This game will allow him to show his skills because coaches have been at the practices… Good Luck Kit…

Sam Muse, Shiloh is a Sam Mills clone.. Short, thick, runs the field side to side, covers the middle & is a tackling machine!!

I will be interested in seeing how Christian Davila,QB, Hebron Christian(small single A school) does playing with the big boys in Gwinnett? He threw for 27 TD’s while running for 13 more in the best season in school’s short history with 9-1 record.

WOW! This is Awesome; Where is the Atlanta Public School All Star Game and why we don’t have one Jeff Beggs (New Director of Athletics for the APS school district)? You have an entire year to plan a game to be played in 2011 at Lakewood or Grady Stadium. What are you doing APS Schools: Carver (Coach Myles), Douglass (?), Grady (Millen), Jackson (?), Mays (?), North Atlanta (?), South Atlanta (?), Therrell (Rambo) and Washington (Coach Pritchett). It would be good to have a game to showcase players like, Marcus Caffey, Damian Swann, Zack Witchett, Homer Causey Jr and many others…Somebody from APS Athletics please respond…

”how are the kids selected for these all star games?”

It’s probably a little different w/ each game, but it’s mostly the head coaches making nominations, then making selections. You’ve got a few blue-chip players in national all-star games who won’t play in these. There also are a few that turn down invites due to injuries or holiday travel.

APS, do you realize the exposure and sponsorship opportunities that are available to you for a game like this? You can even have an allstar band and cheerleaders for each team also…You can even take credit for this Jeff Begg. (Wink, wink)

APS,where are you? That’s Funny! you can’t do All-Star game if you don’t have a following.
Mays is the only school with a real following; that why for past 10yrs we’ve tried to get a stadium at the bottom of the Hill. When all the teams in APS get a following like (Mays) then it will be feasible to have a ALL-Star Game. Now it might work if you can go get the players from the Metro area…. that live in the APS ZONE.

APS vs Fulton County All Star Game.
The first annual Atlanta Public Schools vs. Fulton County Schools game is being played at Grady High School on January 8th at 1:00. The teams will practice at Grady and Riverwood, respectively, Tuesday through Thursday, January 4-6 with the annual classic on Saturday, January 8. This should be the beginning of a great annual contest.

With all due respect to Mays, I do believe the combined attendance of APS schools with at least adequate promotion will yield a great success. These allstar games are an excellent opportunity to showcase talent that are sometimes overlooked…
