Yeah, Creek! Whoo-hooo! Thanks to Carrollton for an awesome game. It is a shame that either one of our great football programs had to lose. You guys have an awesome program and will back again next year. I am sure we will meet again in the future.

Congrats to my Sandy Creek Patriots!!! Tonight was a great game. We had a bend but don’t break defense and I will be talking about that Chism catch in the 4th quarter for a long time. I also give Carrollton more respect than I did all week. Those guys really control the 2nd half of the game with offense and defense. My hats off to your team and fans who came out in bunches. No need to hang your heads…….Go Creek!!!

bodog: Please, no sour grape-ing. Also, I apologize for other Creek bloggers who are not respectful and reflect badly on the Patriot Nation. As a unifying statement, I will say that either Carrollton or Sandy Creek could beat any of the other class champions hands down. AAA was the best class of football this year!

@ A Packer Fan

Does the head coach for the packers always yell at the kids during the game. I have been watching the game (I hope Colquitt wins) and it seems like the head coach rips the kids when they come to the sideline.

@Patriot Power – it was a great game! The catch by your guy was awesome but the fumble (and great defensive play) in the 4th quarter made all the difference!

Great program and great team coming from Sandy Creek!

Trojans hate to come in 2nd place but it was a great run and great game by 2 quality teams!

I hope we can make the same run next year!

Go Trojans!

Hahaaaaaaaaaah SERIOUSLY….

Carollton Trojans really… vote for obamma? BWAAAAAAAAH HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH yeah right! I’m a HARDCORE REPUBLICAN!!!!!!!!!! I will happily admit if I did work I would not make as much as much as she does. Yes I do I have a college degree but she makes more than I would with all her degrees and the company which she is employed with. We have small kids and why send them to daycare when a parent can stay home with them? Trust me we I am in a higher tax bracket than you. For the record carroll county is straight up a dump! Straight white trash.

A couple of years ago, I watched Propst call a timeout in Tifton just to chew out the referees after he thought a call didn’t go his way. The Packers completely unraveled as Propst quit thinking about strategy and continued to mull over a call that wasn’t going to change and was over and done with.

Propst is going to build a cult-like status in Moultrie, if he hasn’t already. He’ll have the entire county convinced that every referee, every opposing coach, even the administrators are out to get him. They’re not, but he’ll have his minions convinced.

This is as close as he’ll come to a title. He should put up another good year next year, then it will start to unravel and it will do so quite messily.

How do I know? We had a Propst by another name. He coached boys’ basketball. If anybody from the Valdosta Association is hanging around this evening, they can probably name that tune in two notes. It’s been nearly 10 years since we had him, but he left quite the memory … and nearly two years of probation as he pulled one of the most unsportsmanlike stunts I’ve ever seen in a game against Pierce County. It wasn’t anything against Pierce, but an attempt to show up referees.

Honestly, Carrollton has a great team. Both teams had turnovers but I wouldn’t put the weight of a loss on a running back fumbling while trying to score nor would I say the best team lost because the final score settled who was the best team… Cloud 9 you have been an awesome read. Please keep us posted on the Tucker vs. Northside Warner Robins game as well as the Lowndes vs. Camden game. Last time I checked, Tucker, who never loses, won the coin toss and will be playing at home.

My predictions b/4 playoffs –
A – clinch county
AA – Buford
AAA – sandy creek
AAAA – hooch
AAAAA – Camden

4 of 5 not bad

Hooch will NOT be a contender next year! I don’t care if they have Bo Jackson and Herschel Walker — no o-line, passing game will struggle, no kicker, defense losing big time players, and special teams will have no spark. Hooch will go 7-3 next year, make playoff, and lose in first round!

Been watching the games on TV since I couldn’t go due to illness. I have to say, GPB has done an excellent job! My only complaint has been that rotating logo that shatters into a hundred pieces when they come back live after a replay. It has gotten a little old and sometimes is not out of the way when the next play starts up. A pretty small complaint for almost 12 hours of watching.

Congratulations to all the teams that made it to the finals. I almost feel like my team has been there since they hare featured once or twice in 4 out of 5 of the football promos GPB has been running. ;)

@a fan, Propst has been caught on camera several times tonight yelling at the players. It was pretty obvious his wrath was directed at the player as the player was standing there nodding and/or shaking his head in response.

I’m out but before I go Congratulations to all the State champs and the runner ups for making it this far. I know it will always hurt for the kids that came up short. Seriously football and sports are a small part of life. Win or lose just be thankfull you could play football, cheerlead, or march in the band. There a lot of kids that get a bad deal and are not healthy enough to do any of it.

I know I can come off as a jerk but I can take it as much as I dish it out. What comes around goes around. Sandy Creek back 2 back and when we do lose I HOPE y’all give me hell.

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year.

lowndes and valdosta are both better teams than colquitt. lowndes dominated colquitt and vakldosta beat colquitt at colquitt. this has been a weird year in high school football. lowndes will be loaded next year as the players moving up have never lost. the whole oline and d line will be back. great rbs. lowndes wins region next year,. will have to learn how to defend the spread offense though

Hit A Single – Buford has 1 elementary (k-1), The Academy (2-5), 1 middle school (6-8) and 1 High School (9-12). Most tuition kids enter the schools by the 5th grade. They only allow so many students per grade. So you have the city kids and then the remaining slots go to tuition kids. The older you are the harder it is to get in. Once you are in you have to mess up (bad grades, low test scores, behavior, etc..) to not get to return the next year.

all you foolish kids thinking colquitt would win with stout defense and a good offensive line.

on a side note, that quarterback has thrown for about 500yrds all season, his receivers have run for the rest.

You can all complain now. So and so is better, but they are not playing in the championship game. The better team lost, but guess what, they are not holding the trophy. And for all that try to take over the blog, talking about South Georgia football, North Georgia 4 champs, South Georgia 1. It was a great year, and a little weird, but congrats to all the teams this weekend.

its funny how lowndes dominated colquitt but cdnt get passed collins hill. valdosta beat colquitt at the hogpen but lost to grayson whom colquitt beat. i would have loved to see lowndes play brookwood. hats off to brookwood. north ga needs to enjoy this one bc lowndes and camden will be back again next year. Lowndes will be better (much better) kids coming up are stout. I see lowndes winning 2 titles in the next 3 years

OK, Packers, so much for the suburban sissies from Gwinnett. You may have got 609 yards, but mistakes are mistakes. You gave up 52 points to a team that was very much badmouthed for a month by many region 1 fans here. So, now, the results are in. The AAAAA Champion is Brookwood. That’s the results that really count, the ones on the field.

The rest is just hot air.

Colquitt was just as scary to play against as they said they were going to be. No question. Well coached too. But sometimes, one beats themselves. But one way or the other, it is the performance on the field. Some can moan and groan about what might have been. What matters is what really was happening on the field.

Had to watch this game on the web from Philadelphia where another class act, Navy, beat Army 31-17. Three players from BW played for Army. I’m sure if those three players were from Region 1, there are those that would insist Army would have won. Uh huh.

Back to Back only counts in the same classification

Is there any truth to Sandy Creek appealing again to GHSA Executive Committee and asking to play 2A after 2011 so they can keep winning state football champiuonships? Or will they go play 4A after Northside-Warner Robins goes back to 5A due to population growth?
