GPB Sports Central will have a live one-hour special at 7 p.m. Thursday from the Georgia Dome on the upcoming state championship games. The GPB crew will preview all five of the games, and GHSA executive director Ralph Swearngin will be on the show, which can be seen on Channel 8 as well as GPB.org/sports.
GPB will telecast all five state championship games live, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Friday with the Class AA game between Buford and Calhoun.

Just want to say, MC, how much all of us appreciate your excellent and extensive coverage of HS sports in GA. Also love the GPB events. Wish the AJC coverage of major sports was as good.

Is there a way to catch these games online? I am stuck in Tennessee and they have NO football in this state comparable to Georgia’s. If anyone knows how I can get access to this game PLEASE let me know. Thanks in advance.

I have to disagree with you on this one. As a Colquitt Co fan I’ve checked this page every day looking for info on the class 5A championship game–here it is Friday and still nothing. It’s a rare treat to have my team in the big game and I’m real dadgum disappointed in the lack of coverage…..

PS
Joe P had more useful info in his one sentence post than in this entire article. Thanks, JP…..
