As you know, this year’s state playoffs have been nothing short of remarkable, with traditional powerhouses such as North Gwinnett, Camden County, Lowndes, Northside-Warner Robins, Wilcox County being eliminated in the earlier rounds.
What will be this weekend’s biggest upset? You know at least one will happen, maybe more. Will Sandy Creek be able to hold off Peach County? Do you think Collins Hill has a chance of upsetting Brookwood? Will playing on the road hurt Carver-Columbus? Will Grayson dispose South Georgia’s last hope (Colquitt County) in the Georgia’s largest classification?

@ BURKE CO.NO. 1 FAN. Congratulation to your team for making it to Semi-Final game. Looking at your school’s football history, it’s easy to see why you are so excited to be where you are at. It’s been a while since we have been this far also, so we are really excited also. I did not attend school at Carrollton, but I have been a hugh fan for several years now and as much as I want them to win, I’m not going down the road you and my fellow Trojan fans are taking, I won’t predict a winner. Both teams are where they are at for a reason, they are good. The team that should win “on paper” does not always come out the winner, just asked Cairo, St. Pius, Gainsville, etc. There is a reason you still play the game. I’m betting your coach and ours is now telling their team victory will come as easy as you are making it sound. Good Luck Friday night and have a safe trip to Carrollton. GO TROJANS!!!!

BravesFan: Son, you have made a big mistake! First of all, I’m probably old enough to be your dad.
Second, I don’t live in a trailer or with my mom. Third, I am not a redneck. Fourth, if you want to be like your buddy BrookFan, why don’t you show up @ Brookwood Community Stadium Friday night & find out for yourself, son. You are just jealous that Brookwood does not the tradition that other schools in the state do. I am very happy with my life, it’s evident that you have issues denigrating others.

Carver Columbus gets beaten by Calhoun this weekend – badly. Calhoun is too good fundamentally sound for Crowell to run for big yards. Gaps will be filled, sweeps will be read. If Carver Columbus fails to score on a couple of drives in the first half, the game will quickly get out of hand in Calhoun’s favor.
Calhoun will continue to the dome with an easy victory.

Seriously folks? Clinch County is the team to beat in Class A. Wesleyan beat Wilcox and now yall pick Wesleyan to win it all? Clinch thrashed Wilcox in week 3, and held them to 14 points. Clinch murked Charlton County the last game of the season, held them to 7 points, and under 100 yards of total offense. Last but not least won a slugfest against UNDEFEATED ELCA, something Wesleyan could not do. Seriously folks, Wesleyan got to get past Savannah Christian first, then get on our level. Roll Red Roll

They called so many penalties on us they walked them to their endzone on each flag penalty and they score a touchdown only due to them penalties. that caused them to keep walking them like 10-15 yards from their endzones come on now really… So lets think about it If the referees never done that

The Crisp County Woud have not got their last 12points if they referee called 2 penalties one onour coaches for disorderly conduct, that walked them 20yards from their endzone and the other one pass interfences wen their reciever pushed out saftely down and he fell over him and that put them 5yards from their touchdowns.. Our Coaches was gettin mad due to the stupid penalties they was throwing on us.. so if it wasnt from them 2 penalties that they lied about final score Burke County-19 Crips County-6

Looking forward to an awesome game Friday night. We don’t have the greatest field or the largest stadium – please remember that’s not the fault of the fans, parents, or players. We’d love to have more. What we don’t have in facilities, we make up for in heart. We welcome the Trojans to our humble abode – looking forward to the real state championship game at The Battlefield Friday night!!

Bring your speed Burke. We got bunch of it. Carrollton O will lull you to sleep, then Bam. The D is awesome. Hope your O gets to run some plays. Ask Cairo, Good O that couldnt get on field. Word of advise, If you win coin toss, take the ball, might be only time you see it 1st half. Have nice trip to carrollton, you will love Grisham Stadium.

@Burke County Bears True Fan: I have been watching High School Football for 40 years and I have never seen an official walk a team into the endzone and I don’t think you have either. I know and have seen an official’s call have an effect on the outcome of a game. Some of those were bad calls and some were right on, but they came at a time that had an effect on the outcome of the game. A no call by an official can have the same effect. I hope that the officials have no effect on the game but lets face the fact that they are a part of the game. Most of the time good teams overcome bad calls. Also, do you read what you are posting before you submit? If not you need to start.

The Packers will kill Grayson. The pack lost a few games early in the season. Two of those Teams are the best in their states. The other games came for South Ga. schools. Football down here is like the SEC any one can get beat any time. Tyler Brown will light up the Grayson Defense!! The Pack Has to many weapons for Grayson!!

@Burke County #1 Fan: A very good game by your Bears! 49 – 15 is a really close battle! Your faster than fast QB’s had about 100 yards total and most of those were while they ran for their life. Gator Green looked like he should have lined up with our 7th grade team and your kickers obviously haven’t won the Punt, Pass and Kick very often! Actually, your fans represented themselves well and your team played very hard. They deserve better than you as their #1 Fan. Go Trojans! To the Dome!

HC follower, I was there. Calhouns D dominated. There offense hit on all cylinders and controled clock and drove the ball. Passing game looked good. Score would have been higher Christian scores long on a pass that gets called back for ineligable rec (wr lined up wrong).

Crowell was under his average only had 95yards on the night while Dustin Christian ran for 110yards. (Good job O-Line they just dont get much credit as much as they need to) Landon Curtis threw for 189 yards and 2 td’s(19-23). And how about Jt taking the interception outa the db’s hand to score a touchdown for us. We have four great receivers out there for us with great hands.. Our defense was great had great stops when we needed them also had great fan support. Honestly, with the defensive we have(which are made of 6 juniors and 5 seniors) and the such hunger we have for a state championship we WILL win it this year so Buford for the 3rd year in a row we meet again but the result will NOT be the same…”3rd time’s a charm” So Buford get ready for the most hard hitting defense in Georgia that i have ever seen get use to names “Alex Kirby,Hunter Knight,Gus Roberts,Caden Paker, Chance Beaver, Gabe Freeman, Jacob Young, Darius Washington, Jt Palmer, Heath Everett, and Reed Allen” Because they will be all over yall..I hope no one gets hurt and i wish luck to both of the teams but more luck to the jackets. GO JACKETS!!!!! and all the calhoun fans whom where out in the cold friday cheering for the jackets lets all make the trip down to the dome to support our calhoun yellow jackets just as we did in fridays game against carver…
