love all the score predictors, all scores will be 0 to 0 then they play the game. Makes it fun, and I understand, just don’t eat all the crow at one time.

Getting colder out there. I bet that at least a couple of the AAAAAA games aren’t high scoring as they might have been otherwise. The wind will make it more unfriendly as well to the offense. Favors the team with the better running game. As I understand it, Hillgrove can run. We’ll see.

The fact that this area (Lowndes Co/Valdosta) can produced two competitve 5A teams is an acknowledgement of the fact that football is serious in these parts. I wonder how long it will before they put a 5A school in the coastal region to rival Camden…that is what they need.

Size of the school does not matter as much as when they are City School teams, ie Buford, Valdosta, Carrollton, and in the past others like Thomasville, Waycross, E. and W. Rome… The size of the Gwinnett teams is determined by the population. With nearly 30 AAAAA teams and two regions, they should be doing better.

I left out Americus in that, They destroyed their program when they consolidated. The same happened to Waycross, Rome City and Upson Lee.

TF, I wonder how long it will be before the “wheels” start talking about building a third high school in Lowndes Co? Who’s gonna kick against it more, Cat’s fans or Vike’s fans? That would hurt some like it did in Warner Robins. They went from 2 to 4 in just a few years.

Ok, all Tucker fans get to see the state champs tonight (WARE)…….Ware is the real deal, especially on the D side of the ball. This should be a fun game to watch with Tucker’s offense and Ware’s D. I predict Ware 24 – 21 in a close one. Does anyone know if this game is on tv or online to view? And always remember……..GO GATORS!!

South Panola earned #40 point and we gav’em #15 point. Could’ve easily been 40-35 instead of 65-35.
And they know it!

@ty – 30 AAAAA teams in Gwinnett? Regions 7 and 8 are Gwinnett. The number is 17. A geography lesson is required, and I hear that Atlantans don’t know anything about the rest of the State? The way the brackets were set, it was impossible to have more than 4 teams still playing. We have 4. Up to this point, Gwinnett couldn’t have done better.

Game time temp in Valdosta will be 62. A lot higher than I thought. But showers are forecasted to start around 8 pm. Weather radar shows some showers to the west down there.

@squirrell…what about the other 10 points?..40 plus 15 equals 55 not 65 (just saying).

The weather in Valdosta is almost perfect for the Friday Night Light edition of 5A ball, the rain has left and there is a slight cool breeze…nothing to dampen that potent Wildcat offensive attack…I hope this holds through the night…..almost tailgating time in Drexel Park

Fans of GA 4A football, isn’t time to represent. Game time is just a couple of hours away. Dress warm it will be cool in the ATL area.

The fans of region 6, welcome the Gators of Ware County and their supports to the TIGER DEN. Hope our trip was pleasurable and safe. Visitor side is on the left of the stadium, up a small hill. Hopefully you brought your stadium chairs; we do allow this type of seating. BTW, the tigers have overlooked their jungle and in search of tonight’s dinner (Gator). The tigers are focus on one opponent and one opponent only, as they move forward to the goal, GA 4A STATE CHAMPION.
Remember, you are not facing your region teams, or North Clayton, or Whitewater.

WE ARE TUCKER!!!!

There is 17 Gwinnett teams and it takes 2 regions to include them? Our region covers a larger land area, but we only have 5 AAAAA teams, really 4, because Valdosta is playing up. I think Gwinnett has great football. But, why does everyone keep saying Gwinnett has 4 teams left? We are not dealing with counties, we are dealing with regions. If we are counting counties then Colquitt and Lowndes are at 100% because Colquitt has 1 high school and Lowndes has 2. Gwinnett has 17 and 4 are in the quarterfinals. That’s 23.5%.

The key for Tucker tonight is protect the ball. Ware has tough fast defense and turnovers have a way of energizing a team. May be a relatively low scoring game. Tucker has the more expolsive offense, if they protect the ball should be a hard fought victory for Tucker.

Does anyone know if Cook Co. was told to take it easy on Buford? Don’t hurt their feelings, they’re “special” to the AJC. Maybe Cook could just hold it to a one or two point win, that way it wouldn’t look so bad.

Hey iTiSi, the AJC favors the Atlanta teams because they’re the “local” paper. I’m sure the Valdosta paper does the same for the Valdosta teams. Everyone knows newspapers aren’t unbiased like we’d like them to be.

…and I really don’t think Cook County was told to take it easy on Buford. But if Cook loses, I’m sure that’s what you’ll believe.
