One more day then OSBORNE at “THE BONEYARD”…the CANNON will get a lot of practice time for the playoffs…should be interesting to see what kind of a crowd OSBORNE brings…next up a region “play-in”…then the REAL DEAL as the playoffs begin!!!!

Region 5N-AAAA is going to be interesting as the #3 & #4 spots are still to be determined with POPE playing at HIRAM tomorrow night.

So far KELL is the lock for #1 with EAST PAULDING #2…

TICK…TICK…TICK…BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

Marquis Terrell running back from Callaway High
School. He rushed for 1700 yds and 29 Tds last year and averaging over 10 yards per carry this year. Whoever gets him will get a steal. 5′9 165 with 4.38 speed. he is a nightmare for defenses. The ECLA football team. I watch them destroy a good Landmark Christian School two weeks ago. Avery Walls the Safety for ELCA is a beast as well as smart 3.4 GPA. Its Crazy that the top two teams in College Oregon and Auburn has offered Walls as well as over 30 others school but never received a offer from UGA and GA TECH. SMH…. Cant figure that out.

I agree Newnan#1…. Chris Robinson 5′10 200 is hard to handle. He is a difference maker. 5 games he finished Newnan is 5-0. He has over 800 yards in those games including over 250 vs Westlake.

The players who have impressed me the most this season are: Valdosta’s receiver Malcum Mitchell and TE Jay Rome, Colquitt’s QB, and Lowndes CB Kenneth Durden and LB Chris Scurry. I was impressed with Coffee and Ware’s defensive line and linebackers. The South Gwinnett QB was good when I saw him, but there are two or three in Region 1-AAAAA just as good or better.

@ CannonRules…..first of all i see a victorious silver and black locker room this friday night…at least a 14 point or more cover against the Cardinals. Secondly how is the region play-in game going to work for the 10th game? As far as i can tell this is the only region with this set up. Thanks

Second that emotion on WR #26 Malcolm Mitchell from Valdosta….I have not seen a playmaker like him since Greg Reid did the darn thing at Lowndes. I wish Florida State would use him more on offense, like tonight!

I have family in the Atlanta area that tell me the Cedar Grove QB is very special, especially to be a freshman.

If anybody has a crystal ball, and can help me decide on who will be the winner of the Grayson vs. Brookwood contest, please help me out, would you? I’ll rate Grayson as the favorite simply because they’ve won the last couple. Grayson has lost to South Gwinnett in a tight game. Brookwood lost to Dacula by 10 because Dacula kept the ball and ran over them. But Brookwood beat South Gwinnett by 21, and Grayson beat Dacula by 6. Seems like a toss up to me.

I repeat Northsides Defense could very well be the best in the state any class the 49 points they have given up this year were from second string and a couple of long plays hard to drive the field on them

SWD is in a great position to make another deep playoff run (maybe we’ll get to the mountaintop, again). The defense and offense seem to be gettin better as the season has gone on. Panthernation ya heard it here first.

The QB from Sandy Creek. #2 the LB from Lagrange. The Fowler brothers from E.Coweta. Newnan LBs Tanner, Smith, and Melson. The RB from Newton was very impressive as well as PTR linebackers.

Should we be worried now??? the past few weeks the AJC showed
EAST PAULDING NO LOVE!!! and they won both games over HIRAM & POPE…
NOW they give EAST the edge by 40 POINTS!!! over OSBORNE at “THE BONEYARD”””…

After OSBORNE EAST has the “PLAY-IN” game for the region…anybody no exactly how that works? Who will EAST face? Where is it played? Home or Away?

Then we get either LAMBERT or ROME at “THE BONEYARD” for the first round of the playoffs??? Now things start getting exciting!!!

PLOYBOY – You are absolutely correct about Josh Clemons. A real playmaker on both sides of the ball. Especially at the position he has played since the McEachern game. One of several Randy Mac made after the trip home from Powder Springs. Chris Scurry has played really lights out at his new position after that game. And ole #7 Kenneth Durden is a shut down corner back when healthy. The badly bruised hip has affected him the last two weeks. But he was out at my house Sunday with my son, and told me he is really felling better. With the week off next week he and Popeye both should be 100% by the 1st playoff game. (Popeye has had the bad ankle since the Valdosta game)

Hey Cannon, If I’m not mistaken you take the top 4 from 5N and we play the top 4 from 5S. The following should be the format. 1vs4 2vs3, As you can tell the Top 2 in 5N is already sorted out and then Chapel Hill and South Paulding will be playing Friday night for their #1 spot, if Chapel Hill loses then there will be a 3 way tie for 2nd place in that sub region because Chapel hill has lost to Douglas county and beaten villa rica. Villa Rica has beaten Douglas County and lost to Chapel Hill, Douglas County has Beaten Chapel Hill but lost to Villa Rica. So if Chapel Hill loses and Villa Rica and Douglas County both win there will be three 4-2 teams in that sub region. Hiram and Pope will be playing for 5N #3 and 4 spot. Either way I would look for all 4 of the playoff teams to come from the northern sub region of 5-AAAA. All four teams are battle tested and play tough defense. It was stated before the season started that 5N-AAAA would be the stronger of the two sub regions and it has stayed true to those words. All of this mess will all be worked out after tomorrow night, so just buckle your seat belts and enjoy the ride.

@AVIKINGFAN … I agree with the players you named but you did forget your guy Josh Clemons, I know he impressed me. Also was up with my guys from McEachern #2 WR Chris Davis, WR Amba Etta-Tawo, TE Rory Anderson, and not mention QB Dondre Purnell? Atleast one of them had to impress you? LOL Good luck to you guys this week, were getting closer to the rematch. LOL

Montanto and Blu Eagle ,For me it’s a toss up between Briar Van Brunt and Stephen Cross……..Van Brunt is the heart of the offense , this kid fears nothing or no one…Starting with his debut against Miami’s B.T Washingtons Tornadoes in his soph season ,I have been impressed ever since……….Cross , there’s nothing this kid can’t do ….He a very good running , full back , slot reciever , blocker , you name it , he’ll do it

reeze i agree but watching them all year this defense is the best i have seen in awhile they are hard to beat they have a great front 4 there db’s are great and there linebackers are some of the fastest hardest hitting i gave ever seen at northside they have a great kicking game and great returners all in all they are the most talented team in 4a this team beat lowndes colquitt and valdosta last year oh yea and newnan

Almost forgot , and DB #28 Nelson ,this kid is an excellent pass defender…..the acrobatic int vs Lee county was unbelivieable…….And he is a value for the offense and defense with his returns , not only his returns for TD’s ,but any return he gets his hands on he’ll get it to mid field the majority of the time

montanto

Montanto , I agree , they were all over acheivers last year……We expected no better than a 4th seed in region 1-AAAAA last season…..Other than the secondary and O-line all Soph’s and Jr’s , the majority were playing J.V ball and either starting or getting good PT on friday nights last season…..Thats why they are playing so well this year…Camden was too much for them in the Dome as it turned out….Yeah the D-line is something special , they had the Walker kid from Lee county running for his life a couple weeks back,,,Whats more impressive is with Big Thompson out, I think Albritton is the only senior on the D-line.
