One of Georgia’s top 2012 prospects announces college decision

Norcross High shooting guard Chris Bolden, one of the state’s most heavily-recruited basketball prospects for 2012, committed to Miami.

The 6-foot-2 Bolden was also considering offers from Clemson, Marquette, Nebraska, Louisville, among others. He is ranked as the No. 98 junior in the nation by Rivals.

“I love the freedom that the Miami system gives the guards,” Bolden said. “I’m a shooter and watching practice I could see how I could bring that and be a valuable part of the team.

“I also have a lot of family in the Miami area and it will be exciting to have them watch me play. Overall, the atmosphere on campus and with thestudents was exactly what I was looking for”.

Bolden averaged 9.5 points last year as a sophomore.

I’ll bet the house if he doesn’t play “D” at the next level he will be sooooo deep on the bench that you won’t be able to see him with wide angle lens.As far as puttin’ up 20 plus per game,(I’m LMAO)that may transfer to 5 or 6 ppg.And to top it off he’s six foot two……CMON SON !!!HE B E T T E R LEARN TO PLAY THE P O I N T

Defense, offense, who gave you a 4-year college education at $60K a year? Keep your wide angle lens focused while he’s sitting in class getting his degree. You idiots forget the bigger picture in life.

Stayed at Brookwood? Brookwood doesn’t know talent when it slaps them in the face. That’s why we always lose so many talented athletes in all sports.

Isn’t that the definition of a HATER? To point out the negative in something and never acknowledge the positive? But it’s cool. It’s ok to be a HATER. All the great ones have em.

Quit whining- You do not diminsh Chris’ accomplishments. You just show your jealousy and ignorance.

What a terrific opportunity for any player to get to play at the college level! It is quite an accomplishment where ever he and any Norcross player ends up!!

ESPN Player EvaluationsEvaluation On The Trail Conversation Strengths:
Christopher is one of those guys who consistently can score the ball. He finds different ways to hurt defenses whether it be from 3 or in the lane. He is an excellent spot up shooter with good range. He has a nice body with long arms and decent bounce off the floor. He can make plays in the paint off the dribble or create space for pull-up jump shots.

Weaknesses:
He lacks great quickness on the perimeter and does not play above the rim; however this kid can score the ball with anybody.

Bottom Line:
Bolden shows a fearless confidence for a young player. His ability to consistently knock down key jump shots and is impressive. He wants the ball in crucial situations and has the savvy to make the high percentage play. He is improving athletically with maturity; he is fundamentally sound on the defensive end and should develop as one of the next good ones to come out off Norcross.

Thanks for the full evaluation of Chris. It looks pretty impressive. Now if I may go back to my original post which was a response to a blogger that said,”Who needs defense when you can put up 20+ points per game”.Here is my response:
I’ll bet the house if he doesn’t play “D” at the next level he will be sooooo deep on the bench that you won’t be able to see him with wide angle lens.As far as puttin’ up 20 plus per game,(I’m LMAO)that may transfer to 5 or 6 ppg.And to top it off he’s six foot two……CMON SON !!!HE B E T T E R LEARN TO PLAY THE P O I N T
Pointing out the FACT that if Chris or any other kid that goes to the next level and depends solely on offense is in for a rude awakening should not be considered as hate but simply a portion of BB IQ.That qualifies me as a “HATER”?Well maybe, but I’m hating on the blogger, not the player. So now what you CAN do is take this that I have written and show it to any coach at any level and THEY WILL AGREE with what I say.
Until then….Getoverit

Jealousy is so evil. Brings out the worst in people. Facts or no facts, jealousy over a little high school boy, you must be so pathetic in your own life that all you have to focus on is a high school boy. But hey, since you know so much about Chris, maybe you’re something other than just a jealous fan?? This isn’t the personals section. Man you can go to jail for such underage stalking on a high school boy. I know Chris is good-looking but you’re a little too concerned with him.
