Last I checked the AJC was a GA paper, and CAMDEN is a GA team. So for reggaeman and his criticism of “big mouth” CAMDEN fans, you can take that back down to south florida. CATs the whole state of GA is behind you tonight. I will be cheering all the way from Diego Garcia. Good luck to both teams tonight, and I know Coach Herron will have the boys leave it all out on the field. I have chills just thinking about this. GO CATS GO.

Yes Because us camden fans has class. But all I can say is St. Thomas Aquinas Welcome to Wildcat football!!!! What time is it “game time”!!!Where just getting our names out their in the nation, and we are gonna prove everyone in the state and the nation, what camden county football is about!!! A small town on exit 1 when you get in Georgia, the bottom of Georgia. To the state of Georgia we are gonna hold it down I guarantee that for sure!!! The only team I feel like can give CAMDEN compitition is Lowndes County!!! But thanks from you guys for the luck and i hope to see them in the future, i love me a match like that…but take one game at a time. But Camden Has another Championship team this year, but its all up to coach Herron with what he want to do with it, because he has the talent to do it!! Lets go Cats and lets bring this Victory back to Georgia, and put Georgia football on the map!! Where gonna show that Camden football is one heck of a program in the nation!!!

Camden County fans, just to give you a little insight. St.Thomas is not merely your average highschool team. They are a small college team. They will intimidate their as soon as you walk off the bus. They will put your team in the GYM prior to the game to see all the championship banners and alumni. 2. They will dress out 150 players, which is also a sight to see. 3. and lastly they have the best special team coach in the nation.

Listen to me. If any Camden County poster can clarify this one question: did Camden County stay in a hotel last night. If Camden was in a hotel last night, forget about St. Thomas Aquinas competing. Clowns like Reggaeman are talking crazy. The last time a top tier Florida team faced a top tier Georgia team, Miami’s Booker T. Washington got “violated” in Warner Robins, GA by Northside High School. The kids from Miami were a step slow and so undisciplined, it was like playing a bad DeKalb County program.
I do not by that a private school in Florida is going to have the athletes to slow down Camden County’s Wing T offense. I honestly believe that Camden County is going to win easily.
Camden County 28, St. Thomas Aquinas 17.
Go Wildcats! The Peach State KNOWS that you are going to represent us very well. By the way, the stadium is small because practically every top tier Florida program plays in a small stadium.

ENR, St. Thomas is not your typical private school, it sit in the middle of the hood, so they give scholarships to alot of under privileged kids that come from the area. Their team is gonna be like Miami Central but with the best coaching in Florida. That’s why they are always an elite team. There WR’s are top notch, but who wouldn’t be with Cris Carter as your WR coach. This St. Thomas team is young, but their top 2 WR’s are committed to Miami (#4 Phillip Dorsett) and Fla St. (#1 Rashard Greene) and their QB is committed to Iowa. So don’t stick them one on one, if you do it will be along nite. I think it will be a good game, but I can tell you one thing they won’t be out coached. Coach Smith is a top 5 coach in the nation, going for his 350th win tonight.

Yeah, the defense is really young. I would have expected them to learn a little bit after the Miami Central game though.
Camden will probably keep running the ball until the 4th. If they still are loosing by a bunch they might put Ramsey in at QB and try to pass it but I doubt it. Coach Herron never bothered to put together a 2 minute drill or anything like that.

I LIVE IN CAMDEN. THE CAMDEN COUNTY FAITHFUL NEED TO SHUT UP. REAL FOOTBALL DON’T PLAY WING T 4 QUARTERS WHEN YOU’RE DOWN DOUBLE DIGITS. Herron is good in Georgia, but even here in Camden real fans know his wing T sucks. Take a butt whipping because of poor coaching as always and win the state championship so the passy can be put in the Camden babys mouth. Should have stayed playing Charlton and GA schools, now your lol coaching style shows up as always. Herron did a great job in helping the Camden talent get some state championships, but as far as National Title he’ll never get it because he can’t adapt to the game, he expects the game to adapt to him. Take a loss and keep running that pitiful wing T, placing a couple of kids in D2 schools a year. As Shakepeare said, “You’re on stage now.”

I agree that Coach Herron is really overrated, but sticking to the Wing-T didn’t cost Camden this game. The were driving to take the lead when they fumbled it. They were about to cut it to 1 touchdown with plenty of time left…and fumbled it. They lost this game because of execution not the Wing T.

@guwinster
I agree execution to a point. The Wing T works against a team that is undiscipline. Against a team that has national recognition year end and out, extremely disciplined, and well coached, the Wing T will never work. It will only get you so far and then you’re doomed. Look at GA Tech running the Wing T, if they get down by 14 points they’re doomed because they can’t keep up the scoring, especially against a good defense in which they’re repeatedly punting the football. This is why a great team and even good team can spread the field in multiple formations if they have too. Camden never has done this and never will. This is why when they compete nationally against top teams, COACH HERRON HAS A LOSING RECORD. HERRON IS NOT A GOOD COACH, A GOOD COACH ADJUSTS TO THE GAME AS IT GOES, NOT CONTINUE TO DO THE SAME THING THAT GETS THE SAME BAD RESULT. He ran that Wing T until the last second of the game. Camden has a quarterback with a great arm, but because they only pass 3 times a game, their rhythm will always be horrible and he will never have touch. Every pass will be either under thrown or over thrown. IN ORDER TO BE A GREAT NATIONAL PROGRAM YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DIVERSIFY IF NECESSARY AND BECAUSE OF THIS ALL CAMDEN WILL EVER DO IS WHEN SOME STATE TITLES. THEY WILL NEVER BE THE VALDOSTA OF THE 80′S. AND I’M FROM CAMDEN AND STILL LIVE IN CAMDEN!

Camden County beat themselves in the 2nd half. Being 24-7 in the first half, and coming back after the 1st half and began dominating ST Thomas Aquinas in the 3rd Quarter said a lot about Camden County. It should be noted that St Thomas Aquinas was held to only 2 yards rushing the entire first half. They had a decent passing game against Camden County. The third quarter I believe they were held to only 12 yards rushing as well. Camden County executed very well on offense in the third quarter scoring two touchdowns with in four minutes in the third quarter bring them back in the game win 3 points. 24-21. It was the fourth quarter where simple mistakes cost Camden County the game. two fumbles in the red zone, and a pass interference that cost them as well. Had it not been for those crucial mistakes, Camden County would have won that game. It should also be noted that St Thomas Aquinas is a PRIVATE school and they can recruit talent from anywhere in the country. Camden County is limited within their County. If local public High Schools in Georgia were allowed to legally recruit talent as the private schools are allowed to do, Georgia would be unstoppable against any team outside the State Of Georgia. No doubt about it.

Camden plain and simply lost to a better team in STA. I knew after the first five minutes of the game that it was going to be an uphill battle for Camden. Just one man’s opinion, but I think that Camden’s regular season schedule hurts them when going up against nationally ranked teams like STA. It looks good statistically putting 50+ points a game up against the Savannah area schools, but at the end of the day, the level of competition that Camden plays weekly just doesn’t prepare them for the next level. To be honest, no more than one, maybe two Savannah area schools actually has a legitimate AAAAA enrollment. Most of those schools are really AA or AAA schools playing up in a AAAAA region. Heck, there are only five legitimate AAAAA programs south of the fall line period.
The wing-t offense isn’t the best offense to use when going up against a team with the speed and talent of a STA.

To the viking below that was pulling for us, I just want to let you know that we appreciate it.
We have a tremendous amount of respect for your team as well. In the end, you have to pull for that Georgia team!

@ Hurricane, “Short and Sweet”…..defense wins football games…Camden’s defense did not stop the pass. The wing T could have won that ballgame offensively…………………………………………………….

Bullnation,
ST. Thomas Aquinas had a lot of penalties only due to personal foul unsportsmanlike conduct. In the third yes, Camden County dominated like I stated. They were running straight don their throats on power football. Camden Defense was remarkable in the 3rd and have shut their running game down completely at one point.
No excuses though. St. Thomas Aquinas won. But that only means one thing for Camden County. They will not lost another game. You can take that to the Bank.

A good offensive minded coach with decent receivers can put points on Camden.. that 3-3-5 defense can be passed on but everyone so stuck on running against them and that’s not going to happen. With all the players Camden dresses out I don’t see why there’s not 2 schools in that huge county.
