Pelham becomes fourth Georgia team to forfeit games

Pelham has forfeited its victories over Baconton Charter and Stewart County because of the inadvertent use of an ineligible player, Pelham coach Jim Morrell reported Thursday.

Pelham’s record now is 0-4. The win over Stewart County was a Region 1-A game.

Pelham is the fourth Georgia school to forfeit at least one game this season because of an ineligible player. The others are First Presbyterian Day, Mill Creek and Towers.

The forfeits have led to the only victories of the season for each of the opposing schools. They are Cherokee, Central of Macon, Baconton Charter, Stewart County and Strong Rock Christian.

Trojan fans: The farther away you get from metro Atlanta overhyped football, the more clueless the AJC staff gets. Furthermore, Coffee is in Region 1-AAAAA. Region 1 is practically the only place outside of the sprawl of Atlanta that is believed to have football.

We did till we got this Coach…..Now we only hope he’ll be gone soon. We have great kids and talent but need someone who knows what they’re doing coaching. Its become a joke in town and players also talk about him.
