Week after week Peach county shows why they are the 1# team in AAA.I must say that some of the game that they started out playing was a little sloppy,i dont know why but they got the job done. This friday nite was a statement win over Westside, they played like the champion that they are,the coach pulled the startes with about two minutes left in the 3 quarter, because the game was all ready over and the cheap shots own our quarterback. The defense looks great and the offense looks good to,but you win with a good defense. So trojans keep getting better each week u play.

I forgot to add this to the list of classless actions by North, before the game East had a sign on the fence that said “NP? No Prob” one of the “adult” fans of North Paulding tore it up before the game.

Well, I shouldn’t have listened to a North Paulding player I guess. I am disappointed in that young man but after the way the others behaved I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. So, I apologize for stating anything about the locker room.

Warner Robbins isn’t loosing because of the opening of Veterans. I’m guessing that Houston County gave current high schoolers the option of staying at the school they were allready at instead of having to move to Veterans. Thus, the 35 players who moved were probably all backups, underclassmen, or people fed up with the current system. Older high schools shouldn’t feel the effects of a new high school until roughly 2 years after the new school’s opening.

If Auburn/Alabama can shake hands after a game, Georgia/GT, Falcons/Saints, Texas/Oklahoma, Michigan/Notre Dame… I think two High Schools from the same county could have shook hands after an emotional game without incident.

These other rivalries actually kneel down and pray together after the game. I think it’s sending the wrong message to all involved to say “Hey, this is so big and they acted so bad that we have to seperate the two teams.”

Com’on, it’s kids playing football.

The good news for Lowndes is they still have 2 open dates this year
since they had to start the season a week earlier than most of the state.

A week off before the Winnersville Classic and a week off before the
playoffs…….see ya then kb…..you do have a team that occassionally gets there….the playoffs….right?

And while I do agree that there is no justification for the North player hitting the quarterback (very slightly) on the last play, I do wonder why the starting quarterback and every other starter was in the game for every play until the last kneel down, when East was up by 37 at half time.

Looked like an opportunity for playing time for some of the other East players. Might need some of those other players to contribute against Hiram.

“guwinster” according to the Macon Tellegraph only the rising 12 graders were given the option to stay at their current school. All the rest of the student body had no choice about the school that they attended.

If the losing team refuses to shake hands…example..Lowndes at MAC, then it is usually bad sportsmanship, but if the winning teams refuses to shake hands… Then there is usually a good reason.. Don’t get me wrong… I am not an East fan… They cry more than anybody when they lose, but North is not looking any better. After all they are former East fans… Go figure… Really what can you exspect from these two teams. It’s not gonna get any better.

Kell sure put a whooping on us at the HIVE last pm! They were a very disciplined team and impressive to watch. Hiram definitely had a rough night! Seems nothing went their way! Other than the Kell fans chanting “overrated” to our boys, I thought everyone on both sides acted classy. Wish the same could be said for the other big game last night! But, there’s always next week to prove ourselves again! GO HORNETS!!

wow — you are really passionate about the coaching box and Marist’s violations related to it. Based on my observations of coaches in Region 6-AAAA over the last five years, if you wanted to call a penalty for violations of the coaching box you could probably call it on all of the good coaching staffs on every snap. The worst I have seen in the last two years was the Appalachee coaching staff. But, it didn’t impact the game or its outcome. The real issue with coaches on the field is when they get in the faces of officials. So it’s really up to the officials to police coaches who interrupt the pace of play, particularly those who are in the faces of officials.

Good point, Jacksonwille John. I am pretty sure that aromatherapy won’t do much for me, but nice scotch might do the trick.

Do remember, I am a fan of the Suwanee teams: Collins Hill, Peachtree Ridge, and North Gwinnett. Some day the playoff brackets will fall so that Lowndes gets a trip to Suwanee – maybe this year. I will be happy to show them just as much hospitality when they arrive as they have shown the Suwanee teams.

Suwanee Ownz,Be very careful of what you ask for. Remeber the Championship Game, you guys got a beat down, and they did the same to PeachtreeRidge. North Gwinnett got the same treatment on their field from a different team last year correct. If the team is better most of the time the better teams eventually wins the game. Right now Lowndes has Suwanees number and its in their back pocket. You guys are obsessed with beating Lowndes, that mostly means your envious of their success. Beat them no matter of the place, anything other than that, is excuses. Camden lost the coin toss to you guys last year, but didn’t make excuses went and handled their business, to win Championship its times you will have to win on the road. If the only way you can win is to get them at your home field isn’t saying much. How about a neutral site. Because your saying we can’t beat you, but if we get you at home we can.

Was at the Stone Mountain vs Woodard Academy game and did the refs ever blow that one. Their RB was clearly down on a play and let the ball go as he was getting up and they called it a fumble and Woodward scores right before the 4th qtr. Completely turned that game around, Stone Mountain shouldve won that game, Im not sure of those refs were not paid. Two good teams though, but I think Stone Mountain was definately cheated out of that one.

TD- just want to clarify that the Lowndes players not shaking hands after the game was because of our students rushing the field to celebrate. That contest was a great battle- a heap of emotion in addition to the controversial ending…but seeing the outstanding sportsmanship and respect displayed by the players of both teams throughout the game made all of us proud.

Yo, I hear what you are saying. wE are 5 games into the season. That is more than enough time for teams to begin to come together. Why? Region play is around the corner. Lowndes is not the only young team out there. From what I understand Camden, NG,PTR, just to name a few who are young teams this year. Lowndes still have the same QB and backs from last year. They run the Wing T. It did not produce in the game last night or against Mac. Ware gave away numerous turnovers, but the offense could not capitalize. 5 games, there should be some improvement on the O line. If Lowndes play like they did last night, against Mac and even South Gwinnett, they will not be around long. Don’t care how many off days you have. That can work for you or against you.

kb

September 25th, 2010
9:49 pm

yo, actually scrimmages mean something. They are a good measuring rod for things to come later into the season. Now, we can be realistic or we can pretend. Ware played the Cats tough in the first half but coach Gillespie made the proper adjustments for the second half. He proved that Valdosta would be a force to be reckoned with. You want proof? Look at how we’ve played since. I won’t say that Valdosta is what Valdosta was back in the day but

Cont’d. Valdosta is a much better team under Gillespie so don’t expect us to just let lowndes take The Classic this year.

As long as the Georgia Bulldogs, keep recruiting these AJC so call super 11 from north Georgia, they will never win. Fire Mark Richt he can’t Coach and Mike Bobo is no Offensive Coordinator. Those garbage recievers, terrible secondary, Caleb King and Ealy belong at Ga Sothern. Roster full of Atlanta area players thats soft.

Camden has players at Clemson, Florida State, Florida, South Carolina and other schools, and most are starters, kinda glad none are at Georgia. This is very embarassing. I agree with Outsider. Who is doing the recruiting, whoever the Atlanta area recruiter is he needs to be fired.

@wildcat fan and Camden74….I agree about the Georgia recruiting woes, but in all fairness, there are a few players from the south that were busts as well. For one, Israel Troup from Tift. I can not believe how they have completely lost the ability to recruit Lowndes though. Florida State raids us every year.

Kell fan, I wasn’t actually playing. As a matter of fact, I didn’t have a kid playing. I never disputed that East had a better team or that they beat North convincingly. I am just pointing out the classless way the game was played (on both sides in some instances) and they ways the East coaches handled the situation afterwards.
