Norcross High combo guard Josiah Moore has pledged to sign a basketball scholarship with Nebraska.

Nebraska-bound Josiah Moore (Special)
The 6-foot-5 Moore was also considering Auburn, Marquette, Georgia State and Georgia Southern. He averaged 9 points last year for Norcross.
“[Nebraska] is will be moving into the Big Ten conference and that was very appealing to me,” Moore said in a statement. “I think it will be a good opportunity to play my freshman year and against some good competition every night.”
Moore was a key player for Norcross, which posted a 27-3 record last year and nearly upset eventual state champion Milton High in the playoffs. Said Norcross coach Jesse McMillan, “Josiah was an integral part of our success last season. He understands the value of the team concept and knows how to contribute in all areas on the floor. He will be counted on to excel in a scoring role as well as improve on his rebounding and defensive leadership this year.”
Moore is ranked as the state’s No. 15 prospect by one recruiting service.

Tough loss for GSU here. He wasn’t likely to pay right away as we signed two very good guards in Devonta White and JaVonte Maynor.
Good luck to him and good luck in the Big 10 (Big Dozen?).

Big win for Nebraska! Josiah was a key player for Norcross over the past two years with a record of 54-6. He is a good shooting guard who can play a big defensive role. Norcross fans are looking for a big year from him.

Josiah had a great AAU season and will show his abilities to handle the ball, score and run the floor for a very good Norcross team.
