Basketball: Milton High’s 6-foot-8 junior scouted by North Carolina Tar Heels

North Carolina is one of the many schools taking time this month to observe Milton High 6-foot-8 swingman Evan Nolte, one of the top junior basketball players in Georgia.

Nolte led his AAU team, the Southern Kings, to the championship of a Mytle Beach, S.C., tournament. He scored 27 points in the first half of the semifinals, finishing with 34. In the championship game, Nolte scored 24 to help the Kings win the Under-16 tournament.

Nolte already has around a dozen offers, including Georgia Tech and UGA. Schools such as North Carolina, Duke, Florida and Stanford are evaluating him this month in the various regional and national AAU tournaments.

Come on he would be a star at carolina…he would not just be another name, and if he was, wats wrong wit that at Carolina, think of some of the Names they have there, Michael Jordan, James Worthy, Raymond Felton, Ty Lawson, Tyler Hansbrough, Jerry Stackhouse, Rasheed Wallace, Vince Carter…those are some pretty big names he would be apart of

Cant go wrong either way. Carolina will get you to the next level and showcase your talents while competing for championships. Fox is a good coach too and will use you effectively…you will be our team if you come to UGA. I have a weird feeling this kid plays in the ACC…lets hope its not at Tech.

He’s very close to his big vrother. But, If I was Connor, I would privately tell him to go to the ACC (not Gtech). this kid is special. Can’t wait to see Milton this year. They might could beat UGA – and thats not a knock on UGA.
