Sgt Chris,

Still don’t believe in Region 3?

How about Region 3 AAA Liberty County?
How about Region 3-AAAAA Bradwell Institute ladies?

Region 1 is Quite

Just like in football, region 1 AAAAA got theirs butts handed to them when playoff time comes. Beat your chest during the regular season but 1-and-done when the playoffs begin. Will you guys ever learn that eating crow is a hazard to your health?

SPORTSFAN–Never said I didnt believe in Region 3. I was just commenting on the bracket. We are always up for a challenge and I hope we get a hoop shot at Liberty County, but thats looking ahead. We have a talented Monroe team coming in next. We have to shore up our defense especially from our guards because the guards from west laurens were constantly gettin to the rim, they just werent finishing. So, we will see

Rockdale vs fayette was a good game …. Of course fayette blew the game after having a 14 point lead against the number 1 team…. True teams know how to keep composure and come back n find a way to win!!! Rockdale played a terrible game and still won!!! That team has played top teams outa state this year and won … Watch out for um .. Rematch of last year rockdale vs miller grove n championship game this year!!!

I was just poking a little fun at you since football season. I am very proud of the Region 3 AAAAA and Region 3 AAA Basketball Teams. For them men Basketball Teams in Region 3 AAAAA those Savannah Schools are showing up to play ball. (Unlike Football)

Region 3-AAAAA Bradwell Institute Lady Tigers just like last year is giving a spectacular performance each, and every game they play.

Region 3 AAA will be the team to try to beat. they are taking no prisoners.

Good Luck Westover High School Basketball team.

Saw both Groves and Johnson last night in Savannah. Groves is very good but shouldn’t have struggled at home against MLK. Seemed to struggle and get frustrated when they couldn’t run and dunk like they wanted. A good defensive minded team that is disciplined can give them trouble. Johnson was ok but beating a one dimensional 9-18 Redan team was what they should have done. It will be like night and day playing Westlake in their next game. Don’t see them coming within 20 or 30.

AAA should hand Columbia the Trophy now…that way teams want have to waist their time traveling. Because how I see it Liberty,Westover,Monroe,LaGrange,S.Atlanta and whoever else is on the top part of the bracket…gonna knock each other off!!! So much for seedings. Glad we fell at the bottm of the bracket!!!Lol
Have fun beating up on each other up there!!!!LMAO

Lovejoy don’t have a chance against Groves of Savannah. Groves front line is too big, and no team in the state can stop them from running, despite what JC says. However, you got it right with the Johnson and Wstlake game JC. Johnson will loose by 30.

I hate how high school teams like Milton, Wheeler, Norcross, and Centennial recruit. Not fair to the teams who play by the rules. Three Milton players including dai-jon all used to go to our school

Hey all..hope everyone is enjoying the State playoffs and hope your team has moved on. With that being said, anyone know anything about Central Gwinnett? I looked at ga.prepcountry.com and I’m not sure if it was a typo or not, but their tallest players are 6′4? Any help confirming that would be appreciated.

PC Hoops Fan,
The Marist player who scored all the points was an awesome player, no doubt. But, they were a one person team–at least last night. In the end, Hiram’s defense outplayed them and the offense outscored them. It was a great game with both teams standing a good chance to win. Never seen so many BMW’s trying to escape the parking lot!

Doyle: I like that scenario in the west. If all cylinders fire, I agree. Unfortunately, I think Dai Jon and the gang will do just enough to win. Just to drive me crazy. And to tantalize Devil Nation into thinking woulda coulda shoulda. I will be there. Of course gotta beat Marri”-do it the right way without recruiting, except for Patrick Ewing Jr”-etta.

@ Lonewolf….both teams are really good!!! S.Atlanta has good front court play with Jacobs, Bell and Co.On the flip side Elbert Co. has Rucker,Heard and Co that get after it too. You really dont want to play either of those but to be Champions we have to face the music. I honestly believe that the schedule we have faced this year has prepared us for these 2 weeks ahead. That being said both teams are equally as good!! Liberty and Westover are awesome too!!!!!
As we all know… regular season games dont mean nothing if you dont come to play in the next 2 weeks!!! Good luck to everyone!!! Go Eagles!!!

Newton won last Friday vs Jenkins because they hit 21 of 22
from the free throw line, thank you very much. They have a good
chance to make the funal 4 due to their bracket, but they are a
very fundamentally sound roundball team.
Why, you ask ?? Coach Rasmussen served as Ron Bradley’s
assistant coach for several years. Bradley is the absolute master
of team play and fundamentals and his 1300 + victories over 50
years backs it up.
Free throw clinics to be scheduled in Athens before the SEC
tournament !!

Wheelerfan I remember when Pat Ewing Jr. transferred from that PRIVATE SCHOOL and started going MARIETTA WHERE HE ATE, SLEPT, AND ACTUALLY LIVED. I also remeber either QUINNELL GREEN(SOUTH COBB DR.) or was it JEMAREO DAVIDSON(EAST POINT)or any of the LONG lists of players THE WHEELER TALENTSNATCHERS have RECRUITED FROM ATLANTA-SOUTH FULTON and SOUTH DeKALB made 5A BASKETBALL THE JOKE IT IS….MY FAULT except WESTLAKE, region 2-AAAAA and all the Savannah schools that don’t RECRUIT 7 to 8 ballers because there communites actually produce talent like ZONE 3 and COLUMBIA Dr.

Saw Newton a few times this year and they are a good team but playing in a weak region(2-AAAAA) will hurt them assuming they meet up with Groves in the 3rd round. Don’t think they’ll be able to rebound with Groves and their fast break is very good. They would have to play a very deliberate game to cut down on possessions and rotate at least two players back on defense on missed shots. Otherwise the game could get away from them quickly and they would be forced to play up-tempo which would be exactly what Groves will want. Groves should make the final four and is definately a threat to win. Haven’t seen Norcross so I don’t know how they would stack up but Westlake would be a great match. It would look like a college game size-wise with a slight edge going to Westlake.

Lovejoy is in trouble…Can’t stop Groves from running, nor will they be able to get rebounds. Groves in the best rebounding school in the state, and has the front line to match up with anyone. Maybe MLK’s coaches can meet with Lovejoy’s basketball and give them a pointer or two.

Norcorss has plenty of experience, i think Norcorss will pull of the upset vs Milton, and it will be Norcorss vs Wheeler. This will be a great game because it is always so close when we play each other. Jeremy Lamb is a complete monster and will take the Blue Devils to their fourth state title in the last 5 years. GO NORCROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dynasty- i’ll take a 3-headed monster over one monster (i havent seen lamb this year, so cant comment on him, but i assume i saw him last year at the wheeler norcross game, and no one on your team stood out, no offense) any day of the weak, and miltons trio is pretty nasty, i hope wheeler doesnt overlook c gwinnet so i can make the trip to west ga to see wheeler and the mil/norcross game

Kevin Ware from Rockdale County didn’t have a bad game, he simply isn’t that great of a player. You can make all the excuses you want, but Fayette County had a great team this year. There is no way Rockdale will win state.

Milton does have a good squad and i was at the Milton vs Norcross game. Norcorss played poorly that game. I just think that an experienced team with a experienced coach will switch onto another gear during playoffs. Milton Norcross will be the championship game.
