Two Class A players were named the all-classification player of the year in the 2000-09 decade.
Those two – Washaun Ealey of Emanuel County Institute and Monte Williams of Commerce – are the prime candidates for Class A player of the decade. Williams, who rushed for a state-record 8,844 yards in his career, played only one season in the decade, so that made our choice easier. Ealey rushed for 8,106 yards in his career and holds state records for touchdowns in a season (58) and career (133). He leads GHSF Daily’s Class A Team of the Decade. (The year in parentheses is the last season played by each player.)
Here are the GHSF Daily’s picks for Class A all-decade team. Please submit your own selections below. Or tell us what you think of the GHSF Daily picks.

Where’s the love for Zach Stanford? Played from 2001-2004 for Metter and finished with over 9000 career passing yards. That still stands as the state record, regardless of classification!
