Northside oh how I wish we could have played you again. Way to go Camden. Your program is a class act. We hated to lose but at least we lost to the State Champions who have class.

As I said two days ago, ENR and the Eagles can have Atlanta, Camden gets the trophy.

As for the team of the decade, here is my point. I am a huge Camden fan, but 121-13 for Camden and 121-14 for NS, I think they are both great in their own rights. Tonight was Cats night, but both are class programs. They are both programs of the decade in their own rights. Congrats to the Wildcats, 31-3.

Congrats to NSWR for a great season.

Man I need to go to Vegas and pick games….I was perfect in my picks yesterday! I had Wilcox, Buford, Peach, Sandy Creek and Camden and I be dog if all of them didnt win…You go JayBo!!!! Congrats to all the Champions as well as their opponents!!!

Now to the final game tonight….Camden totally thrashed NS tonight!!!! What a complete well coached, well oiled football machine. Northside was dominated from start to finish and completely overmatched!!! While I give them credit for being a fine program who have won a lot of games, they still cannot win title games…PERIOD!!!!!! So lets officially remove NS name from the team of the decade discussion. Its between Camden and Lowndes and with Camden being so dominant, I give them the edge right now in the team of the decade debate!! A certain fella likes to bill Conrad Nix as the best coach in Ga. In the words of Terrance Moore, former sports columnist for the ajc, PLUEEZE!!!!! Remember a few years ago the folks down there in Warner Robins was about to run his behind out of town b/c he along with his teams always chocked in the big games. Then he finally won a couple titles and things settled down. But this guy Jeff Herron from Camden can flat out coach….his team passed more tonight than they have all season…thats coaching my friends!!! So Jeff Herron is the best coach in Ga….end of discussion…its certainly not Conrad nix!!!!!! Wow, Camden drug their opponent more than any other team did in the finals. Say it aint so…the GREAT NORTHSIDE, the better than every body else program, was the one who got drug….ok end of story!!!

Hey ENR
Just so you know, I told you two days ago that Camden would win by more than one score, just did not know that it would be 4 scores. The difference tonight was speed, Camden had way too much speed for NSWR. I told my father in law that the first 9 minutes would tell the tale, and 21 points later, it did. Van Brunt had no time to throw the ball, and his timing was off all night. He had receivers open, and missed them badly. He was chased out of his game. Speed is always the determining factor in games like this. NSWR could not match Camden’s speed.

Camden, back to back State Champions! Drive safely home.

WildcatFan, well my friend our Cats pulled it off once again. Remember us talking about all we had to do was play our game and we would be fine, well thats what happen and now Camden is Back To Back State Champs. Congrats to the players coaches for both teams. I’m still in Hawaii, but I was able to watch the first half of the game, then the online feed started messing up, I had to switch to KBay because I couldn’t take anymore of the GPB anouncers pulling for NS. Have a safe trip home and now roll out the basketballs for everyone. GO CATS GO

First of all, I won’t to say congratulations to Peach Co. You earned it. The AAA championship was by far the most exciting game of the finals, followed by the A title game. As for why Gainesville went for 2, I knew that Miller would do it before they scored, Gainesvilles’ kicking game has been their achilles heel all season, it just didn’t play a factor until tonight. The only flaw that I saw with it was that I thought the best play in those circumstances would have been a QB draw, thereby leaving the ball in the most talented players hands on your team, and in the game. Even if he does make the extra point, Gainesville had not moved the ball well on Peach Co., and the running game of Peach had been very productive against Gainesville all night. With the kicking issues that Gainesville has had all season, going for two was the right call, and if he had it to do all over again, Coach Miller would probably do the same thing again. Just want to say congratulations to both Peach Co. and Gainesville on the stellar seasons both teams had. To all Gainesville players and coaches, hold your heads high, you have nothing to be ashamed of, Hall County is very proud of you guys.

Congrats to WilCo on the win, but enough already about their QB.

As a junior, he’s unpolished and wildly erratic. His best bet is to work his tail off this spring and attend as many QB camps as possible this summer to improve his short and medium throws. Otherwise, he’s a ‘bomber’–a high school QB that has gaudy stats because he plays on a team with great athletes and can sit back and throw bombs all game–and will end up like the Carver QB and the Peach QB from a few years ago.

If he works on his footwork and his short and medium range accuracy, then the sky is the limit. Until then, enough is enough….unless he’s gonna play Safety.

Van Brunt does not suck. He could not handle the speed of Camden, and could never get in his rhythm. He had a great year, he just ran into the best defense in the state. Where is Hoover and Grayson now? Those were the two best things to happen to CCHS this year. Camden routed the Eagles, but the Eagles still had a great year. I am a huge Camden fan, and I watched a team that peaked at the RIGHT time. GO CATS. Back to back 08 and 09. Looking for the 3 peat in 2010!

Bobby HOUSEMAN: I never said Northside would win in a blowout look at all the post, I said everyone was picking Camden in a blowout: I have to say it THEY were..right I am not making fun of any team that made it to the dome..all I can say is That QB from Wilcox Co…is the MAN…and the best game was of Course..Peach CO over Gainesville…what a hard way to lose for Gainesville..but they had to go for 2 since their kicking game was suspect all season..even their punter had trouble getting a decent punt off in the game…so if they had made it- it would have been a great call..and since they didn’t oh..well Peach CO controlled the game all night anyways so they deserved to win..CONGRATS to all the Champs..and all the runner ups…I hope to see everyone blogging on here next football season..Good Luck to all..and I hope you all have a blessed year..

Way to go Camden County. You are a true champion. I still think that the Camden and Lowndes game should have been for the championship. We sure missed Jorden Black and Tyler Hunter the last 3 games. NSWR needed to stay in aaaaa classification. I guess the only way they will will a championship is in aaaa..

Hey Cougfan88
Did you read my comments? Trash talking? I am giving a good NSWR the respect they deserve. They just got steamrolled by a better, faster, stronger team. Camden is the best in the state, hands down. It is not how you play in the beginning, it is how you finish. 138pts scored, 39 given up. NSWR is a great program, but tonight they were beaten.

Congrats to both programs, but Camden is the best 2 years running.

ok i can say one thing and one thing only about the game, NSWR did not show up, that must have been the 9th grade team or something, that was not NSWR football tonight, talk all the trash you want about the eagles they deserve it after clowning a championship football game like that, i mean really 14 points in the first three minute of play, for christ sake, NSWR deserves nothing more than a hard chewing of their backsides all the way home, that look like houston county that that played that game, everyone knows those boys play better ball than that, im not even disappointed im thinking of going across town!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To answer the question posted earlier, North Side is the last team to get their tales kicked in the big dome game..NOW, as for Region 1AAAAA and Camden not being able to compete, that has been answered too. Fact is Cats are back to Back AAAAA State Champions, doing it this year with a young team…I can hardly wait til next year to see them go back to back to back.

North Warner Robins had a great year. In the end when you play AAAA vs AAAAA teams it will usually look like this. Next year they will probably win AAAA.

Another great ending for Camden. 3-0 vs 1AAAAA in the playoffs!!

I guess we should have been saying 3AAAAA was the best all along.

Congrats to Camden for a well-played, well-coached game. There’s no question you deserve the Team of the Decade title. Great season, Northside. After losing 34 seniors last year, no one expected you to be here. No matter what, it’s still great to be a Northside Eagle. 121-14 this decade speaks for itself. And 67 of those wins were in AAAAA–including two state championship appearances. Don’t tell Northside they can’t play in AAAAA.

As for GO PACK GO. Shut up. You lost to Northside. You don’t have a leg to stand on.

Camden is not a young team. I believe they had 9 seniors on offense and 8 on defense. Yes they were inexperienced at the first of the year because they were loaded with seniors last year. So next year will be a reloading year too. Go CATS

Black&Blue,

First of all who is your team??? Second of all, what game were you watching??? Everybody on this blog has had nothing but rave reviews for the QB from Wilcox but you!!!! Sounds like you’re drinking some serious haterade dude!!!! I watched the whole game and the kid was very accurate with his throws and his balls were tight spirals…of course being a junior high school QB he needs some improvement, but he is waaaay ahead of the curve….young man is a flat out beast who can gun the football. He is more than a great athlete playing QB….kid is a QB period who can get it done. So chill out and stop slurping down that haterade so fast…for real, its making you look bad man!!!!!!!!
