What we are now discussing in detail is the advantage Camden has via the region. Even great programs have a down year and need to re-build. Camden just reload every year via Herron’s great ability to develop player depth in live game situation via the weak region.

beauford is in trouble; fitzgerald is playing a level higher than you guys, dispite their level of play it wont be enough, fitz will score so quick and our “D” is so strong and fast you guys will be stunned, I hope you guys have a safe trip both ways, it is the year of the canes!

In response to your earlier comment, Bradwell could so the same thing. Even with Liberty County High School being there, this task that Camden County is doing could be mirrored by Bradwell Institute.

sportsfan 31313 well i read that bradwell beat camden alot well i dont remember that not in my day at all we use to dominate tht region back in the day we one the region our first yr in it. camden has always had good programs just poor coaching if we had the coaches we they have now back in the 90′S we would of been winning state championships. anybody from camden knows that they dont have the atheletes they use to have. but im proud of my boys and enjoy watching them play

WAQ – I understand your point as well, but I also believe that if Camden was in a different region they still would be good and still make the playoffs. Camden has always had the talent but not the coaching staff they have now. Coaching and off season conditioning plays in an important role in developing young kids for a program and Coach Herron has manage to do that and win the trust in the kids and community.

To: A GHS Bear in Texas: Did you really play on that ‘78 team? I did; it would be nice to hear from some of those old teammates from ‘78!! It’s hard to listen to some of these bloggers when they start talking about their “dominating teams” and having that “winning tradition”!! Since 1976, I’m pretty sure Griffin has won a State Championship in EVERY sport played in H.S. Some of them DO have winning traditions, like Clark Central, Valdosta, Lowndes Co., Newnan & Marist to name a few. But you remember that Griffin never got respect from the ATL media. Re: Griffin wins a close one 42-10, and then, Griffin gets embarrassed 14-13! But, here we are, AGAIN, trying for another State Title!! BTW, this defense is WAY better than ours in ‘78, and we rocked!!

Honestly,Bufords should be in the AAAAA playoffs. If Fitz has as much confidence in themselves as other do, theyll play fine……and STILL get it handed to em’. GO WOLVES!

It’s wet and will continue to be throught out the game. I’m in Jacksonville, Fl. but a grad of Camden.
Do any of you guys remember back in the day when Camden was a force in AAA? We played Cook County, Fitzgerald, Waycross, Wayne Country and more, those were some go olde fashion football games. No complaints, just ballin baby….

Best game in the state tonight will be Sandy Creek vs. Griffin. Both teams have explosive offenses, great defenses, and good special teams. Both teams have multiple D1 prospects who have committed. Should be a GREAT matchup between two great teams. Whoever wins this one wins the state- no question.
