I believe after next Saturday you will have to refer to Camden as the dynasty of the 21st century!

the best player I saw last year was Bacon for that middle ga team. the best player I have seen this year so far is that #4 for the packers. I think they said he was region 1 player of the year. But I have to say that Andre Johnsen and Days are right up there. I believe Andre had close to 240 yards rushing tonight. that by the way is his second 200+ yard performance in the playoffs.

CougFan88: We can agree to disagree. I am 100% certain that you are inaccurate about points against a defense on turnovers like blocked punt, fumbles & interceptions deep in your own territory, etc. I am certain that Newnan’s first touchdown would NEVER be considered points against Northside’s defense.

Either way, Northside one EASILY! You can jump aounrd about points. At the end of the day, Newnan became the first AAAAA from outside of metro Atlanta to lose their on their own field in the playoffs. That is because Northside came to your field and we made it ours.

We had near losses against Valdosta, Lowndes County, Colquitt County, and Peachtree Ridge. Our Eagles are battle tested. We do not play a cupcake schedule. We physically DOMINATED Newnan. We were prepared and played very solid football. I hope you are happy about the points that Newnan scored. It is still girls’ basketball season. You can type until your fingers fall off. It is still girls’ basketball season at Newnan High School, just like Peachtree Ridge, just like Union Grove, just like all of the rest! :-)

mistermak, strange you list all those players and not even mention a QB that pulled a “Tebow” on a supposedly great Metro Atlanta team tonight and racked up about 145 yds. on 31 carries. I remind you that was a QB, not an RB. Is your bias showing? You would be well-qualified to work for those guys there at AJC (i.e. Carvell, Saye, and Holcomb) who consistently ignore 1-AAAAA.

And Like I said before I gave Northside Props…and you can keep trying to live out your glory years through these KIDS..I am sorry you have never done anything worth while in your life that you have to relive your high school days..through this football team..I served this Nation in the Military for 20 years and I am a manager with a large Railroad in the west..so I have a life that doesn’t rely on High School football..or as you say Girls Basketball..

Mistermak: I could have told you that Colquitt was not going to stop Camden County. The Packers were DOMINATED by Lowndes County who employs a similar offensive scheme. Colquitt County has a coach how really overhypes his program. They were forunate to play all metro Atlanta teams. They were the 3rd best team in the region. The chest thumping coming out of Moultrie over beating a team from Marietta, GA was borderline insane. Colquitt would lose to Lowndes County 10 out of 10 times. They would lose to our Eagles 10 out of 10 times. :-) They would lose to Camden County 10 out of 10 times. Contrary to the hype, the Packers have not arrived.

They deserve credit for having a great season. The truth is Stephenson was much better and should have been playing right now. The Jaguars have top talent and middle school level coaches. It is sad for them :-(

WRHS DEMONS city champs 09-10. Good luck Northside next week. It would be neat for both WR schools to have both 4A and 5A championships. Then maybe Conrad Nix will retire.

CougFan88: As I have told many disgruntled posters on this site before, we can all get together at the State Championships. We have been talking about this all season. I have every level of confidence in who I am. It is amazing that you guys turn to the pathetic chatter about what your life has become and ENR has nothing. I am not some clown walking around Dake Stadium looking for a memory, partner.

Anyone can scroll up this blog. You were the clown chiming about ENR. I was not even out of Drake Stadium and you were spending your life blogging about me. The truth is whether I blog or not, I am going to have my job in the city. You are going to have your job at the railroad (Norfolk Southern’s offices are just around the corner from our offices, by the way). You will have your memories about the railroad and your military services. I will have my memories working aborad, from playing college sports, from playing high school sports, from meeting two U.S. Presidents.

My biography, nor yours had anything to do with tonight’s game. You can direct your anger towards me. I find it hilarious. I would have been willing to come on this site and say good game Newnan and good luck during girls’ basketball season. With or without the AJC blog, with or without the “opinions” of ENR or CougFan88, Northside was going to beat Newnan and Northside was going to bring girls’ basketball season to your school a week early.

Accept it and move your managerial career forward at the railroad. :-) :-) :-) I can NOT believe that you actually brought your job and military service into the converation. I am from Warner Robins. Everyone is affiliated with teh Department of Defense. Shall I deliver you an internet cracker os a pat on the back. What does your job or 20 years of military service have to do with our Eagles laying the wood to the Newnan Coungars?? I am a little lost.

Mr. TNGADAWG You need to improve your commprehension skills. I was complimenting two players from 1AAAAA. I was not showing bias. I am a camden fan and alumni and if I was bias I would have said Johnson was the best player I had seen. but I still think Bacon from last years Eagles was the best back I have seen in HS for a while. He was literally putting our defense on their backs. that #4 from colquitt was just a super athlete. I think if he played more they might have won.

You are always a little lost ENR..you live for this football team and that is all you live for …that is all I am saying ..and Norfolk Southern is not who I work for..I work for a major railroad in the west..Norfolk Southern can’t compare..just to let you know..and I can’t believe you are so childish to bring up your Finance degree and then attack someone for bring up their life experiences..Finance doesn’t equal good grammar or good spelling..as I have had read your blogs a couple of times to understand since you can’t spell or type

Cougfan88: I hope you enjoy the girls’ basketball game in Newnan. Look Coach Pearson and the Lady Cougars need your support tomorrow afternoon for a home game against Tri-Cities. I hope you can come and support the blue and gold. Try to have a little more faith in your team. do not give up on the Lady Cougars as you did the Cougars football team at halftime.

Contrary to all of your military experience and time with the railroad, the game is in fact not over at halftime. Anything can happen. It is better for the girls if you and the Newnan faithful stay in the stands. Try to not leave in big numbers as you did against Northside at Drake Stadium with more than 6 minues on the clock.

Hang in there. You can do it!

ENR, I was reading through your posts tonight and saw your take on this year’s Warner Robins game and you are dead on. Robins could have easily made the quarter finals if they were in another region.

I saw you mentioned the 1989 game where we beat them 7-6 when they were #1 in the NATION! I was in the 7th grade then, and if I live to be 100 it will remain the greatest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Back then, and when I played, we HATED Warner Robins. And it started when we were little. Since HOCO has came on the scene I don’t know if the kids HATE each other like we used to.

I could care less about Norfolk Southern. If you are really in the railroad business you are aware that NS has a huge office just north of the intersection of Peachtree Street and 14th Street in Midtown. I have not and will not take the time to ask about what is the best railroad. I could honestly care less.

I you guys have a Director of SEC/Financial Reporting position open, let me know. Otherwise, I am concerned about high school football…not your job status or your military service. Veterans’ Day has passed. Tonight was Pay the Piper Day for Newnan HS. Tomorrow is Clean Out Your Locker Day at Newnan. Since you were not very much help when the Piper (Northside) came to town. Perhaps, you will be more help when they clean up the locker room and prepare to cheer on the girls’ basketball team.

Just don’t give up so easily next time, CougFan88. :-) You said the game was over at halftime. That is absolutely amazing, especially coming from a guy with 20 years of military service. I have never known military guys to just quit like that. You have girls’ basketball season to work on adjusting your attitudes. :-)

CougFan88: Are you really going to pretend that you were not mentioning ENR early tonight before I was even online? Seriously???? I did not tout my academics. You painted me like some lost athlete with no direction in life. I simply informed you that like many people I took AP Calculus at Northside HS and scored a 4 on the exam. I know how to add up points against a defense and I had 17. As I said, we can agree to disagree.

You are entitled to say what you would like. It is girls’ basketball season.

Mistermak: You can play the role of Captain Save-A-CougFan88. However, anyone who attended tonight’s football game passed by the Newnan gymnasium in route to the football stadium. Any idiot could see that tomorrow’s girls’ basketball game was posted. I do not know why it would be so challenging to see that the gym you walk past going to your seat has a game listed for the following day. That is not rocket science. Clown!

Northside (please drop the WR): I think the kids from Warner Robins and Houston County hate Northside now, just as we hated Warner Robins. I believe the kids hate the team with the most success. You know that people hate the NY Yankees most when the Yankees are winning.

I was a sophomore when Northside shocked Warner Robins. I can tell you that no one believed that we could beat that Warner Robins team. They were defending State Champions and ranked #1 in the nation from the first week of the season. It is one of the best memories of my life. It helped me believe that anything was possible in any situation.

It looks like we’re going to have to be Northside-Warner Robins for some time. Did you see the new region alignment. We are going to be in the same region as Northside-Columbus. They are not going to drop the Northside-Warner Robins. That is disappointing.

CougFan88: I played basketball in high school and college. I played tennis. I played football. I can honstly say that if I could have one more high school “sports” moment, it would not be on the football field. Sorry. Again, you have the wrong guy.

You were calling for me before I got to my car at Drake Stadium. Obviously, you feel bad for giving up on your team. I am certian you can relate to the Newnan players. Obviously, it is commonplace for the good people of Newnan to throw in the towel.

There is no way that any person could actually know without a shadow of doubt what was going to happen at halftime of a 20-14 game. Newnan came from behind against some darn good football teams. It is shocking that a person goes on record as saying that the top defense in the state would be unable to make the necessary adjustments to stop a kid who many Northside fans do not even want to start.

You did not know anything. You are again making things up as you go. Continue. This is getting more and more interesting. Maybe the Mistermak can help you with these TALL TALES!

I saw that. Two Northsides. It kills me because I hate that people identify us by adding the Warner Robins part. I remember that ‘89 game vividly. It was Friday the 13th and there was a full moon. Jeff Mead missed the extra point with less than a minute left and we all went nuts. Jay Hellwig had a hell of a game that night, and so did the tailback. I think his name was (is) Brian Upshaw. If you were a sophomore that year then I came up right after you graduated.
