Peach Co scored on a 65-yard Patrick Taylor-to-Lamar Zanders pass in the 1st, then Eastside tied it 7-7 in the 2nd on a 9-yard pass from Califf Carnes to Git Aiken. Peach’s Octavious Hall blocked a punt at the Peach 39 late in the half and LeBrandon Johnson returned it 50 yards to put Peach up 14-7 at the half.

I don’t disagree, Panther Pride. I thought with Griffin’s defense we should have made SC drive the ball every time. The failed onside kick seemingly put the play calling into panic mode and Griffin’s doing things offensively a lot diifferently than it might have otherwise. It looks eerily similar to a playoff game against Salem a few years back where a couple of questionable decisions took the steam right out of the team.
I’m not saying this to take any credit away from Sandy Creek because they’ve earned what they’ve gotten. Tonight they’ve been head and shoulders the better team.
