Inthatrenches, I would love to be at home next week but it don’t matter . We got the kind of game that we can take it on the road. You know who I want at the Dome.But we got to get there first.

Camden beat North Gwinnett with superior play offensive and defensive line play. I think I heard NG has two SEC commits on their O-line but you wouldn’t know it because Camden got pressure rushing only three-four or at most five every single down. Camden’s O-line did the same as its defensive line. North Gwinnett was putting 6 on the line and 9-10 in the box the whole 2nd half and Camden was still getting into the secondary on almost every carry.

Lioness, Newnan may not be “south Georgia” geographically, but, historically, they have been part of the “south Georgia” bracket in GHSA football.

Hawgwild. I took the loss in a humble fashion. Don’t be an arrogant a*#. I would like to root for your team in the next round, but not if you act like a prick as I’ll then hope you lose. We’ll have another shot next year. ’til then, we’ll go get another Lacrosse State championship in the spring. I know you don’t know that sport, so google it…it’s the fastest growing sport in America

South Georgia? I prefer Central Georgia, but if you gotta go North-South, then ya gotta go by the Gnat Line/Fall Line. So, anything south of Columbus-Macon-Augusta would be South Georgia. Population-wise, that line is likely a bit further north.

PEOPLE I KNOW YOU ARE NOT SUPRISE TO SEE NORTH GWINNETTI AND LASSITER GET SHUT DOWN. REGION 1-4AAAAA PLAYS DEFENSE AND REGION 5-8AAAAA THEY DON’T PLAY DEFENSE. I’VE BEEN SAYING THIS ALL SEASON, YES HUTSON MASON IS GOOD QUARTERBACK AND CJ BUT WHAT CAN THEY DO AGAINST A FAST AND ATHLETIC DEFENSE. YOU BRAG ABOUT BEATING PRATTVILLE AND YOU BRAG ABOUT AVERAGING 65 POINTS IN 2 PLAYOFF GAMES BUT TONIGHT YOU SAW TWO WELL COACH TEAM SHUT DOWN THE BEST OFFENSE IN GEORGIA. LIKE I SAID BEFORE TEAM THAT PLAY DEFENSE DON’T GIVE UP 35 AND 46 POINTS IN THE PLAYOFFS. GRAYSON AND PEACHTREE RIDGE ARE THE ONLY TWO TOP TEAMS FROM GWINNETTI THAT PLAYS DEFENSE.

Its so nice to have a 4 team tournament in 5-A without any Gwinnett chokers or Marietta chokers. Congrats Newnan. Thanks for getting the job done. Congrats Colquit, way to represent the region. Congrats Camden, and thank you for getting the job done and breaking Grayrams heart. Thanks NHS for also breaking Lioness 30097 heart. Lioness 30097 needs some quiet time. Stop acting like a certain running back from the University of Oregan – throwing punches after a loss. No crow on the menu here.

Cougar Dan…. two different teams than the 03′ version NSWR vs Newnan NSWR fans remember and will want the revenge but neither teams current players were on the field!!! Different game and could go the other way… Don’t chest bump and tout the last matchup but hope we win the toss!! They defend their turf well!!!

Hutson had a bad game but the kid is probably the best QB to play in this area in a long time. Hard to argue with his numbers this year:

He has 8 schlarship offers including from University of Virginia and also Central Michigan who has the #4 ranked QB in the country right now – Dan LeFevour.
He ran into a buzzsaw tonight – no doubt. Heck, even Peyton Manning through 6 INT’s in a game.

Just got in from the game and all I can do is tip my cap to sandy creek. The atmosphere at the Jackets nest was awesome but I must say that the TCC fan base has become very complacent….our crowd was great but rather quiet for a big game like this!!! TCC went up 17-10 midway the 3rd but still the crowd was rather subdued…that is mind blowing to me for real…why do you come to a ball game if you dont plan on cheering or standing up???
Now back to the game…no excuses from Jaybo….sandy creek was the better team…period. Our defense had not had the ball moved on them like this all season, but tonight the hose(not horse) Rajon Neal ran the ball down our throats….why didn’t georgia offer this kid…he’s headed to miss state and they are getting a good one. This kid is the truth…just an awesome running back!! SC had a huge offensive and defensive line and they were athletic. Again, they were just flat out better than us and I salute them. Great season for TCC as we were not expecting to even make the playoffs this year with such a young team. ‘Till next season everybody…

David Grantham, the Northside announcers noted that in the GHSA’s north-south scheme, Newnan has fallen in the south category “forever.” If that is the case, then this season’s AAAAA “Final Four” is a clean sweep for South Georgia.
I freely admit that at many points of the playoffs, the results could have been different (many games decided by single plays) so this doesn’t really mean much in the greater scheme of things. But it does seem to show that well-coached, dedicated South Georgia programs can excel even against Atlanta area schools with greater numbers. I’m speaking generally, I haven’t compared average daily attendences for tonight’s specific match-ups. But if numbers alone decided things, well, most of the state’s top 10 largest schools are in the Atlanta area.
Congratulations to all the teams tonight, on either side of the scoreboards. Just getting the kids away from the videogames and onto a field to play sports is the real victory.
Now… I feel like playing sports too. Where did I put the remote control to my “Wii”??

LHS I truly was not being arrogant…I simply hate to see any fan make excuses when they get beat…I never do…HS, college, or pro….I simply was pointing out that you said Lassiter GAVE Colquitt the game….FAR FROM TRUE…Colquitt dominated the game on BOTH sides of the ball….PERIOD….Lassiter GAVE Colquitt NOTHING! 8 teams in semis from Sth GA (Macon & south); 12 teams in semis from Nth GA
A lot of close games! If you come back & say that only 5A matters then you should reconsider insulting all the schools below 5A.

South georgia AAAAA schools outscored the Atlanta schools 101 to 34 tonight. All you have left is Newnan and the aren’t even metro Altanta. HAHAHAHAHA no Gwinnett County schools left. HAHAHAHA. You guys are going to have to pay off the GHSA to make a 6A (AAAAAA) so you can only play metro Atlanta school like you guys did in the late nineties by paying to have 5A (AAAAA) made. Only schools big enough to be in that division were Metro Atl schools. Parkview’s and Gwinnett County boosters bought their championships from the GHSA changing the divisions. How may championships have atlanta schools won since the south GA schools gained enought enrollment to play in AAAAA. NONE.
