Grayson and North Gwinnett both went down tonite? Newnan’s got some real D-1 talent this season so no surprise they could play with Grayson, but I’m sure NG wishes they could have this game back. I expected that if they played each other 10 times, NG would have won at least 3 out of the 10, and been a lot closer in the rest. I think, with all due respect to the Wildcats, Lowndes probably could have beaten Camden 6 times out of 10 – Lowndes really had the team this year when they were firing on all cylinders (as they were in 10 of their 12 games!) But this year’s Camden team seems to be lucky as well as good – probably a result of their respectable non-region schedule this year. Great move on Coach Herron’s part, and it’s paying off now.

Nothing personal…sure he is a great kid…but I was not at all impressed with the Mason kid from Lassiter….5 interceptions…I mean really.Lassiter’s offense scored exactly 3 points with Mason at the helm.
LHS you have been on here all week and have been classy…BUT come on…Lassiter GAVE Colquitt the game…I watched the game….Colquitt TOOK the game…BIG TIME!!

I don’t get it. I may be an idiot, but…If NSWR tried for a FG on 1st down in OT and missed – didn’t they still have 3 downs left to try and score? Why did it go to 2nd OT immediately after the miss?
Isn’t going for a FG just like throwing for the endzone on 1st down and missing the TD?

I think I called every matchup. I underestimated Peachtree Ridge but NHS comes out with a win. Lassiter and N. Gwinnett get destroyed. Grayson and Peachtree Ridge do what they do and lose win it counts. Both on Field goals attempts. Can anybody say choke. Good game Grayram. Good luck next year.

Gotta say it’s great to have 4 “south Georgia” teams in the 5A semi-finals. Yes, I have always considered Newnan and La Grange “south Georgia” adoptions. Basically, non-metro-Atlanta teams.

SWDPlayer – You can’t be serious about this “overage” player theory? I was at the game with you guys last week, and Clarke Central actually looked undersized next to your team. I’m sorry that things didn’t go your way, but, sometimes, you need to admit that either (a) the better team won or (b) the better team THAT NIGHT won. Congratulations Gladiators!

I was at the Gainesville/Cairo game tonight. Gainesville tried to give that game away every way possible. I just wanted to say that Cairo fans represented their team well, as did their excellent band.

Dang, another coin flip. Well, we’re 50% on those the past two seasons. Last time we went down there, NSWR got ’spanked’ 24-0. But, those were 2 different teams. We would love to have the Eagles up here and repeat the spanking!
