Wow. I see the same ole story Camden don’t play nobody. When are you whiners gonna pop the titty out your mouths and stop complaining. Some of you on here be on here every year. That let me know that you don’t have a life. Good game tonight by two great teams.

I was the center when Derrick Steagall played. He was a force. He would call one play to the right but would pull the ball and next thing you know he was racing down the left sideline. We should have won state two years in a row. Bradwell and Colquitt stopped us.
This why they play the games

I was going to say the same thing about Bass. Newnan never made much of a dent in play-offs. That region in the late 70’s had Newnan, Griffin, LaGrange, Morrow, and Fayette County when Will Forts was dominating games as a linebacker. Willie Gault and Freddie Gilbert were at Griffin, and Scott Woerner, a UGA legend, played at Jonesboro.

The Bradwell game shocked the state. The road trip killed it. It is a shame he should have played at the next level. Not sure how he made into to Tech or why he chose Tech at the time, but I would have loved to see him in some Red and Black at the Dome.

I believe the coin tosses are tomorrow morning, and I suspect they are conducted in the GHSA offices, with Principals or AD’s attending by phone or in person.
This might be slightly different than normal procedures because of the short week. I know that North offers season ticket holders first shot, but they have to buy tickets this weekend, so that the general public still has 3 days to buy tickets next week.
North had a much better chance against Lowndes in Suwanee than they might have against Camden in Kingsland, if Camden wins the coin toss. Camden is an awesome team and the early close losses only made them better. Any of these teams could win at this point although you have to give an edge to the home teams in every case except that North will have a tough time with Camden even if they win the coin toss.

I believe that Griffin is a team that threatens themselves the most. Only they can beat themselves. That TD was garbage points in a mercy rule game tonight. That D is something to behold. Sacks, INT’s, swarming tackling, lightning quickness AND speed…they have it all. The offense is a hybrid option/spread that has a lot of guys who’ve run it together for a while. And the tam is stocked with Jr. starters.

OK, I UNDERSTAND COACH GODFREY’S POINT ABOUT SENDING KIDS TO COLLEGE AND THIS IS AN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY, BUT SINCE I KNOW HOW MUCH MONEY COACHES MAKE( MORE THAN PRINCIPALS) THERE IS NO EXCUSE TO HAVE THE BEST ATHLETES ON THE FIELD AND NOT HAVE THEM PREPARED ENOUGH WIN AGAINST TEAMS THAT ARE JUST HAPPY TO BE IN THE PLAYOFFS. CLARKE CENTRAL IS IN THE THIRD ROUND?!!!!!

I”ve been saying all week this is not the same team that lost to Grayson. Oselarge didn’t I tell you, that if we played our game we would win and you did agree, yes i’m the guy that sits by you at the games. You really missed one tonight the defense stepped up tonight. Both teams had 2 turnovers, Lowndes had the ball on our side all game. And the defense stepped up. The running game came through at the end and We made three fourth down conversions. We drop a touchdown pass in the endzone for a touchdown. Coach Herron really coached a good game tonight, he tried to keep Lowndes offense on the sideline. The last drive was over 8 minutes. Lowndes fans and the team was awesome.

91 when Steagall was Junior we lost to Bradwell. We were ranked Number 4 in State. Our only loss was to Lagrange who will eventually win the Mythical National Championship. Lagrange beat us 20-14. No excuses for Bradwell Game. We were looking past them. They had an unreal QB. I played with him in All Star Game. The 92 team lost to Colquitt. Newnan was #2 in nation when they lost to Colquitt.

Cougar Lineman,
That QB was Rodney Hudson of Lagrange. I had a chance to see that championship game against Colquitt County. On a 4th down, he threw a pass with his body nearly lying flat on the ground to continue the drive that gave them the victory. He wound up at Miss State and played a little db and has not been heard of since.

Lowndes did a great job tonight. The fans from Lowndes had great sportmanship. Camden played their hearts out and came up with a big win. For all those that bash the Wildcats because of the region we play in can kiss my grits. The play-offs are what matters. Do I see another ring? I know one thing for sure, we are a whole lot better than when we played Grayson. Good luck to everyone. Rebuild or reload—-you tell me—Go Wildcats

The very poor performance of DeKalb teams tonight is a reflection of the mediocrity of the DeKalb school system. Dunwoody wasn’t expected to win tonight — the others should have had a shot or better.
It is time for parents across the county to demand better of the school system in every aspect.
Accountability begins at the top — start with Crawford Lewis.

they also had Walt Harris. He played at Miss State and then Chicago Bears. We had the biggest line in the state but they were quick. I went on to play in College but I have never been hit as hard as I was hit by Walt Harris. Rodney Hudson was awesome as well. We contained him but had stupid errors in the 1st half. They didn’t score in the 2nd half. We actually went ahead but the play was over turned when one our wide receivers line up off sides. Those were the times.

Cougar Lineman,
I played for Colquitt County when Valdosta was still winning National Championships. Went on to play at Auburn and I tell you that playing in the SEC is a whole lot different than HS football. There were not many superstars in the former AAAA classification but the ones that made it to the next level were quickly shown that there were about 84 other superstars on college rosters.
