Just got back from watching Pridge dispose of Brookwood–D is getting better each week.Hey Lowndes—-remember the 50 whatever to 17 loss Pridge was a part of a couple months ago. Well well–the Lions have a game next week —do the Vikings ???? Better to get thumped early and be playing in late November than to be at home watch.ing

Cannot get the results of the game at 10 pm due to failure to connect to data base. Is this going to get fixed? This also happened last Friday night. What is the sense of providing a way to get scores and it does not work.

I’ve been on this blog for the week. Nobody to my knowledge has been trashing Camden. I slightly favored Camden because of the home field, and knew that Lowndes isn’t the same on the road (Grayson last year). Camden does play in the weakest region imaginable, maybe in the history of Georgia football. Until the playoffs, there were only 5 victories outside of the region in 3-AAAAA this year, including Camden, and none over a Georgia AAAAA school either.

Good point EagleNation. I don’t think anyone could beat Lowndes in Valdosta. This year or last year. On the road they are a different team. The play well in the dome because they spend the night. It is always a LONG ride anywhere they go. 2.5 hours to Camden. 4.5 to Grayson or other Metro Atlanta schools. Their location makes it very difficult for them to win on the road.

I still don’t think Camden is all that great this year. I mean it is a rebuilding year and you always have the advantage at home in the playoffs. They are mediocre at best…………. OK, just getting your attention. Congrats to Camden County! You guys made me a believer in a season I really thought was a rebuild.

I think Fox is STILL about to recap all the scores, about 10 minutes later. Love the lying ‘teasers’ local news shows do. They will pump a story as “coming up next” through 30 minutes and three commercial breaks. Pack of liars.

Hey Slalom1—Imagine that, two schools same stadium similar circumstances!! 4th and goal from the 2, one goes for it and gets it, moves on to the quarters, the other doesnt and is sitting at home..Go figure!! lol

ENR, heard that Colquitt Co. coach took his team up to ATL a day early this week(went yesterday). Don’t know how he pulled it off with the school board but it apparently paid off against Stephenson.

Good game wolverines. I was expecting a tighter game but still yall are a good program and i think with O’Brian as your coach you can maintain a winning tradition from here on out. Camden better not get too excited about their win over Lowndes because they will be set for a huge letdown against NG.

GO PACK GO!!!!!!!!!!!! Great game…i dont know why Stephenson kept kicking it to our star receiver #4 but im glad they did. if they kicked the ball away from him 2 times then they probably would have easily won the game…but the lucky stars shined on my Hawgs tonight!!! 2 straight trips to metro ATL, 2 VICTORIES!!! Now a rematch with Lassiter…we beat them in a preseason scrimmage but im sure they are much better now. luckily for us, Propst knows Chip Lindsey better than any coach in the state.

good game Jaguars. you guys have some monsters on your team. that RB is something special

Being Real- If you would be proud playing next week knowing you got whipped two years in a row by Lowndes then PRidge’s football program is in bad shape! It would be hard holding that state championship trophy up with pride knowing I got whooped by 40 to Lowndes!

Stephenson got some questionable flag that stopped drives this game. I do believe a writer wrote Stephenson would have flags? I believe I saw a player run off the field in the fourth for Colquitt, no flag, the play stops. Did anyone else see this play??

Valdosta, if you get to hold up the trophy in this state then you earned it. I don’t care who you lost to during the year. GA Football crushes most in the country. Up here in VA they only cover HS football on one of 4 news channels every week during the playoffs or regular season. It is horrible!!

fact- i saw a Stephenson player slip down to one knee at his own 8 yard line on a kick return, get back up, and run it out to the 30…even the tv commentators acknowledge that he was down and got back up…quite frankly, considering the bad luck that my Packers have had with officials all season, i think they called a WONDERFUL game! better luck next time Stephenson. good season for the Jaguars.

Valdosta, ya right who cares if you lost in the regular season. if you can win in the playoffs thats all that matters. teams would hold it up with just as much pride whether they won every game or struggled to make it to the playoffs. going undefeated in the regular season is never the goal for good programs. they set their sights on the championship so heck ya they would be proud even if they got killed earlier in the season.

Typical Lowndes Talk

November 20th, 2009

It’d be hard holding the trophy up with pride because they got beat by Lowndes early in the season? Sounds like somebody’s sore Lowndes is already knocked out of the playoffs!

I think the Grayson playoff game last year showed us the character of Lowndes football. Enjoy the winter.

TNGADawg: Traveling early is the only way that a team from South Georgia has a prayer. You are not going to have 15-18 year old boys wake up for school, attend classes all day, and then get on a bus…travel for hours and beat a top tier program.

I have said this all season long. Of course, when I pointed it out with the Lowndes County posters, I became the worst person on earth. I do not believe that Northside travels to Camden and beats the Wildcats. No one is going to ride thre ours and beat Northside at the MAC. It will be a challenge to beat Grayson after a long trip. You name the program, they usually fall after long road trips.

Rush Propst knows this. I know this. It would not surprise me if Propst prepared more like a college program and traveled a day early. That is the only way you ahve a prayer.

TNG, I’m with you. However, apparently the Lassiter QB set a GA State passing record BEFORE this game was played, and the SG QB ain’t no slouch either. Nevertheless, I’m with you, looks like a basketball score.
