Newnan posters, you guys were playing a 4th seed from Region 1-AAAAA. We all have to show Newnan their due respect. However, beating your chest for a program that fired their coach in the middle of the season, is a little over the top. You guys should get your minds right for a good game against Martin Luther King.

The GHSA bracket page is down as well. Probably heavy usage. Man these sites that keep this type of stuff dont have a grasp on the demand for high school football in Georgia lol.

Come on Lowndes posters. Let’s remain focused upon the huge game at Camden County. Personally, I will be pulling for all of the teams in our region. Forget about chatter about Newnan. They are on the other side of the bracket. We need Colquitt County to beat Stephenson on the road. We need Lowndes to beat Camden County in Kingsland. Finally, we need Northside to beat Union Grove. Let’s focus on the Round of 16.

Did you forget that Lowndes beat that same Valdosta team like 55-15. One of the Valdosta TDs came with a few minutes left against 3rd string. Congrats, on the win Newnan, just not sure you are in a position to welcome Lowndes, Camden, or northside yet! We’ll see!

Not true, I sat down with Coach eldridge today at lunch. He is fine for now, but another season like this one and it could very well be it for him.

McEachern going down allowed Northside’s road to include at least 3 games at McConnell-Talbert should they take care of business against lower seeds. Of course, thats FAR from a guarantee. Sure is nice to be at home though.

to all those who bought into all that crap that region 1AAAAA would sweep. im thinking all region 1AAAAA will be out after the 3rd round. northside it sounded like they didnt play too well against a mediocre region 4 team. lowndes is in the bracket with NG-Woodstock and colquitt is in stephensons bracket.

Va Newnan: We all know that the Newnan program is strong. We also know that the Newnan program REFUSES to play anyone in their non-region games. Your region went 1-3 tonight because cupcakes get kicked around by programs from Region 1-AAAAA.
Until Newnan plays someone, let’s stop all of the chaos. Newnan won. Westlake lost. East Coweta lost. Chapel Hill lost. You are spending so much time creating a fictional scenario of Newnan playing Lowndes County. If you want to play someone from south of the Gnat line, I am sure that you can find someone to play you.
Region 1-AAAAA programs will be focused upon our Round of 16 games. You should do the same. Newnan’s non-region schedule is a borderline joke. Teams like Lowndes County, Northside-Warner Robins, Grayson, Camden County, and others play real competition. Teams like Newnan do anything possible to go 10-0 and lose in the playoff due to the fact that Newnan regularly dodges competition. Let’s see Newnan beat Martin Luther King.

BulldawgBite: We have heard all of your Northside hating all season long. Please, go on record right now and name the team that is going to beat Northside at McConnell-Talbert Stadium. You said that Northside will lose in the quarterfinals. To who?????? Brookwood???? Brookwood is going to get on a bus and travel from Gwinnett County to Warner Robins and beat Northside at McConnell-Talbert Stadium? Are you serious?
Either you are tired tonight, you were drinking at the North Gwinnett game, or you are taking recreational drugs. Seriously. Brookwood has a history of getting big lumps in their throats ar McConnell-Talbert.
Let me spell it out to you. Northside has our worst team in about five seasons. Nonetheless, we are still going to march towards another State Championship with a starting team made up of primarily sophomores and juniors. I do not know how to spell it out to you. Northside is not going to lose to a team that road a bus for two or three hours at McConnell-Talbert.
Name the team that you believe is going to stop Northside from reaching the semifinal game. Union Grove and their lack of discipline? Brookwood? Give me a break!!!

Oh Im with you on that one and would love it if we did get Valdosta’s coach. But I think we will still have him next year based on what he said today, unless he doesnt know something. I for one would like to grab up a coach like Thomberlin(Hope I spelled his name right) while he is in play for a new job.
it would be a good fit. He already knows all the teams and they all know him. From what I have heard he is great with the players as well.

ENR, brookwood will lose to ptree ridge if ridge plays their starting qb. luckily for northside. the NG players reaggrevated his already injured shoulder and gave him a high ankle sprain. the ridge has a history of playing well in the playoffs no matter who they play. there is no mystique for opposing teams in McConnell-Talbert. you build up northside in your head SO much dude. all of your “regular season streaks” and “south of the gnat line comments” have absolutely zero bearing on whether you will win in the playoffs. where your team is from or how you play at home in the regular season is unimportant at this stage of the game. and

McEachern’s offense was terrible!! Three picks and an enemic running game. Congrats to Brookwood Mom and “Her Boys”!! Excellent job of coaching by Brookwood!! Brookwood’s QB was outstanding! Brookwood’s defense did a great job as well, allowing only ten points to a team that averaged 40+ per game. McEachern’s defense kept them in the game, but the offense just could not get it done.

BulldawgBite- dont question the difficulty for opposing teams winning at McConnell-Talbert stadium. Whatever the reason, it just has been for the last decade or so. If you think otherwise, you simply dont know what you are talking about. Perfect at Mac? No. Guaranteed to win at the Mac? No. One of the toughest places to go in and get a W? Absolutely. Just ask all these Vikings fans.
