It is the official “Return Your Jersey” week at Chapel Hill High School. Northside is off and running. It has begun. Chapel Hill was three and out and Northside scores on our first drive.

Griffin’s hurting itself with penalties but a blocled punt led to a score. The Bears lead Harris County 14-0 with 10:31 left in the first half.

Valdosta 6 Newnan 7 Valdosta ran a kickoff back for a TD. Other than that Valdosta CAN’T move the ball on That Newnan D. So far a forced fumble and an interception, chalk it up to that defense.

Some sad news to report here. We’re posting photos from NW Whitfield-SW DeKalb and one that’s about to go up shows Southwest DeKalb senior Javon Evans (#57) being carted off the field by medical personnel after an apparent back injury during the opening minutes of the game. If anyone has any credible info on this, can you fill us in?
All our best to Javon Evans, his family and SW DeKalb.

Meanwhile in AAA, Peach County’s rolling, 18-0 on top of the mighty Spalding Jaguars with 2:01 left in the opening quarter.

There is word on the street that Brookwood is beating McEachern, 7-3, right now. Of course, if Brookwood is going to beat McEachern they are going to have to put up more than 21 points. The Indians score points.
