wildcat fan–”speaking negative about someone success”?? does that statment really make any sense? again i beg the question and please answer, WHY would i hate on a school that has been LESS successful than the one i represent..the ONLY thing i have said is that playing in that weak region keeps Camden players fresh for the playoffs, whereas other regions beat the crap out of each other..THAT HAS BEEN MY ONLY BASHING POINT WHEN IT COMES TO CAMDEN!!! if you took time to read my previous posts, I have also said on numerous occasions that what they did to newnan last year made me a believer. Saw camden in the dome and if they punt instead of going for it, they win….so again, please tell me where have i HATED on camden??? let me ask you another question, if say Camden played in 1-AAAAA this year, do they schedule Grayson and Prattville? Get my point??

No problem call me out, thats what teams with 5 of the last 6 State Championships suppose to do. Last 4 games are 2-2. Nothing wrong with good fun.

SGT CHRIS your point about Camden is really pointless or otherwise
Lowndes would have no championships. Unless you consider Region 1AAAAA
another region that doesn’t beat up on each other.

Also, the question would then beg what is Newnan’s excuse? They don’t exactly beat up on each other in that region either.

The fact is Camden has been the best team in the state and only team left standing at the end of 2 seasons. Doesn’t matter how they got there. They got there.

lol wildcar fan—-so youre saying i am hating on camden because they are successful..well to end this, ill leave you with this to ponder….When camden hits double digits in state football titles no matter what class, like mine has, then you come see me ok?? When one of those thousands of polls vote them Number one in the nation, at the END of the season, like mine has been, then you come see me ok?? have a good afternoon, GO CANES against VA today!!!!!

Honestly maybe not thats why they schedule those games. Yes they be fresh but what if the game comes down to the fourth quarter and the starters are tired, the legs are not used to going entire games, my point is it can also hurt you as well, I truly understand your point my point is we can do nothing about it. We are damed if we do and damed if we dont. Thes kids can compete and win in any region, not saying by a long shot that we will win the region every year, but for sure a major force every single year. You sound like a good guy, its just seems you have a problem with Camden and yes i did read your post last year. Its all in fun i know but i’m a former player, and bloggers make it seems if it was’nt for the week region we could not compete. Call the GHSA and petition for them to change the rules. Camden did petition the GFHSA TO MOVE INTO REGION 1AAAAA, travel rules during weekly events was the reason, not cost like you once said,

I posted last night, but I do not think I made my point clear…and NHS 1AAAAA champs your response and explanation was TOTALLY wrong!

With appx. 3 minutes left in the first half Colquitt county had the ball inside NHS 20 yard line and it was 3rd and 1 for a first down….after the 3rd down play there was a measurement and the pack was the length of the football short…..AT WHICH THE OFFICIALS MOTIONED FIRST AND 10 NORTHSIDE…DENYING THE PACKERS WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THEIR FOURTH DOWN PLAY! IF COLQUITT COUNTY PICKS UP THE FIRST DOWN AND SCORES A TD OR EVEN KICKS A FG…..THE GAME WOULD HAVE BEEN A TOTALLY DIFFERENT OUTCOME!!! PERIOD!

Not saying colquitt would have won….BUT i am saying any sane and logical football fan HAS to admit it sure as heck could have been the difference in winning and losing!

anyway it is done….1AAAAA is by far the best AAAAA region in the state and the playoffs will prove thus! Warner robins are better than 2/3 of the 5A teams headed to playoffs and they will be sitting at home!

IMO who will be moving on to Round 2 in AAAAA

Camden
Lowndes
McEachern
Peachtree Ridge
Newnan (but they better be careful)
MLK/Union Grove – Predicition MLK
Grayson
Roswell (Had to think on that one a little).
North Gwinnett
Woodstock
Northside WR
Union Grove/MLk my pick UG
Lassiter
South Gwinnett
Stephenson
Colquit County

Next Round
Lowndes
McEachern
Newnan
Grayson
North Gwinnett
Northside WR
Lassiter/South Gwinnett is a tough one. Take Lassiter with Home Field.
Stephenson/Colquit is a tough one. Take Stephenson with Home Field.

Next Round
Lowndes/McEachern Home field will not matter on this one…Lowndes
Newnan/Grayson whoever wins the coin toss for home field advantage.
North Gwinnett/Northside whoever wins the coin toss for home field.
Lassiter/Stephenson home field will not matter on this one..Stephenson

Championship Game
Lowndes vs. North Gwinnett/Northside will beat Stephenson (Home Field not important.

Champs
Lowndes

Yea I’m a homer, but if I didn’t think they were the best team in the state I wouldn’t pick em.

Besides you will not beat Lowndes in the Dome, so the best chance of gettin em will be before they ever get there.
Newnan/Grayson will have the best chance of taking Lowndes down.
Actually Newnan, because Lowndes owes Grayson.

wildcat fan.. how was my statement hating? I just stated that I think Lowndes will “whip” Camden on your home field. I could be wrong.. I just dont think so. I dont believe it will be a blowout. But I think the Lowndes Offensive and Defensive lines will be too much for your wildcats. I also believe there is a good chance you will see 3 1-AAAAA teams in the semi-finals. Would like to see Valdosta there to make the 4th, but their draw is pretty brutal.

You heard it hear first. I believe Lownded, NSWR and Colquitt Co. all advance to semi finals. Then Lowndes vs Coin Toss for NSWR and Colquitt Co. for AAAAA championship

Valdosta might surprise just to give their outbound coach a boost.

Yo.. i agree with most of your predictions but I dont think Stephenson has the backside to deal with Colquitt Co. Neither does Lassiter. Panzy teams with panzy schedules. Colquitt Co is for real and I guarantee neither Lowndes nor NSWR is looking forward to playing them again.

I think Northside will pretty much coast and then handle North Gwinett they did not impress against a mediocre PRHS

Good call, Suwanee 0wnz. Bill Ballard and his staff beat Peachtree Ridge last night in front of Tennessee and Alabama scouts, I feel for the squad. Really I do. 0-5 on 4th downs, three of those times were at the goal line. The outcome of this game should have been much different. Biggest mistake was the continuous use of the running game. You’re playing against the most solid defense in the state, come on!! They were predictable just about every time. I haven’t seen Nick Lombardo have the opportunity to use his arm much this season, surely NG has been watching tape Coach Ballard! Those qb keepers will work against the likes of North Forsyth and Duluth, NOT North Gwinnett. I hope Bill Ballard slept real hard on this one. No cupcake teams down the line, they’ve got to run different play options if they’re going to venture back to the Dome. One thing working in their favor, P’Ridge was a 2-loss team when they went into the Dome to face Camden. They’ve got it in em, let’s just hope their coaches don’t screw it up for them.

Congrats to the Northside Eagles Region 1 AAAAA champions , Shaq ,C Vick ,Tebow, Delouise, B. Brown, Cannonball Jones,Brison and to the rest of the Eagles great regular season ,and to the rest of region 1 congrats as well …..Great region play , I’m almost fully gray after following the Eagles this year ,cardiac kids they are!…….I think every region 1 playoff team in the region is ready for the playoffs, the pads were poppin in the region all season long ,hadn’t seen good hitting football like this year in a while……I am for sure Colquitt is ready for the playoffs, good team ,great effort ,the Packers never quit ,Quin Roberson is the truth , 200 plus total yards alone against the Eagles ,the kid does it all for the Pack……….Bad call by the Refs , killed the Packs momentum ,all of 10,000 plus at the Mac knew it was 3rd down except for 3 or 4 guys in stripped shirts. Still no Excuse for Propst to make a fool of himself in the middle of the field in front of thousands…….

Propst in the “REAL DEAL”! The man can coach and an unbelievable motivator…anyone that doesnt believe that….just wait!

“Make a fool of himself”? To who…the Northside fans….I can promise you Rush Probst does not care for one nano second what ANYONE in or near Warner robins thinks of him! rightly so….the man was MAD…..FIGHTING MAD!!! Those kida worked, and shed blood, sweat and tears for 10 months to get to where they were last night…Probst was simply going to war for his team and players…the man has passion…and they were ROBBED of what was rightfully theirs….IF THAT IS MAKING A FOOL OUT OF HIMSELF…..THEN I WANT SUCH A FOOL FOR MY HEAD COACH!

Greetings UG,

It’s okay…. No excuses….. Camden County beat the day lights out of Bradwell Institute. Bradwell Institute did score first in the quarter and even the place Kicker could not get the PAT….. It was short lived for Bradwell Institute with that lead. The substitutions came in, and it was all over from there. They got their %#@ Kicked. Camden County had a lot of different offensive looks besides running the Wing T Offense. Camden County is down but let me tell you, they are still a very good football team.

Bradwell Institute will now enter the playoff post season as the number four seed.( Heck, in my opinion I’d rather them stay home, and regroup for next year) They will travel to Stone Mountain to pay against a very good Stephenson football team where the results will be one and done. I have so much to say about this but I will reserve my comments until after the season is completely over.

Congratulation goes out to Camden County.

Greetings Yo,

That is pretty good stuff. But Lassiter still doesnt have me convinced yet.

As far as MLK / Union Grove goes. M L King players are small as compared to Union Grove. The Key to this win will have to be a lot of speed. I think Union Grove will pull this one out this year.

OldDawg ……… Propst had every right to be upset, but Come on man , you didn’t get to be an oldDawg being a fool , the man ran out on the field after a Packer defender picked off Tebow and started waving his visor around at the Eagles bench and home stands ,his own bench had to coax him off the field….The only reason he didn’t get booted out of the game was because of Nix and the Refs knew that they blew the call….You know that Georgia ball is conservative compared to other States , I think he was having Hoover flashbacks or something……He’s a great coach , I love the Packs offense , but he won;t get away with antics like that .

Sportfan I’m not convinced of Lassiter either. Their first round opponent is North Fosyth (Region 7 and 4 Seed) and after that I was at a dilemna with South Gwinnett. So I just went with Home Field and Lassiter.

Everyone agrees that the refs blew it big time, but a grown man in a position of leadership over high school kids is supposed to be able to control himself. Propst has proven on at least two occasions that he can’t (he was ejected in last year’s Northside game in Moultrie). I don’t doubt his coaching ability, but there should be more to it than just football. I don’t think it’s a secret that he also had serious problems in Alabama. I have the utmost respect for the Colquitt team, fans, and the city of Moultrie, but zero respect for Rush Propst.

Yo……..I don’t really know what the Refs were thinking ,I think what happened is that the chain gang had 4th down on the chains and maybe the Refs lost track and were working off the chain ,which is wrong ……..I think they knew they were wrong but couldn’t back track…….I think they gave Colquitt a couple generous spots of the ball later on during the game to try and make up for the mistake…….Propst probably will make a protest and he should ……..Colquitt was driving and the bad call gave the Northside defense time to regroup ,because that no huddle was kicking them in the butt on that drive,.Northside was given the ball and shortly after Tebow threw an interception and the Colquitt DB returned it to nearly the spot where the packers were robbed , At the Northside 31 I think ,but Northside threw a different look on defense at the Pack,.. and the Pack had to settle on a field goal…….It really turned out to be really a free time out and much need rest for the Eagle defense,

SportsFan and everyone else I can truly understand how a Coach can lose it during the heat of the moment during a game. I officiate basketball and I’ve heard it all from the Coaches, mostly they just want to be heard and get their point across. There comes a point when a Coach can cross the line, I wasn’t at the game so I can only go by what has been written on here of what happen. SportsFan, were you at the Bradwell game last night? Man it turned cold very quick last night. The QB for Bradwell was very quick and they had some very big players, number 56 comes to mind. YO and VikingFan don’t make your reservations to quick to come to Kingsland, they are in the perfect setup game to get beat by Newton. Everyone expects them to walk into the second round and face the Vikings (so do I) but if they’re not careful they could be one and done just like it almost happen last year after the big game against NSWR when they almost lost to Woodstock. With that said, good luck to all the teams who made the playoffs and GO WildCats

olesarge,

Yes I was there. Wilson Brown is quick on his feet. But those guys are young players and are injured. You can tell, but they were playing with their heart. The good thing is that they will be back next year, and with the experience they will get this year from playing Camden County, and playing against Stephenson, they will definitely will be a force to be reckoned with next season.

Camden County has an average quarter back that can execute very well in the Wing T Offense. # 32 Ean Days is a very good running back and he is very fast. They also use him on special teams, ie kick off returns and punt returns. They also have running back # 13 Andre Johnson who is just as good as Ean Days. Others to watch out for is defensive back #27 Steven Murphy who can really fast and he can really hit. (He hits like a Ronnie Lott) Also, you have # 90 Tight End, & Defensive End player Derrick ( “Steak”) Saulsberry whom I know will be a Division 1 prospect. Camden County will be doing a lot of substituting in and out of players.
Newton County will definitely have their hands full. I’m telling you that they probably don’t know what they are in for. “THEY HAD BETTER EAT THEIR WHEATIES”!!!!!! :-)

Yo, Reeze, AVikingFan,

Question for you. Region 3-AAAAA Jenkins of Savannah and Bradwell Institute are tied in the Region with a 4-3 Region Record. However; Bradwell Institute has a 6-4 overall record and Jenkins has a 4-6 overall record. Jenkins beat Bradwell Institute in the regular season. Does Jenkins get the number three seed and Bradwell Institute get the number four seed because Jenkins beat Bradwell in the region game, or does Bradwell Institute get the number three seed, and Jenkins get the number four seed because Bradwell has the better overall record?

Anyone out there can tell me?

Camden County not only runs the Wing T offense, but Coach Herron does very well showing different offensive looks. They can and will confuse your defense with those looks. (schemes)
