Georgia High School Football Daily Spotlight: Grayson falls to No. 11 in national ranking
RivalsHigh 100, the national rankings that elevated Grayson to No. 2 in the country last week, has had a change of heart. The Rams are now No. 11, with the reasoning being that Grayson’s schedule isn’t shaping up to be that strong in the regular season.
Meanwhile, Colquitt County has shot into the top 100 at No. 66 with an 8-1 record. Northside of Warner Robins has been ejected from the national rankings.
Here’s a look at how Georgia teams are doing in the seven national rankings:

I CANT BELIEVE IT,..Dont tell me to stop talking about the past! I know its (2009)…but COMMON SENSE should tell you that ” if it were not for the past …there would be no present”! Now back to what I was saying…LOWDNES deserves their ranking, they are ALWAYS in the running each and every year. GRAYSON is the one who hasnt done anything yet….but get all of the glory. WIN -A- CHAMPIONSHIP first,…then again and again…then maybe you can be in the same conversation as LOWDNES…this year and so on! DO SOMETHING FIRST…and EARN your ranking!
Stop being jealous and give LOWDNES their credit do!

Yes,
John Stewart was Class AAAA Back of the year, and he went to Auburn. Bradwell Institute lost to Warner Robins in the 2nd round or just before the South Georgia Championship game. Something like that. Correct me if I am wrong.

to GOOBER, man you are right on the money. Every one involved works, heck we have to give the refs thair props also. HS football season is the best time of the year, every one of us on these bloggs would be lost if we dident have this to talk about., So right on man thanks a million times for all the hard work that goes in to soooooo, many coaches, atheleates, refs & people who sell at the consession . Thanks for the best 5 months of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was the (Semi Finals) South Georgia Championship game in which they lost to Warner Robins, who went on to win the State.

i guess you guys are right, since lowndes has won multiple titles in the past, we should just crown them the best team in georgia. regardless of their record THIS YEAR. rankings aren’t based on history moron. who even cares about national rankings? its not like we’ll be going to the rose bowl or something. everyone out here knows that were not #2 in the nation, we’d get slaughtered by st. thomas aquinas. quit making grayson out to be some overrated cinderella team, we’re the best team in georgia right now, but not the nation.

Oh come on people. Camden wouldn’t have been champs if Grayson hadn’t cheated against Lowndes last season. Lowndes is king and NSWR is right up there with them. We all know Grayson can’t win without cheating so I don’t understand why they are nationally ranked at all. Region 1-AAAAA is where REAL football is at and always will be. Atlanta area teams just need to step aside.

Amazing, K-MAN wants to compare a 40+ year or program to a ten year old program. How did y’all do in your first ten years? Grayson has come a long way in those ten years. It is tough starting a program from scratch. That is want I find amazing about several of the Gwinnett teams – Grayson, PRidge, etc – that they are young programs and are having a lot of success!
Lowdes09 – Do you have any idea how a statement like “We all know Grayson can’t win without cheating so I don’t understand why they are nationally ranked at all” makes you look? Talk about sour grapes! Quit living in the past (with woefully inaccurate memories no less) and join today! Sheesh! You lost. Get over it. It is not the end of world. I have heard from too many other Lowndes posters to believe that is a common belief. They have moved on to this year to Lowndes’ accomplishments, why don’t you?
