Hey "Bear Backer" I know some of the comments on here can really get under your skin and definitely mines too, but I am going to really miss all this craziness when the season is finally over. Good luck to Griffin in the playoffs.

Exactly stop trying to dog Camden for losing 2 and praising La whoever. La whoever lost just like Camden did is still ranked in AAA. therfore if you want to talk trash about them then you might as well say the same about La whoever.
Who cares if I posted stuff before. You don't own this site. And not I am not from Camden and never lived there.
So it took you 24 years to reach Sgt.

To blu eagle - most of the schools that have gone to CoachComm or other systems coaches have been quite aware of these tools for quieter some time. They delay has been costs between $12K to $16k plus min. for putting the systems in.

And unlike South GA and some other areas in the state the budgets are tightly controlled. Examples are coaches’ supplements in some areas are basically unlimited and thus the TD Booster Clubs can do whatever they please (large bonuses, cars, homes etc...). In Fulton County for example it is tightly controlled to exact limits that have to be processed through the school system.

To AVikingFan -- Roswell put in the CoachComm system in 2008 (the same system that most all of the D1 Teams use)and it does excactly what you are stating (and more) that region 1AAAAA has that no one else has. Also note that many other schools in the state outside of region 1AAAAA have this system currently or in process of doing so as well.

Hey A Viking Fan, thanks for the info on the software that we use now to break down teams, very interesting, I wonder how these high schools
learned about it initially, or if they tapped into the new technology?

WHAT IS LAGRANGE RANKED? ARE THEY UNDEFEATED?

They are #7 according to coaches poll. They also lost 2 games which were not against nationally rank teams. Their record is no better than Camden. I would also argue they played a weaker schedule than Camden.

If you heard SGT Chris Talk you would assume they were the greatest since sliced bread. Just to clear it up I am not from south Georgia. The county I live in has more than one school. I just get tired of reading one person run his mouth like he is Bear Bryant.

VikingDad- I'm alive and well. No 3 week no show for me. I am eating my crow.. Lol! I thought I would die, then I felt better by remembering that we beat Lowndes! Lol. That was a crazy game and goes to show those doubters that region 1-AAAAA is the little SEC. Lol.. It is ok. We will bounce back.. This is a tough region and you never know what may happen under those lights on Friday night! I still support our young Eagles.. And unless WR gets a miracle, no playoffs for them.. I got to find my strength from somewhere. All smiles here. =)

Just a statistical side bar, I noticed some statistics on region 6AAAAA that Alpharetta has impressive offensive numbers mostly from passing yards. Roswell total offensive yards leads the Region but are mostly based on rushing yards (lassiter numbers were not available). Despite great quarterback play, you must have a strong ground game to be successful in the playoffs. You need good receivers, but you must have a powerful running game and strong defense. This is my primary reason for picking Roswell over Lassiter on friday. Hutson Mason will get his number, but I believe ball control offense will win for roswell. Roswell has a very good defense; this should be enough for a close win at Lassitter.

6AAAA seems like you are the one who is scared, always chirping in like a scorned girlie about Griffin. Don't be so jealous. Ha. BEARS scared of SWD? What a sorry excuse for a joke. Go try that scared crap somewhere else cause it "sho-nuff" don't fly here. Just because you have a good thing going does not mean it will last, (same goes for us too so don't whine about it) and oh, by the way...have you seen YOUR side of the bracket? North Clayton is tough, and Thomas Co. Central? If the Eagles dont get ya, the Jackets will..Better believe that. We have a tough game on our hands this week against a staunch Alcovy team. You may even have to face them. You just better worry about Stone Mountain, and the MIGHTY GRIFFIN BEARS will maintain OUR spot on TOP of the Mountain!

hey Northside will win on Friday night vs packers !! Hope you really do cause if you lose you will not have a rematch with Lowndes unless you get to the finals, but it will be the hard way and I will then doubt you being there. Lots of road trips away from THE MAC.

Sgt Chris lets just say there are 5A teams and then there are 5A team imposters. But you make the same point I made a few weeks ago, except at the time I was pointing out the ferocious schedule Newnan has to go up against.

Slalom....glad you finally see things my way. It has taken 2 years my man but you are a good student and deserve an A+.

Northside Observer - ya'll have a big one this week don't you? When the season started I did not see this game being as big as it is. Colquitt has two linebackers -twin brothers - who transferred from Alabama last summer. One of'em is the real deal. They turned 19 after May 1st of this past school year, so they are eligible. But in Alabama they were too old to play this year. H-mmmm Coach Propst came from Alabama too, didn't he? I'm sure that's a coincidence

NS and Colquitt are both good teams. Each has a good RB. NS's may be stronger, but Colquitt's is faster. Wish I could see your game, but of course, I'll be at the Lowndes vs Warner Robins game and watch them duke it out. Hope you understand we'll be pulling for Colquitt.

La Grange Fans, Please tell the world what I know already---Carver High of Columbus is the biggest team I have seen in a long time. Even their D-backs are all over 6ft tall. NSWR was small compared to them and we do have a good size team. Glad we won but I am also glad we don't have play them again. Anyone that beats has it going on.

Roswellfan - I've said for three years the best team we played in 2007 was Roswell. They were much better than NG that year. At least that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Any Coffee County Trojan fans on the blog? We never hear from any Kell fans, or Westlake, Chapel Hill, or Dakula fans. Whats up with that? Has anybody heard if Parkview's QB is back yet, and well? He had an outstanding game against Grayson before he got hurt. Also, I can't believe how quiet the Lassiter folks are even though they've got that great QB and offense.

Just think folks, 96 hours from now we'll be having some FUN! Very few Fridays have as many big important games as we have this week. Come on EP guys, count it down!

LIke I told my stepfather, that entire officiating crew were Carver graduates lol..and like you said, the calls didn't start until we went up 7-0..but on the other hand Carver did what they had to do. My question is, where in the heck was Josh Manning on offense?? Was he hurt or someting? and where in the heck was the passing game??? Its like the offense (play calling) was stuck in a state of deja vu....watching the same running plays over and over... but i expect a shoot out friday night though...gonna be one of the better LaGrange/Troup games in recent memory.

Hornet Dave, you may recall that while Dustin tallefero went to Samford, the best wr on that team was Garret Embry who now plays for Oregon; also the linebacker on that squad (Obela Okapu) is now playing for North Carolina. That was a very good team. This years team has several very good skill players; 2-3 running backs are very good especially Martez Sumler (hurt fot walton game) and Duval Smith and wr Chris Boyd is also very good and committed to vanderbilt. THe defense is very solid but not spectacular. If they beat lassitter and I believe that they will, it will be due to defense; conmtrolling the clock with a strong run game, and timely passes to its D1 wide reciever. The backup qb is very good. I believe the roswell coaches have been working on a defensive scheme for lassitter in anticipation of this region title match. First & 10 Hornets !!!!

The Stone Mountain-SWD game will be interesting because SWD has wrapped up the region championship this game is basically meaningless to them. Stone Mountain is fighting for the last playoff spot and SWD needs to play their starters as little as possible to avoid any senseless injuries.

Hornet Dave - My son's a big Blazer fan. I'll ask him tomorrow if he knows a Dupart from Roswell. Good luck Friday. Our only experiece with Lassiter has been in baseball and girls softball. I WOULD like to see that passer they have. Bet he's no better than Tamburo or yours was from 07. I hear ya'll have a great kicker. I predict that will be the difference this week.

There seems to be alot of testorone in here. I enjoy reading these blogs. You all need to be applauded for your knowledge and knowing your football. No matter what region you cheer for or what team you like, this will be settled on the field.. And no matter what is said after the winner and losers.. there will be excuses like the ref's cheated, that team wasn't better than us, and my favorite one is what kind of play was that, it was the coaches fault.. Anyway I am waiting on the playoffs to start see what region 2 5A does. Especially MLK & Stephenson.
To all the teams good luck because there are some interesting matchups. Tell your Team to bring there A game because there's No CRYING IN FOOTBALL!!

SGT CHRIS, Appreciate you taking the blunt of all the anti-Granger hype here.
The arrogance of many AAAAA posters simply make me want to puke. Even with an enrollment of approx 1300 the Grangers would undoubtedly fair well in AAAAA. What many AAAAA fans fail to realize is that to appreciate the accomplishments of smaller schools, consider their rosters then take away the percentage of players that is proportionate to their roster advantage.
As an example, take Lowndes Enrollment: 2740. LaGrange Enrollment 1300. Advantage Lowndes by 53%. Take away 53% of the Lowndes players class by class then play the Grangers. Who do you think would win? Same thing goes for ALL of the schools who compete in non-AAAAA competition. To really find out who is good, simply level the playing field and let'em go at it. Speaking of a level playing field, did you miss the LG vs. Carver game? Hope so. HUGE kudos to the home grown Columbus officials. The game turned out about the way I expected. Carver's linemen were HUGE. But after the Grangers shredded the Carver defense on their first drive of the game, it became obvious to me that the officials were even bigger. It was a disgrace to GHS football.

Never thought I would hear you Viking posters saying "Go Packers", but anyway great to hear. I just can't say the same for you guys this week, being that a Colquitt win and a WR win over the Vikings would give the Pack the region title. We all know that the chance of that happening is very slim and I will not even allow myself to entertain the notion. I said it before that any team in this region that finishes 1-3 can and is good enough to win the state title. It would be great to see 2 teams from this region playing for the state title.
Hey anyone heard from EagleforLife lately?

I was recently at Newton County high school and there was a Football practice taking place. The kids were really small. Is there another field somewhere at NCHS where the varsity practices? The field i was watching has lights and is behind the baseball field.

HFA, our QB from 07 (Dustin Taliaferro) was SoCon freshman of the year last year at Samford. I think he just got benched, however. From that team I think there was a lineman who went to Valdosta State - I'm not sure if he plays. I believe his name was Dupart, if you're a Blazer fan.

Region 1-AAAAA teams have a computer software program to disect game films we call ODK for Offense, Defense, and Kicking. Within minutes of a game ending, Northside and Lowndes have already swapped game films on the computer. Other region teams still have to drive the next day and physically hand next week's opponent a game film (CD). We can make as many copies as we want, in just minutes.

The software breaks down a game film in seconds, about any way you want it too. By offensive plays for each team, or by defensive plays, by down and distance, by quarter, by field position, or by player. Within minutes of a game ending each position coach has a CD of his players for every play, to use in grading his players. You can separate plays by down, field position, or a combo of that. If you get several films on a team, you can categorize the plays a team usually runs for different downs and field positions. (if you're fortunate enough to get a CD for every game a team plays, that's great. It can be done.) ODK will separate plays by pass plays, or running plays, or by a certain player. I understand Northside had the technology 1st, and shared it with us, then with other region teams. Most don't use it to the extent Northside and Lowndes does. It really is nice when a college coach or scout comes by and wants a film on a certain player. We can give him a cd for every play that player has been in on for the whole year, or even in past years. It just takes seconds.

But players still have to block and tackle, kick and throw. Technology is great and it helps coaches, but the bottom line is the players still have to perform, not miss blocks, don't cause penalties, make good passes, catches, and keep their cool when things don't go their way. And for the most part they are only 15-16-17 or 18 years old. (Except the two 19 year old linebackers at Colquitt who transferred from Alabama because they were too old under Alabama rules and had used up their eligibility there. And that's another, but very true story)

And that's my report on ODK.

Region2-5AAAAA,

I will give you Martin Luther King, Union Grove, and Stephenson. But not Newton County. Like I said before, If Bardwell Institute didn't have all of those injured players, Newton County would not even beat Bradwell Institute. I consider Newton County a bottom Rung team in your Region just like the Weak Savannah teams.

I will promise you that Newton County will not beat Camden County. By the way, what team are you talking about when stating that Newton County took you all into overtime? Are you still in High School?

With all due respect, I am from South Georgia and I have only seen Camden in the Dome but yes I have seen the Best Statesboro teams and Valdosta teams and warner robins and so on. Question have you seen Newton County or anyone from our region play? Having you seen Cambden in person this year against anyone but those weak savannah schools have you seen any team in our region, It would not suprise me if we swept your region. You think that we are the only ones who could give Camden a run for their money and without replaying all the excuses, Newton took us to overtime, they have held two top ten teams to under 20 points. All i am saying is this we have four good teams that can play with a lot of regions in this state its just that we have a better chance of sweeping yours!!

I'm reading the comments about Newton H/S guy's let me tell you they are for real. They gave us everything we could handle. The scary part most of their team are Juniors and Sophmores. I was told the Principal gave the coach a mandate compete or be fired. I guess you can say they are competing. Camden 42 Newton 07

Anthony, anytime teams go 9-0 they are special. I don't care which region you're in. Everybody has players who lift weights, throw and catch passes, block and tackle. Everybody has coaches who watch film (except Lowndes and Northside takes that to a new level- that will be the subject of a whole separate post) There are very few 9-0 teams.

WARDAWG - Your predicted finishes as shown on your 3:32 pm post today are all pretty good. With a few exceptions. Region 1, 4th place will be Valdosta if they beat Houston County who is winless in the region, and if Lowndes beats Warner Robins at Lowndes (I'd bet the "Lagrange" on that - the farm), and Region 5 4th place could very well be Marietta

Heck Sgt Chris,

Even I believe that LaGrange will not lose anymore game in the regular season. That's saying, Troup County will not beat LaGrange. Where is your confidence? Even I believe that. That is why I am already saying that LaGrange will face Liberty County at their Stadium. Do LaGrange Stadium have a Nick name? If not, how about the Corn Field.... LOL :-) :-) :-) :-)

Greetings Region2-5AAAAA,

Honestly speaking, I don't believe that Newton County could beat Bradwell Institute if Bradwell Institute had all of their players back. Bradwell Institute had 12 starters injured I which five are out for the season, yet we still made the playoff. Bradwell Institute had made the playoffs I believe the last eight years, and went to 2nd Round of the playoff last year after beating Region 4-AAAAA East Coweta.

Greetings Region2-5AAAAA,

Everyone is talking about Camden County being a winner in the first round is a given. They just don't believe that Newton County will come close to contending with Camden County. I am from Region 3-AAAAA. I went to Bradwell Institute. Bradwell Institute have not Beaten Camden County in ten long years. Not not discounting Bradwell Institute, because Bradwell Institute have beaten several good teams outiside of their Region. Bradwell Institute have over the years have Beaten in the Playoffs Valdosta, Warner Robins, Newnan, Carver of Columbus, Baldwin County and the list keeps going. Yes Bradwell Institute have not won a Region since 1998. It has been Camden County since then. Camden County have State Championships to prove that they are a contender.

On the other hand, with respect to Newton County, they are no match for a Camden County. I can see Stephenson giving them a good fight but no one else in Region 2-AAAAA will be able to keep up with Camden County. have you even came down to see a South Georgia Perinnial Power such as Lowndes County, Colquitt County, Northside Warner Robins, Warner Robins, Camden County, play? if not, I highly recommend you do just that, and then ask yourself can Newton County contend with a Camden County? I bet you will say no......

Top teams from each 5 A region:
1- Colquitt, Northside, Lowdnes Warner Robins
2- Stephenson, Union Grove, ML King, Newton(Luella)
3-Camden County, Winsor Forrest, Bradwell Institute, Jenkins(Beach)
4-Newnan, Westlake, East Coweta, Chapell Hill
5-McEachern, Woodstock, Etowah, East Paulding(Harrison, Cherokee)
6-Lassiter, Roswell, Walton, Kell
7-North Gwinnett, Peachtree Ridge, Collins Hill, North Forsyth(Norcross)
8-Grayso, South Gwinnett, Dacula, Parkview(Brookwood)

The bottom of all regions look the same. Each region has a team with no regions with the exception of 5A. No matter the region, they all have their cellar dwellers. This year, there is no dominant regions except 6-7 who top 2 teams are undefeated, and this will change in the coming weeks. Happy hunting

SportsFan31313: It's funny how so many teams are being given a pass. I have read several comments regarding Camden on this site as for sure winners.First things first Newton County has to win Friday to get in the play offs, but if i were a number one seed the last team I would want to face is that bunch from Newton County.Camden as good as they may be will get it's first real game since week three next Friday and us and MLK and "U" found out if you sleep on Newton County that they will scare the daylights out of you and all three of us were lucky to get a win the next team may not be so lucky.

SportsFan LaGrange is French for "The Farm," so I guess a Granger would be a farmer lol. And as for Troup, hard to tell. Cross-town rival. Clicking on all cylinders right now. Can't say for certainty that LaGrange will win. Trying to avoid a Northside fiasco, catch my drift?

Greetings Go UG,

I agree with you. I said that either last week forecasting who will play who. Union Grove and Martin Luther King are very very good this year. I have been watching you two. I believe the top Three in Region 2-AAAAA will advance to the 2nd Round. Newton County can cancel Christmas. No way they beat Camden County. See them next year maybe. Bradwell Institute played Martin Luther King a few years back, and lost to them in the Playoffs. But don't under estimate Bradwell Institute, they do have a few starters returning not at 100% but they are playing with their heart, and they have guts. And sometimes, guts is enough. Hopefully they will give you a good game. As far as the other two out of Region 3-AAAAA, it will be a cake walk for Region 2-AAAAA.

Greetings SGT Chirs,

LaGrange will not lose any more games in the regular season. I have them hosting Region 3-AAA Liberty County in the first round. You disagree?

SportsFan31313, I appreciate your confidence in us but we have to get by a very good MLK team to claim #2. MLK is no slouch and their running back has already committed to Florida. If we come out with the same focus as we did against Stephenson we have a good chance to win it. We will either play you in the first round or Windsor Forest. We have a hard 3 games before getting to the playoffs. I feel for you having all those starters out. Good luck to you guys.

Who the crap is this dude??? seiler??? AGAIN, AND FOR THE LAST TIME....NEVER HAVE I BASHED CAMDEN FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!!!!!!! You obviously picked apart my post and didnt read THE WHOLE THING. If you did read it, you will see why I made the comparison between lagrange valdosta and camden in 91..I made that comment because someone said LaGrange had never won a title in the state's highest class...ONLY people in AAAAA care about 5A, like its the best thing since sliced bread. Truth is, IF my county had only ONE HIGH SCHOOL, instead of three, then i think we might be up in AAAAA. its called simple math. Truth is, Camden may as well be in AAA because thats all that's in their region anyway..I see youre one of those playoff posters, that only come out at the end of the year, cause i definitly have never seen your name in this blog...NOW onto more educated posters

SportsFan, where do you keep getting Mustangs from? Yes youre right, the region 2 #2 gets region 3 #3, but what i was saying was that should troup beat lagrange, that would make lagrange a 3 seed and would have to probably go to washington county in the first round.

Kudos to Valdosta's coach Rick Tomberlin for doing the right thing last Friday night. Valdosta's gifted QB had to miss 3 days of school last week for displinary reasons, or so the rumor has it, but his suspension was over in time for him to go back to school Friday, and thus eligible to play in Friday night's ballgame. But even with facing the must win game, Coach Tomberlin refused to let his regular QB dress out for the game and instead played his wide receiver at QB. The wide receiver, Chad Prain who is also a baseball player at Valdosta besides being a really good wide receier, responded by scoring 3 TD's and had a GREAT GAME, and rushing for over 150 yards..

Let's ALL join together and say "WAY TO GO COACH TOMBERLIN!"

Yes I noticed AVikingFan, LOL...... :-) Hey AViking Fan, any validity to this below?

The "U" Union Grove that is! Says:

Has anyone heard that Stone Mtn. Coach is being investigated and suspended for recruiting violations? A friend told me one of their Coaches is in trouble and they may have to forfeit some of their games. If that is true no playoffs for the Pirates.

SportsFan31313 - By Northside losing last week to Warner Robins, it takes the 3 way tie breaker out of the equation. By some miracle (and good playing) if Colquitt beats NSWR, and if Lowndes beats Warner Robins at Lowndes, then Lowndes will win 1st place and Colquitt would be runners up, by region rules. (Lowndes won the head to head matchup) Northside would be then be third but probably will have the best of the 4 playoff brackets.

Also of importance, If Lowndes beats Warner Robins and Valdosta beats your old nemesis Houston County, Valdosta wins 4th place and the right to travel to Newnan in round one. (ughhh!) BTW have you noticed Houston Co has not defeated a single region one team this year after demolishing Bradford early this year? Sorry, just had to rub that in. ha ha (all in fun)

Greetings Region 6-AAAA,

LOL..... :-) :-) :-) :-) You already know that It will be a three way tie by the end of the week. I agree with you because Stone Mountain will not beat South west Dekalb this coming Friday. Chamblee, and Lithonia will win or should I say should win easily. That makes you three 5-4 in the Region. If that was to happen, then I will give it to Lithonia by points average per game. The only way I see Stone Mountain making it to the Post season, they would have to beat South West Dekalb, or Lithonia will have to lose, or win by a very small number of points to crush their points per average. Right now, I hear the Fat Lady singing at Stone Mountain. :-) :-) :-) :-)

I'll second that! Goooooooo Packers, beat NSWR. (I hate to jump on someone else's bandwagon as EaglenationRising calls it, but for Lowndes to finish number one, Colquitt Packers will have to beat Northside, something very hard to do at the MAC.) But, WR proved it can be done, especially when ENR leaves in the 3rd Quarter (ha ha just poking fun ENR).

Man! 4th place in region 5-AAAAA is even harder to predict than in 1-AAAAA. It looks like it might be a 5-5 Marietta team, depending on that region's tie breaker system.

BTW, ENR, I still have my motel reservations in St Mary's for the 2nd playoff game. I sure hope I get to cancel it, that ride all the way over to the east side of I-95 at Kingsland is a long ride - BOTH WAYS. In fact it might be even longer coming back!!!!!

YO- when the season is over, can you see if you can borrow Tift's cannon for us to use in the playoffs? That dadgum gazoo (or whatever it is) that they use in the press box to try to make noise with when we score is awful!!!! Maybe Cannon Rules will lend us theirs!

HomeFieldAdvantage,

What if NSWR lose again this weekend? Then the Title will go out right to the Vikings correct? How ill the seedings go? I said in an earlier comment that in Region 1-AAAAA we wont know how this will go until the very last game is played. The Fat Lady is not singing until this Friday.

Region 6AAAA if Lithonia, Chamblee, and Stone Mountain all finish with 5-4 region records who get the tie breaker for the fourth seed. Throw head to head out of the window because they all beat one another. Neither team played any non region class AAAA school so throw that tie breaker out the window. So what the next tie breaker?

Greetings HomeFieldAdvantage,

Thank you for your kind words and warm sentiments.

As far as North Gwinette and The "Ridge" Peachtree Ridge? I will say "Not So Fast"!!!!!

Peachtree has history and momentum here. The only loss came from Lowndes County. Heck you can't compare the Ridge to Lowndes County or hardly any school in the Metro area. I am going to give Grayson some credit because of what has occurred last year. But I'm going with the Ridge. No upset here just a plain beating of North Gwinette. The Ridge is suppose to win. If they lose, I will call it an upset.

SGT Chris,

Please tell me if I am wrong, but I believe the #2 seed out of region 2-AAA will Host the #3 seed out of Region 3-AAA. Liberty County is the #3 seed. Washington County is the #2 seed out of Region 3 and will host the #3 seed out of Region 2.

Good luck Friday Sportsfan31313! Good luck to you too Black and Gold - that means to Colquitt and to Valdosta.

Now I will try to answer some questions asked of me.

Bulldawgbite last night at 11:16 pm asked me who I predicted in the N. Gwinnett vs Peachtree Ridge game. I'll have to go with NG. PR didn't impress me.

HornetDave asked me at 11:21 pm last night what I thought of the 07 Roswell team. Absolutely the best team we played all year. Where is that QB now? I can still see him passing when I close my eyes. I also see Roswell winning this Friday, with the kicker being the difference.

Goooooo Packers, beat NSWR!!! (how's that for being a "cheerleader" YO?

YO, where's your alter ego Goober? Is his name really BEN?

The "U" Union Grove that is!

November 1st, 2009
4:14 pm

Has anyone heard that Stone Mtn. Coach is being investigated and suspended for recruiting violations? A friend told me one of their Coaches is in trouble and they may have to forfeit some of their games. If that is true no playoffs for the Pirates.

WOW!!!! Is that Fact? Anyone can verify? Todd Holcomb, Chip Saye, Michael Carvell, AJC Sports. That will be interesting / Breaking News as Bradwell Institute will have to travel to play against them.

Greetings HomeFieldAdvantage,

Bradwell Institute will finish third 3rd this year in the Region. They will have to travel to Henry County and face a very good Region 2-AAAAA #2 seed Union Grove football team.Hopefully those injured players will bounce back from those injuries next year and be ready to play with full capacity. This is a very young team. The team consist majority of Sophmores, then some Juniors. Very little seniors this year. I believe less than 5 seniors. Bradwell Institute will be a solid team, and will definitely will be contending next year. Watch out Camden County. You all will be coming to Hinesville to play us.

Greetings Wardawg,

Here is an interesting analogy, Navy is to Air Force as Marine is to Army. For the Army and the Marines, whenever we need a ride, we always give you all a call. :-) :-) :-) :-)

Now, we will bring quite a bit of fans this week. To pull for Bradwell Institute. You know we haven't beaten you all in several years. I can't even count the number of Region Title Camden County has since coming back to the Region. Prior to you all Bradwell Institute owned the Region Titles.

Nevertheless, we all know about number 32 Running back Ean Days, Number #15 Running back Andre Johnson, Defensive Back # 27 Steven Murphy, and # 90 Tight End, & Defensive End player Derrick ( "Steak") Saulsberry l. I don't know if Bradwell Institute can contain these players, but I am sure they have watched a lot of film on them. Bradwell Institute this had 12 starters injured this with five of the starters being out for the season. That is why Bradwell Institute drop those two Region games to two NON-Contenders in the regular season. I'm sure that they will come ready to play.

Don't forget about the County School (Liberty County) Region 3-AAA. I believe they will travel to the Region 2-AAA #2 seed LaGrange, Georgia to play the LaGrange Mustangs in the first round of the Playoffs. Liberty County has a great defense, and the Offense can hold their won. Thy come out a region who I believe to be the toughest Region in Class AAA. If you remember three schools were ranked this year in the top 10. Washington County, Baldwin County, and Burke County. Liberty County beat Burke County at Burke County. This Region remind me of Region 1-AAAAA. This will be an exciting game to watch Sgt Chris.

Does anyone know how the Region 7A playoff situation works. Right now their are 3 teams Dalton, NW Whitfield & Sequoyah with 5-1 Region records. They all beat each other and because of it being a sub region with Hiram and Sprayberry over in Region 7B you have 5 teams vs 4 playoff spots. Can anyone clarify for me?

Good to see one of our teams climb the latter. Griffin should be nervous because SWD is on your tail! Too bad for Tucker, but they will be back. Marist is still Marist, so dont put them under the radar. And our fourth spot is still up for grabs. SMHS needs to get their offense straight and Chamblee is picking up momentum. Lithonia is still in the mix as well. I expect typical Lithonia to be finished after this week though. A three way tie would come down to point differential and Stone Mountain has the upper hand in that case.

HomeFieldAdvantage - If I may answer your question.
Cannon Rules and Headeast, who’s gonna take 4th in your region?
Cherokee, EP and Harrisson will all lose as the play McCeachern, Woodstock and Etowah respectively.
That leaves Marietta in through the back door as they play lowly Kennesaw Mtn. Go figure...

While I watched the roswell walton game on friday, it was an ugly display of football for roswell. Two blown coveragesled to a 14-0 hole 5 minutes into the game. The game turned on roswells strong running game; our starting quarterback is a nice kid but not a very good qb especially since he is a senior. The field was also in awful condition. I felt like roswell won an ugly game because sometimes good teams will win because of solid defense and good overall fundamentals. When the play-action pass is there for roswell, it only works when the backuo qb is running the offense basically. It appeared that roswell offense had matchup advantages at wr, but because of a bad field and poor starting qb play it was not working. The offensive play calling should be noted is very predictable. I think roswell will win friday in a high scoring game because of thier defense and ball control offense. Hope lassitter field is better than walton. First and 10 hornets !!!
