There is definitely a turnaround in the SMHS program. I went to the homecoming last week and noticed a drastic change in the demeanor of the coaches, players and the fan base. It seems that the last coach put a dark cloud over the program and its so good to see that the principal made the right decision and got rid of him. The last couple of years have been awful and made me ashamed to be a Pirate. You can almost see the same thing happening over at Redan. Whats up with these APS coaches coming to Dekalb and stinking it up? Just by the showing last week against Tucker, I know our program is now headed in the right direction and they will be good in the years to come. We might even be ranked for the first time since 1999. From what I hear from my sources the coaches there now are 100 times better than the ones they had. If you are a lousy coach in Dekalb, it will show because the county is full of talent in just about every district. Clarkston and Cross Keys struggle because they have a large international population, and Druid Hills and Lakeside claim their academics are so strong that the average athlete finds it hard to thrive there. But other than that there really is no reason to loose in Dekalb.

Region 6AAAA game of the week is…………… Tucker vs. SWD. Duhhhhhhhhhh! Stone Mountain vs. Chamblee should be a good one as well. Dont see Lithonia giving Marist any problems and the rest of the those games don’t matter at all.

Predictions are just that predictions! Any team in the playoffs can beat another team on any given week. Keep believing that 7-AAAA is weak, thats why they play the game.
Don’t be a fool!!

Guess we can stop debating now whether Stone Mountain will win in the first round or not — since Stone Mountain now will not even make the playoffs after losing to Chamblee.

LOL……… You see Region 6-AAAAA Remember my comment about SMHS? If not, let me remind you. I said that Stone Mountain should be greatful that may make the 4th seed in the playoffs. But they didn’t even do that. I said that they have to get by Chamblee.

Good to see one of our teams climb the latter. Griffin should be nervous because SWD is on your tail! Too bad for Tucker, but they will be back. Marist is still Marist, so dont put them under the radar. And our fourth spot is still up for grabs. SMHS needs to get their offense straight and Chamblee is picking up momentum. Lithonia is still in the mix as well. I expect typical Lithonia to be finished after this week though. A three way tie would come down to point differential and Stone Mountain has the upper hand in that case.

Let me tell you something Region 6-AAAA,
Trust me when I say this: Griffin isn’t worried at the very least about any team in Region 6-AAAA. I will promise you that.
