Grayson Student: You guys should seriously be ashamed of yourselves! Ya’ll have bragged about how your coach has “class” and how he wouldn’t run the scoreboard. FINAL SCORE 56-0! I am once again declaring what a bunch of arrogant, redneck hillbillies that you once and for all will ALWAYS be. You could have at least let them score. You guys are selfish and I still can’t wait til someone brings you down!

I heard at the Newnan-Pebblebrook game, 2 Pebblebrook players started fighting each other at the end of the game. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

G-Lion: I saw the Marist vs. SWD game. Refs made some petty unsportsmanlike conduct calls against Marist — just kids being kids after a big play, not really taunting. Did not make same calls against SWD. But, Marist can’t blame the refs — just can’t put yourself in that position in a big game.
It was a good game. Weather sucked, especially in 2d half after SWD’s impressive opening drive. Both teams are very fast and very good. Someone on the board suggested it was a beat down. Hardly. Marist led 7-6 at half, but mistakes and penalities killed it in the 2d half. Ken Malcome played great. Both of these teams are legit contenders for state title.

Lassiter puts up 42 and beats Walton at Walton – time to crack the top 10 or do we have to beat Roswell at home and go 10-0 before that happens??

ENR, where are you now talking all your trash about Warner Robins. They went down to Colquit County tonite and got their butts spanked. You ranted and raved for paragraphs, like you always do, about how WR was gonna get on a bus and do this and that. “Get this through your heads sport fans” All that kind of CRAP that you spew every week. Dude, you really need to get a life. This is a game, played by kids, and everyone has their tradition and pride and history and so on. The fact of the matter is that it is settled every week on the field in the spirit of competition and sportsmanship. Your bantering about and your weekly recitals about how great NSWR is and how they are untouchable at the MAC is really just a display of how dismal your life really must be. Congratulations Packers, job well done. Now please ENR, shut the hell up!!!!

if northsides qb cant even last against tift what makes them think that they can compete in the playoffs? forget about the third round, if you dont have a qb that can manage the ball then you got yourself a BIG problem.

The refs were alright Marist lost their composure in the second half, and the refs were fed up with their attitudes cant blame em. And it was a beat down Marist didnt score in the second half. But we handled business and its on to face tucker.

back in the 5A races again; people you do not understand that when Colquitt lost to lowndes; colquitt really outplayed these guys and Colquitt County made alot of mistakes and they really won that game; but since then Colquitt County has improve on ball handling and Northside W. Nice call,ENR:
McEachern 35, Harrison 7…My instincts tell me that it is going to be worse. However, I have respect for Harrison. I would not be shocked if McEachern “Peachtree Ridges” Harrison, just because they can. It might get nasty for the Hoyas tonight.

Tucker score surprised me too. Not sure that Stone Mountain is that tough — may be that Tucker is just not so good this year. Remember, Marist crushed both of these teams. I don’t expect SWD to have any problem with either of them.

The fan that said that Colquitt County is good as the teams from the 90s
you are correct this team that i have been talking about is a championship caliber team; but if you are from the moultrie area then you know what I am talking about then when it comes to the Packers of
Moultrie. Colquitt County is a dangerous team ask Lowndes even though
Lowndes won; even thier coach said quote, “Colquitt is going to Surprise some people.” because the Packers ran the ball all over Lowndes but to make crucial fumbles (5) in the red zone within 5 yards
of the touchdown. So Now I think Colquitt County has now started to get back it’s respect among the elite.

Great game last night between roswell and milton. The score did not indicate how close the game was throughout. Both defenses were very physical. Milton quarterback and receievers were very good and were matchup problems for roswell all night. Roswell starting qb play was and continues to be not very good. Roswell line and linebackers really played well in the 2nd half. I honestly worry about having to win the last 2 games on the road against walton and lassitter. Beating walton mighht be realistic, but with our starting quarterback play, its unlikely that we run the table unless the defense carries us. Defense wins championships anyway, right??? First and 10 Hornets !!!!

Ed – Marist didn’t crush Tucker the score doesn’t really show the game. Much like the score in the championship game (15-3) year when Tucker manhandled ‘Marist in the dome. Unless Tucker play calling gets better I don’t see things changing. To predicable and it’s been that way for 3 years now.

ProudViking: I live in Atlanta, GA, recently rated as the top singles’ city in the United States. My Friday nights include high school football and then “socializing” on many of my weekend evenings. You may be unaware due to the fact that most restaurants are closed after the high school football games in Valdosta. In Atlanta, many social outlets are just beginning to open.
I had a wonderful opportunity to see a really good football team, maybe great team, at McEachern. I had to see a team averaging over 43 points per game in person. Since I was in Cobb County, I decided to stop by an area called Vinings, just west of Buckhead.
All of you married guys in the suburbs, please stay out there. There are homewreckers in this city. Trust me. You guys watch the high school game and go home. There are guys in the city that will represent you on the Atlanta social circuit.
ProudViking, why are you looking for me? Colquitt beat Warner Robins. OK, I overestimated the sense of urgency at Warner Robins HS. I thought that the Demons might have a little pressure with what appears to be their playoff lives on the line. I do not know what back-to-back seasons without reaching the playoffs means to Warner Robins head coach Bryan Way. Way does have a 2004 State Championship at Warner Robins. Still, the losing is piling on. The Demons still have a chance. I don’t see it though.

FYI: If anyone doubts the McEachern Indians, reevaluate your naysaying. I had an opportunity to see McEachern live. By the way, that is a really, really nice high school campus. The place looks like a small college. As for football, if there is a better offensive football team in the state of Georgia, I would like to see it. These guys are averaging over 43 points per game and can really do what they want to do on offense.
Yes, Harrison is in s down season and it was certainly a down week. However, I have watched some top tier teams in Georgia. When you see Northside play, their defense has a confidence as though they can stop anyone. If you ever have an opportunity to sit behind the Camden County sideline, you will see the same with their defense. The Lowndes County offense has a pep in there step with optimum confidence. McEachern can score any time they step on the field and they know it.
The AJC has had a regular new flavor of the month. Why they have not simply sat still on the Grayson bandwagon is a little surprising. However, I just do not see any team that can stop McEachern from scoring. They have super athletes. It is like watching Stephenson or Lowndes County. The athletes just keep coming. MCEACHERN IS THE REAL DEAL.
You heard it from me.
***Northside posters I told you that the Tift County game was a “trap game.” I just knew it. Young teams rarely have their minds right throughout the entire season. We can only be happy that it happened against Tift County, instead of Lowndes County, Carver-Columbus, or Valdosta. It is actually a blessing in disguise. They should be ready for Warner Robins, Colquitt County, and the playoffs. As always, it is great to be a Northside Eagle. That was a nice “character game” for our young Eagles!

Dustin: The only team that could possibly outscore McEachern is Lowndes County, Stephenson, or maybe (I stress maybe) Newnan. Of course, you NEVER know what is happening down in Kingsland with Camden County. The AJC will not spread the word. Therefore, I will. Without becoming an East Paulding poster and riding someelse’s bandwagon, I do not see a team that can not regularly score 28-35 points beating the Indians. Their offense is sick.
Defense is the only question mark with the McEachern team. How they respond to playing a top tier defense in the state playoffs will be interesting. Will McEachern hang their heads if have three or four straight 3 and outs? Will the McEachern defense be able to respond consistently if they have to stay on the field? Those are questions that will be answered. However, the Indians are serious!!!
No Cobb County school has won a state championship in football since Marietta High School since 1967. There are some good teams in Cobb this year. We will see.

Warner is history unless the Cats can’t beat the worse 2 teams in the region to close out the year.
Colquit will give Northside all they want and if Northside lets Warner take to much out of their sails the previous week, then look out.
I see Northside winning the region in a close one though.
McEachern….we’ll have to wait and see what happens when they play some teams that don’t routinely give up more than 10-17 pts. a gaeme
and are used to scoring 35 plus points a game themselves.
I still doubt the McEachern defense.
Offense gets everybody excited about championships, but defense wins championships.

North Georgia I was at the Colquit/Lowndes game and we obviously saw 2 different games. But you keep on thinking what it is you want to think.
Having said that, Colquit has a fine team and any one trying to match up to them should be concerned. Travel will end up being Colquit’s achiles heel in the playoffs. After the long ride to Northside the last week they then are looking at 5 more straight weeks of 3 to 6 hour bus rides.
Unless you can pull off the Northside upset at the Mac and then who knows how the region will seed from there.
