jcwfalcon, i went to lowndes and graduated back in 85 and was on the f-ball team there. I currently live in Dallas Tx and enjoy all the b.s. that goes on in this room. I wish everyone in here a good one and i hope the falcons kick the cowboys tails really good. Have a safe trip here and enjoy yourself bud.

fitz 21 – brooks 07 final!!!!!!!! give it up to brooks they gave fitz a fit, they are very talented and should go far in the playoffs, they also have a very good coach.BUT fitz was the victor very good game.

thanks RedNeck. I am looking forward to having a great time in big D with several other Falcons fans flying in from across the country. Cant way to see the Jerry Dome and I hope the Falcons beat the Jerrys. I try to make one or two road games a year. This year its Dallas and Carowhina.
On the NHS/Tifton game it sounds like the refs are keeping the flags in their pockets a little more oftne in the 2nd. One sounded like it was PI against the Eagles they didnt call on a crucial 3rd down.

About 8 minutes to go. Northside had a TD run called back by penalty (commentators said questionable)…then missed a 34 yard fg attempt. Still 21-13.

You NS cats are alright…down with Metro Atlanta schools’ pooling athletes and sending them to the newest/biggest and most well-equip programs. Parkview and Brookwood were good. Peachtree Ridge is good…but there’s no tradition. If Francoeur had blown out his knee, settled down in Lilburn, and worked for the Gwinnett airport…his freak of a son would be “conveniently” districted to the present Metro Atl powerhouse.

Black and Gold 24: Congrats on the win. I must say I called it. Stop WR rushing attack & they can’t move the ball.
I went to Collins Hill-Mill Creek tilt tonight. Boy what a bunch of pansies that stayed home. Not even 1000 people showed up. The Eagles plucked the Hawks 35-0. Nice to see the Hill bounce back with a win & practically lock up a playoff slot.

Well, the secret to Northside (or Warner Robins in their hayday) is the Air Force Base. We kind of do our own pooling of players from a smaller pool. When a great athletes parents get stationed at Robins, they typically ask where they need to move (which part of town) based on which team is the biggest contender. Thats why its so hard to get over the hump. Right now Northside has it.

JCWFALCON: Afraid all that will change next year with the new school, Veterans HS. Even though it is on the south side of town, not too far from Houston Co HS, I hear the rezoning is going to hit NSHS prettty hard. Probably will bump them back to AAAA.

Yeah…I know, and Valdosta/Lowndes Co. had an enormous factory (that was part of a national chain) as its networking tool. We just breed ‘em in Newnan. God bless us. With an umbilical cord or two like the power houses from the south have had, or the expansion teams in suburbia now enjoy…Newnan might be De La Salle, or Independence, or even Oakhill basketball. Newnan could be to football as Jamaica is to track…our own happy island.

Brookwood……….ouch! A must win next week but it does not look good for Brookwood making it in the playoffs….does it?
Grayson won……against Meadowcreek, someone move Meadowcreek to AAAA or a non region schedule. Not fair for those kids. Their band rocks though. I think they could use more cowbell!

Hiram Hornets won tonight to stay UNDEAFEATED!!! They won 28 / 20!!!
They whipped Hillgrove in a tough game and I have to say that Hillgrove’s team is HUGE and fast…

Marion County defeated Schley County 39-6 at HOME after the loss of Erick Guitierez. His Parents parked his truck on the track between the home fans and the players. It was an emotional night for everyone there. My thoughts and prayers go out to the parents, players, friends and fans. I never knew the kid, but great things were said about his attitude and commitment.

TJ: Brookwood is not dead yet. Currently they are 4-2 in the region, tied for third with Dacula. Right now they would be the #4 seed. Even if they lose to South, as long as they beat Parkview, the Broncos will be the #4 seed by virtue of beating Parkview. South will be the #2 seed unless Brookwood wins out, which would have South, Brookwood & Dacula with 6-2 records. Dacula has Berkmar & Meadowcreek left, so they should be no worse than #3 seed.
Congrats to the fighting Chuck (King) Oliver’s (Central Gwinnett) getting their first win tonight.
Demons look like the odd man out in Region 1-AAAAA. A Colquitt win over HoCo locks up the #3 seed for the Packers.

i really think its time for the ghsa to look into options for the schedule for meadowcreek, seems as if every year that grayson plays them they have 1 or 2 kids get ejected for trying to fight… this isnt the bronx new york as many of these kids want to believe… its an absolute disgrace for that team, school, and the few on that team that care and try their best. I hate to see them get beat week in and week out like that
