Reality and Gwinnett Fan! STOP THE BASHING!!! I sure hope you don’t have a son that plays for Brookwood! If you do, and if he hears you constantly bad mouthing the coach and the quarterback then he will not be supportive of the team! I don’t like losing either and yes, if things were different then we could have had a great shot at the state championship, but unfortunately it is what it is so quit complaining! Keep your butt at home or go to another game! We still have three games left. Have some faith! It is also on how bad these boys want to win as well!!

You tell them Brookwood Mom. How bad is it raining in your area? I was in Snellville around 2 & had a heavy downpour come thru but it cleared up real quick. However, its raining in Suwanee now, but in the immortal words of Carl Spackler: “I’d play on. The heavy stuff won’t be here for a while yet.”

Thank you SGa Rules…You are absolutely correct in ur assessment of NS!!! The chicken continues to puke at the mouth, ra ra ra ra and Ns has won only two(count em, 2) state championships since 1990!!!!!!! We are talking football here…this is a football blog right??? We dont care about how many titles Ns has won in other sports….lets stick with talking football!!! Then we must say that Ns has won a lot of games without the trophy to show for it!! True winners are never satisfied without being crowned as the best at what they do…home winning streaks aint worth a s…. without championships!!! Just a few years ago conrad nix was about to be run out of town b/c Ns had all this talent, but no state titles…it was said he couldnt win the big game. Ns has since won 2 titles(regular season and playoffs wins don’t matter) and people the weakling thinks we are gonna bow and crown Ns as the best program n the state.

Snellville needs it to start raining men so Brookwood has a chance against the Falcons.

Why would fans throw rocks at the bus of opposing fans if they lost the game? Some new tradition I was not aware of. Sounds rather crimminal and stupid to me. Guess I missed the value of school spirit as it has reshaped itself in some communities. God bless our youth, they are our future!

For anyone looking for streaming audio here in Georgia, we found this website. Disclaimer: We’re not sure what works and what doesn’t, but it looks like a good place to start. Don’t blame us if something freezes your computer, though. We’re just trying to get you started finding HS streaming audio.

eaglenationtalking: I know that you had to throw in the home winning streak (of NorthsideWR) to provide icing for the cake that is your perception of the glorious (aka OVERRATED) Northside program. Besides some punctuation and overall tact, your so eloquently stated analysis was missing another “tid-bit.” You mentioned the losses in ‘96 and ‘04, but surreptitiously evaded the “glorious” season of 2003. An undefeated regular season situated the eagles at #2 in AAAAA, between Camden Co. and Parkview (who just so happened to win the 3 previous state titles). In the second round of the playoffs, the “always physical” and talent laden eagles (led by a top QB prospect) faced the unknown Newnan Cougars at the imposing MAC. Northside’s quarterback wanted to quit football by the end of the 1st quarter, and Newnan punished the eagles relentlessly. 24-0. Don’t get caught with your pants around your ankles…you’re not big enough for those britches.

We’re watching Marist-SW DeKalb on TV. Malcome just ran 74 yards for the SWD score to make it SWD 6, Marist 0. How funny is it that the SWD band got asked to quiet down by the refs? LOL – Man, that Panthers band is something else!

SWD’s Ken Malcome — hands down the state’s No 1 RB — goes 74 yards down the right sidelines for TD. 6-0 SWD in first quarter.

Interesting game plan by Marist. They rarely throw in perfect weather. Now in the pouring rain, they threw a couple of passes in the first quarter (not much luck then). They set up first TD with a big pass play. 7-6 Marist

@Carvell: Hey, Ken Malcome was SERIOUSLY limping off the field and on TV he flat-out just about collapsed on the sideline and CSS is showing that he has cramps in his calf muscle. Scary moment there. Right now they’re trying to rub out the cramp, looks like, and he’s taking in lots of water.

Don’t worry Vike…let the haters hate. Luckily HS football does not end in bowl games. Your Vikings will have ample opportunity to silence critics and redeem their image. I wish I could say that Newnan carries a stick as big as Lowndes, but I’m a realist. As I carry not the largest stick in the blog…neither will I walk softly.

What’s going on? I’m listening to the Tift-Northside game. Tift is ahead 13-0 and had just intercepted and run it back 49 yards for another TD but it was called back on a penalty. Would have been 20-0!!

1 pick given up. 1 Fumble lost. One pick 6 for Tift called back by penalty. QB also fumbled another time but NHS recovered. So in a quarter and a half, 2 real turnovers that could have been 4. Sloppy with the penalties too.

I bet Nix goes with his backup QB soon. Brunt was VERY green going into this year and had a problem with nerves. He pulled him in the first game for a couple of quarters, then put him back in and he was fine. Unfortunately, that may be whats needed right now.

Cant see the calls but it certainly sounds like a lot of flags. Usually this broadcast crew is pretty legit and calls a spade a spade, and they are starting to get pretty frustrated. Between both teams that is probably 12-15 penalties.
