MLK, Stephenson, Collins Hill must answer bell Friday

There are 12 undefeated teams in Class AAAAA, and about half have not been tested against another top AAAAA opponent.

The chance to make an impression is now for MLK and Stephenson, which play each other Friday, and Collins Hill, which takes on Peachtree Ridge, another team that has something to prove.

I think Peachtree Ridge will reassert itself as a state-title contender and handle Collins Hill. I have no feel for MLK-Stephenson other than a sense that one is better, and one is worse, than we all think and that it could be a blowout.

In other news, I’d like to her people’s take on Lowndes-Valdosta. The score – 57-15 – was stunning, but then Lowndes also beat Peachtree Ridge by similar numbers. Valdosta had some injury issues. I expected Lowndes to roll, but not like that.

Because it’s Valdosta, I quickly went to some of the message boards to hear the backlash after the game.

I don’t know Rick Tomberlin well, but I’ve had many conversations with him, and it’s hard for me to think those who spend time around him don’t like and admire him. Truth is, Valdosta always has had a good head coach, and the current one seems like the kind of role model I’d want around my kids. Is that enough in Valdosta? I think Valdosta will make the playoffs this season and bounce back from this loss, but Tomberlin is still a game under .500 at Valdosta

I also think most Valdosta fans realize the current challenges in the football program and support Tomberlin, who told me this summer, “I never thought Valdosta would be so nice. In some respects, Valdosta gets a bad rap in terms of not treating coaches good. Maybe some things happened in the past. I can’t say good or bad, but they’ve treated me nothing but wonderfully.’’

Of course, Tomberlin doesn’t read the message boards. There, he would find people who don’t realize that winning at Valdosta is tougher now than it’s been in 70 years.

Lets go Jags. Dem stephenson boys ready for whatever. Aint no way they should even have a problem with MLK. All we have to do is shut down Mack and let Raymond(The best running back and most under rated in GA) DO HIS THANG. I think that Mlk will have a very tough time finding any running room. Stephenson has the best front seven it has had in a long time. That is saying a lot because in the LSU VS Florida game stephenson had 3 STARTERS on defense in that game(Perry Riley(LSU), Kelvin Shephard(LSU), and Jermaine Cunningham(UF)). Now come on how many high school teams in the state better yet nation can say they have 3 STARTERS on two top 5 SEC teams. That Defensive line is raw. #56, #49, #57, #45, and #3 be holding down that line of scrimmage and i doubt Mack gets over 60 yards. Even if they do go to passing they ball with #7, he is not gonna have much time with that line coming at him. But nonetheless in should be a good game.

Todd: Where would the most backlash be felt-on the Valdosta message boards or the UGA blogs? I’m sure for many down in Valdosta this weekend will go down in history as a real nightmare. Getting stomped by Lowndes & UT stomping UGA does not go over well. Regarding CH-PRHS, this will see if CH is a player in Region 7 or a #4 seed. After PRHS, CH has Mill Creek (win), South Forsyth (win) & Norcross (toss up). They do not play North due to not everyone playing each other & playing 2 non-region games instead of 1 non-region & round robin schedule.
BROOKWOOD MOM: You asked about the college blogs recently. The UGA blog is going crazy with thousands of comments. Good luck at “the Castle” Friday night versus Central Gwinnett.

I don’t think anyone can make solid prediction on the MLK-Stephenson game. You can say who would like to win but neither team has shown they are significantly better than the other. Actually, they are mirror images of each other. Both have a super defense which will not let anyone blow them out. Both have offenses that at any given time can light up the scoreboard in an instant. Both teams rarely get beaten by anybody. They normally beat themselves with consecutive bonehead penalties at the most inopportune time combined with predictable play calling.

Similar to the MLK-SWD game both backs Raymond Sanders and Mack Brown will be keyed and will not gain over 100 yards. The difference will be who plays the most mistake-free football and which coach is able to swallow their pride and change their game plan when it is obvious it is not working.

Regardless of who wins or loses, both teams combined will send more kids to college than any other region in the state.

Lowndes’ defense played it’s best game in well, maybe ever. For the 1st time I can remember under McPherson, we won the coin toss and chose to defer to the 2nd half, putting our defense on ther field to start the game. On the 3rd play we intercepted and ran it down close to the end zone where Kharey Franklin promptly ran it in. For the game we passed for 158 yards. (Parker was 5 out of 8.) In the 1st half Valdosta had minus yards rushing, while Lowndes had 258 yards total offense. Late in the 2nd quarter, Valdosta called the same exact pass play that Northside ran in the 4th quarter against Lowndes (when they went like 60 yards to set up the winning field goal) and Valdosta scored to make the score 23-7. But Lowndes came back on the next drive and went the length of the field to answer the Wildcats score, making it 30-7 at the half. We received the 2nd half kickoff, scored in a few plays, and the rout was on. Our starters and their backups came out at the end of the 3rd quarter, and the BTeam and 9th graders played the 4th quarter. It was the 1st time Valdosta has ever been forced to a running clock when they were behind. It was the most points ever scored on Valdosta, and Lowndes became the only team to beat them 6 times in a row. Above all else, proud Valdosta was humiliated and embarassed. That may very well be the fodder the anti Tomberlin people need to make a change with their head coach.

The talk around town is that Tomberlin’s tenure as the Cat’s coach is over, unless Valdosta goes deep into the playoffs. Before the season it was “he must win a playoff game.” I really hate it. He, like Randy McPherson, is a good friend of mine. And he is a very good man, a great leader for his players, a tremendous role model, a really devoted husband and father, and is a Christian in every way. Valdosta will never be the old Valdosta again, but Rick Tomberlin can do more for their young men and athletes than anybody else they can hope to find in helping them become better people.

I think that Valdosta has the players to do good. Its just the current play calling and scheme isn’t working out. Specially against that Vikings D. Lowndes was dominating the Cat’s WR and running game, alot of which had to do with the safeties which seemed to be everywhere cept for one play. The wideouts curled out which the safeties bit in on and the 3rd WR would streak up between the numbers and hash and would be open every time. Valdosta only maximised on this play once. In the 2nd half they didn’t run it much if at all going more for the short game. Just not a good match up scheme wise when it gets down to it.

Also, think is might be the last week Woodstock isn’t in the top ten. better crack it next week. haha

I listen to all the excusses , and guesses, and etc about Valdosta….Rge truth is that they only have a small area to draw players and students from. This has become the major reasob Valdosta has not been at the win level they once were year after year..Lowndes Co gets alot of talent that Valdosta once had in their hip pocket, but due to their location, and student base; they cannot match up on talent etc as they once did…This is why it is hard to win at Valdosta….This is the truth; because a friend of mine played, there, and grew up in Valdosta.

OK. I will make a prediction in the Stephenson MLK game. I predict that everyone there will be amazed by the Stephenson drum-line. I have not seen them play in a few years. But the football team will show talent. The band will be great. And the drum-line will be incredible. The school can be very proud regardless of the final score.

I suspect Peachtree Ridge will handle Collins Hill easily, but I am really pulling for the Eagles. They have made slow steady progress in their program over the last few years, and it just seems they deserve a little luck and a little recognition. They have pushed a big rock up a big hill and I would love to see them go the last few yards this year. They finally got the Buford wolf out of their hen house and they have kept some very strong home-grown talent. Go EAGLES!!!!

Westlake has 3 lineman that average 6′6 320. Two talented quarterbacks a 6′6 tight end on offense. The defensive ends are tall and athletic. They also have a linebacker who is committed to Tennessee and one of the best corners in the nation who is a Clemson commit.

Yes you are right in that there is no love for walton and lassiter. Add Roswell to that list as well. I believe that Roswell will beat Alpharetta this coming Friday; I also believe that Milton will pull off the upset this weekend against walton. Roswell is built the old fashion way; solid running game, really physical defense and special teams, and if neccessary 2 great playmakers at wide reciever. Guess Roswell will have to play under the radar until the last 2 weeks of the season when we meet Walton and Lassitter on the road. We may run the table but a 1 loss season and region title would also be great heading into the playoffs. Go Hornets !!!

Hornet 04,

I was at the game Friday night, my son plays for Hiram. I agree that it should be a great game between Hiram and Hillgrove, both teams match up well on paper. However, if Hiram turns the ball over 5 times against Hillgrove like they did against South Paulding, Hiram will get massacred. Hiram has to find a way to minimize turnovers and penalties against Hillgrove. If they do that, then it WILL be a great game. GO HORNETS!!!!!!!!

Bodog, I somewhat agree with you, Lowndes has over 2900 students while Valdosta has around 1800. Although, coaching is huge there is a lot to be said for the talent pool.
I predict Stephenson/MLK to be really close like Lowndes/NSWR with the edge going to Stephenson, probably around 10-7! It will come down to mistakes as both teams are very evenly matched.

Friday Nights game of the week

October 12th, 2009
10:09 am

I saw that game friday on CSS between Griffin and North Clayton and I must say that the game was decided by three questionable calls by the officials. #1 was a blocking in the back call against North Clayton in the 1st half that would have made the score 14 – 0 North Clayton going into halftime. #2 was the punt that Griffin downed on the 1 yard line even though their player had both feet over the line. That meant that North Clayton should have started at the 20 yard line instead of the 1 yard line. That was a crucial call because… and this is #3, the 2-point safety Griffin received because North Clayton was called for holding in the end zone which made the score 19-14 Griffin with around 6 minutes left to go in the 4th quarter. Ironically, all of the questionable calls went Griffin’s way even though North Clayton was at home.

GO UG – Correction. Lowndes has just over 2800 students and Valdosta has over 2000. But Valdosta has 5 gangs with national affiliation – per an FBI report to local schools – It’s hard for “good coaching” to overcome that. Police have had to go to Valdosta’s locker room at half time in the past to break up fights between team mates, and once after a game.

Valwood, a large predominently white private school, draws mostly from the Valdosta School District. This drains a lot of Booster funds that other wise would go to Valdosta High.

Valdosta’s QB is a good athelete, like Wolverine2Blazer says. But he acts like a thug on the field, and was warned repeatly by the refs last Friday night at Martin stadium. In the shotgun formation he missed the snap from center three times while jawing to the defense or gestering to the Lowndes fans and bench. (Granted the Wildcat starting center is out with an injury.) Valdosta’s QB reminds people of Marcus Ball. A great athelete who could not control his emotions. He and two other Wildcat players have been banned from the Lowndes High School campus by the Sheriffs Dept for off the field altercations that occurred back in the summer and once early this fall when Valdosta was not practicing on a day that Lowndes was.

The powers to be in Valdosta want to merge school districts with Lowndes (like Ware and Waycross did, except maintain two, or possibly three high schools). That it seems is their only hope of ever regaining their swagger.

MLK vs Stephenson is going to be a Dekalb county matchup this week, but Stephenson should win in a not so close game.

TO FRIDAY NIGHTS GAME OF THE WEEK – It doesn’t matter if the players feet were in the endzone, on a punt (or kick off which ever the case) the ball itself has to actually cross the goal line. So one of your so-called “questionable calls’ was entirely correct if the ball did not cross the plane of the goal line.

Go UG: Stephenson seems to be better. Didn’t hear MLK give any excuses on why the game was so close with us. They seemed like they didn’t have any major injuries, and it didn’t rain. Stephenson had players out, it rained, TDs called back, etc, etc. We should have lost by 30 on a normal FRI night, let some Stephenson bloggers tell it. At any rate, I haven’t seen the real Stephenson so, Ill say they are potentially better than MLK. But you know they decide these type of things on the field. Hman: Wow I said most of your post yesterday about Stephenson’s front seven, Brown’s chances against said defense, the FL- LSU connection, etc. I also said I like Stephenson, I hope they do well and win state. But folks are going hate on yall because most people feel yall should be hangin banners instead of making excuses. Period. A team that has multiple D1 prospects every year, shouldn’t be losing to anybody in the first round, especially at HOME. Until yall win state, expect the hate. Anyways, Stephenson wins FRI in a low scoring game, but I wouldn’t count on a bunch of big plays; both teams are stout on Defense.

Wildcat fan, you got to know Apalachee isn’t going to get a whole lot of respect from AJC. Be for real, your region is one of the worst in AAAA. I know this for a fact I was at the Rockdale game earlier this year, yall could have lost that game. Clarke Central is the only other team in your region that looks like they have a chance to get out of the first round, maybe Loganville. I know yall play a ten game region schedule, that’s what is going to keep yall at the bottom, because overall the region is not that good. Not being a Newton Co. homer, but Id take a 5-1 Alcovy team that has beaten an at the time undefeated Dutchtown on the road, Newton, eventual 8-AAA champ Eastside, and lost to North Clayton on the road by a FG. Looks like pedigree. Beat Loganville, Madison Co., and Salem convincingly, then holla back.

San Fran: I think it can be for sure. Lowndes and NSWR look really good…not sold on the over-hyped Gwinnett County schools. Newnan definitely has the best Defense in the state. They were ranked nationally last year in the top 50 and have all the main ingredients back. They do play in a weak region, but they do what they are supposed to do, which is dominate. Given up 2 defensive TD’s all year. Creekside ran a 58 yard TD on the third play of the game, yet yielded only 15 yards the rest of the game.

Just like I said earlier, MLK defense was stout, but as much as our one-dimensional offense wasn’t great. Penalties are a part of the game, obviously a part of the game we all need to work on. Sideline Observer that is really sad; Valdosta has always been one of the elite programs, maybe somehow some way the community can get it turned around. Unfortunately, gangs are a growing problem everywhere and they need to be squashed like bugs.
Roland, I would bet the farm that MLK WAS NOT looking past Newton! I am just ready to get it on with you guys so that we can see where we really are, of course we will know that before we get to you. Again I think Stephenson/MLK will be a close low scoring game with the edge going to Stephenson.

Newton – The goal is to win every game. No team should be making excuses for how they won or how they lost. Injuries, penalties, weather, and missed opportunities are all a part of the games. No team is immune from it and usually the team that handles all of these things better is usually the winner…take pride in what your team has done so far and maybe you all can build off it..Newton County’s season is still in front of them. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades! Good Luck in your season…..GO LIONS!!!!!

I don’t thin Valdosta needs to make any changes at the coaching position. They are in the SEC of High School football in the nation. This is the toughest region anyone could imagine being in. The region is crazy. Northside, Lowdnes, Warner Robins, Valdosta, Colquitt, Tifton, Houston. anybody can beat any team on a given day.

MLK/Stephenson who is better? having played both i give the edge to Stephenson becuase they have the one thing we don’t at newton speed. I thought MLK would be way better than us and they were not and unlike NEWTON who must have been at another game we would never have lost by 30 to either team for any reason, our coach told us something last week that stephenson has scored three offensive touchdowns against us in the last two years, one after a fumble inside the 10, one after a fumble inside the 20 and one after getting the ball on the 15,in other words they have not been able to move the ball on us. Our coach does not make excuses for losing, but I wonder how much different those games would be if our best DB had played,or if we had played with two of our three missing starters on the OL? Penalties are part of the game and if you were not commiting a penalty then maybe you would not have scored. This is not the newton of old, our coach is doing a good job of building a good team, look how fast he has made them better against the region powers, together neither of you scored your average number of points against us. This team is one to watch. Stop making excuses and accept the fact that you cannot bully everyone and because we are not from Dekalb that we can still play. so back to the Question……Jags win!

GO UG!

Is that North Clayton fan kidding? Griffin dominated that game and only allowed the Eagles to remain close through its own miscues (turnovers).
The Bears need to take fewer chances offensively (going on 4th down in their own territory) and on special teams (the onside kick worked but is too big a gamble) and realize it has a dominating defense and use it as such.

Jaguar, we know what the real deal is. We have to earn our respect with wins, not close losses. But lets keep it 100: 13-7, 15-8 wins are just that. So there is no need talking about what would have happened with penalties, injuries, weather etc. Not saying it was you, but some of the bloggers have been pretty smug about why the games were close. You beat the weaker teams much sound through the year like you should…but its the stronger teams or should I say the ones that are just as strong….you have a problem with! I think its coaching…you both have talented atheletes that can do the job… but youre not taught to use all of your full potential! Youre playing under the radar so to speak! UG- I won’t speak for Yo but it seems as though Union Grove could win that region. That would put them into a #1 seed and into a different playoff bracket. He is right with what it will take for Newnan to get through to the dome. I was looking at the same thing last night. If it CAN be done I’d say hand them the trophy before they get to the dome. Not saying whoever they would play couldn’t or wouldn’t win. But in my opinion they would have already beaten 2 of the top 4 teams in the state. Unless the WR Demons upset Colquitt, NSWR, or Lowndes they will not make the play-off. Valdosta schedule favors them the rest of the way for the number 4-spot out of 1AAAAA. This is the Demons projected championship team they have waited for since these boys moved-up from their fedder middle schools. If they don’t beat NS this year, regardless or not NS moves down to AAAA, the Demons will not stand a chance the next 4 or 5 years. SouthGARules – yep, I figured that would be the case: the #4 seed in Region 5 plays Grayson first round….

Which is why Etowah’s win over EP was so critical. Without that victory, Etowah would be scratching for the #4 seed. Now, there is a “hope” for a #2 seed. Etowah “should” win out as the collective records of the teams left on our schedule is 9-17. Harrison being the only team with .500 record, but they are about to run the gauntlet of the top 4 teams in the Region.

Besides how Harrison fares, the most significant game remaining to shape the playoff seeds in R5 is Woodstock/EP at the end. This game will go a long way to determining the 2 thru 4 seeds. I will have to see how the tie-breaker procedure works for Region 5 to decide who I need to pull for in that game.

Don’t get me wrong, there is still a lot of football to play for R5. If anyone (Etowah included) in the top 4 of R5 is looking past Harrison, then they will get beat… and I predict that Harrison will win one that they’re not supposed to as the “spoiler”.

slalom1 If Lowndes was the second seed from region1 and Newnan 1st seed from their region, they would host, so I’ve been told. But there’s a lot of football to be played between now and then. Lowndes probably will finish 2nd in Region 1, and travel to Camden in week two of the playoffs, if they can beat the 3rd place team they’ll be facing in the 1st round. Most likely NSWR will finish number 1 in our region, and be in the 1/4 bracket with the Region 7 winner. Newnan and Greyson should also be in the same 1/4 final bracket. The region 6 winner will be in the same 1/4 final bracket as the winner of region 2. But Colquitt should be in that bracket too, and believe me, they could shake things up.

On another note, I heard a key member of Greyson’s line has gone down to a season ending injury. How will that affect Greyson overall, does anyone have an opinion?

Hi there SportsFan31313 Man! I remember one time when Valdosta was beating Lowndes by 35 points and Nick Hyder called a time out with a minute to go in the 4th quarter inside our 10 yd line, to set up some plays to score again. And they did! We finally got even in a big way. As ENR says, we violated them. As another poster said, we “Valdosta’ed them!”

P Ridge will beat North Gwinnett, who becomes region 7’s 2nd seed. Region 7 seed 2 plays Newnan second round, then winner of Lowndes/camden in quarters, then grayson in semi’s. Oh well, maybe next year, N Gwinnett?

AVikingFan I agree with you about Colquit. Except for the travel I think they get the easiest matchups of any 1AAAAA team should they end up third in the region. It would not surprise me to see them make the semis. Their draw back will be the continual 3 plus hour trips to where ever each week of the playoffs. They could enter the playoffs with only 2 losses and if so I am sure they would love to see an upset by a team with more losses than them to give them a week to stay home should this all come about.

What folks in Hotlanta don’t understand is that when the S.Ga. teams have to hit the road in the playoffs….we go a long way and the lower seeded teams go a long way “every week”. No cross town rides for us or region 3.

Potential Colquit travels
1st round – Region 4 (3 plus hour drive)
2nd round – Region 2 (Decalb – 3 to 4 hour drive)
3rd round – Top seeds from other bracket Region 6 or 8 (4 to 5 hour drive)
4th round – Northside or North Gwinnett (2 plus hours to 5 hours drive)
The Dome – (3 to 4 hour drive)

That my friends more than the competition was what caused poor performances by Coffee and Tift last year in the playoffs in the games that they lost. That kind of back to back to back travel to play a team that eventually ended up in the Semi Finals is tough to do.

Pridge Senior my playoff format shows loser of Ptree/NG going to McEachern in the 2nd round then probably taking on the winner of Camden/Lowndes. Kind of makes winning that game all the more important doesn’t it? The #1 seed in your region will have a much easier time in the playoffs than the #2. Not unlike our region.

On the other hand, Poor McEachern finishing #1 in their region might want to rethink it. LOL

They are looking at having Camden, Lowndes, and the loser of PTree/NG
in their bracket. Fortunately they would only have to play 2 of them.
They also have a pretty tough matchup in that they will get the #4 seed of Region 8 in the first round.

Newnan and McEachern get the toughest first round matchups. IMO

we are more talented THIS year than last year. most people at north didnt think mikey tamburo was even amazing. cj uzomah is much better. and the way you guys make it seem like you lost absolutly nobody last year either. i think we beat yall in a close game. and its an important game because whoever loses has a tough road ahead. either team can win all those games, but its way easier from the #1 seed.

Pridge-You guys Have played all the weak teams in the region. While
you may beat Norcross and Collins Hill they might cause some injuries
by the time you play NG.WE were missing 6 Starters playing Mill Creek
and 3 defense starters in the last game.We are tough in the 4th Quarter
so if Pridge is behind you will loose. The only game that has been close is with Prattville.I Watched CJ carry three Norcross players 20
yards on his back and he is hard to take down.North also has a new O-line Transfer from Flordia that is over 300 pounds and very good learning our plays right now. That makes 3 big boys up front and a nice Run option inside the 20.Lowndes showed Peachtree Ridge is the one really OVERRATED.

Wolverine2Blazer – I wasn’t ready to bring it up…but…if EP beats you the last game, and we all end in a thre way tie with two losses, a feasable scenario, how is the seeding broken down then? Does anybody know?

Wolverine2Blazer – Pops beat me to it… IF (and still a big IF with some much football to play), but IF Woodstock, Etowah, and EP win out until the final game AND if EP beats Woodstock at the end, then there is a 3-way tie for second place. I have perused the GHSA site regarding a tie-breaker and it is confusing, but there is a provision that defaults to the Region first. In the end, not sure how a Region 5 tiebreaker would work. Todd?

To be clear, head-to-head records and region play won’t work in this 3-way tie since Woodstock beat Etowah, Etowah beat EP, and if EP beats Woodstock… and all three were beat by McEachern.

Pops – I agree the layoff could hurt after such a big win over EP, but at the same time it may help as Etowah came down off the emotional high… and now with the extra week they have had time to recover back to an even keel. Also, this week is Homecoming so that should add little extra motivation and emotion to the players and crowd. I expect Stewart also has them focusing on one game at a time… with the end goal of winning out the regular season which is very feasible.

NTH Trojans

October 14th, 2009

Slalom,
Thanks for the vote of confidence for Hiram, those young men have certainly earned it. Hirams’ biggest test will come on Oct. 23, when they face Hillgrove. Both teams match-up well against each other, but Hiram has been turning the ball over too much as of late. If they do that against Hillgrove, they can’t win. Hiram needs to play its best against Hillgrove. I expect a close game, with the outcome being determined by the team that commits the fewest turnovers and penalties.
Now for North Hall. I said last week that NH would beat Flowery Branch, and they did 37-34. NH had to come back after being down 34-22 entering the 4th quarter. FB missed a field goal at the end to send the game into OT.

Todd Holcomb,
Last week I asked you about the chances of North Hall returning to the top ten if they beat Flowery Branch, and you said “My problem w/ the Trojans isn’t who beat them, but how badly they beat them. I’d like to think a Top 10 team in AAA would hang close to one or the other (Buford, Gainesville) and not get blown out both times (for the second straight year, I might add).” That’s your exact words from last week, and I have no problem with that, except for two things.
1) if getting blown out takes you out of the rankings, then why is Peachtree Ridge still in the AAAAA rankings after their blowout loss to Lowndes earlier this season? They haven’t played anyone since then to justify being ranked in the top ten, while North Hall has beaten TWO teams that you had ranked in the top ten when NH played them and beat them, Creekview 55-21, and Flowery Branch 37-34. The only difference in PRidge and NH is at least NH has beaten quality teams to earn a shot at being considered for the Top 10, where PRidge has one qualification to be in Todds’ Top 10, be a Gwinnett County school.
2) Name ten AAA teams that would have beaten Gainesville or Buford, or played them close for that matter. My list stops after 3 or 4. What about yours. How many teams in AAA would be 2-2 after playing 4 Top 10 teams?
My only problem with what you said is not that North Hall is not ranked, but that you have 2 different requirements to be ranked. One for Gwinnett County, and one for everyone else.

I sure hope the Peachtree Ridge team is not over looking Collins Hill.

Only one of those two teams has had over 50 points run up on them. Only one of those two teams has figured a way to win every game they have been in this year. Only one of those teams lost to the only decent competition they faced.

The hubris at Peachtree Ridge already resulted in one humiliating loss. Watch out, or the cubs may just have 3 losses a few weeks from now.

The cubbies should consider themselves fortunate that both Collins Hill and North will be home games for them. But you can expect very large fan attendance from both Suwanee visiting teams.

The game against Collins Hill is hardly “in the bag”.
