To ENR, Thank you and everyone else for not doging Coffe out on the board. Tonight we will play a game we can not win. But we WILL meet you at mid feild none the less. Best of luck to ALL the fans of a truly great sport.
On another note I would like to say what good sportsmanship Lowndes showed last friday afer their loss to a really well coached Northside team. Look for Northside to be the #1 seed this year.

This is my first post this year, but I waited for a great moment to do so. It is hard stomaching that loss of Lowndes’ last week considering all that they had going. However, Lowndes fans’ have to remember that a true winner learns from the mistakes and hopefully, how to come out swinging and not show up deflated. All we can hope for is that every one of those kids saw how vulnerable they were and tonight’s game will be the litmus test of their will and hunger for another state title.
I have always known that Northside has had a great team, but I was most impressed with the sportsmanship they showed to us last week. Unfortunately, some of Lowndes’ fans can be obnoxious, (Not that we didn’t run into some of Northside’s finest on the way out), but another Northside fan actually apologized for the way the others were acting. Their band even held up signs that welcomed the Bridgemen. After the game, there were plenty of handshakes between the teams and even with the bitterness of the referees, clock management, and the loss in general, it was a class act by Northside. The games and players like that help make high school football in Georgia great. Hopefully, we will catch them in the playoffs or next year at the Palace.
As for tonight’s game, Valdosta has the swagger of Miami. The confidence level of all the Wildcats I have spoke to and got a little smack from today echo that. They are the winningest and they know it. Lowndes learned from the best on how to build and maintain confidence as well. So, to hammer my point down, Lowndes and Valdosta will be a war tonight. EagleNationRising is correct in predicting that. The “upset alert” should be going for any team. If you are at the top, there is always a target on your back. Sometimes, you have to be hit to be reminded it is there. See: October 2nd, 2009.
It will be hard to win in that stadium though. Lowndes’ is tough to beat there. I’m going with Lowndes by a touchdown.

The Broncos webcast their games. They have good announcers, instant replay, etc. It is a good deal. Maybe a Bronco fan could tell you more about it.

Should be a great game. Hopefully Grayson dominates but if it is upset, I would not be surprised. Brookwood will be hyped for this game.

quinn,
not only would i like to see that game but id have PTR winning it.
ptr and NG are just as good as the Lowndes and Nside. if they came up to suwanee they would lose too. and now we got fans sayin whenever a team gets beat bad they got ptree ridged. it would be Northsided or lowndes if they had to come up to suwanee. and decatur where its greater please your teams coaching is horrendous. great athletes dont make great teams. theres this intangible thing call discipline… ever heard of it

The NG brookwood game was 41-13 and 7 of those were at the end with our jv players in and i think we had a running clock going.grayson will shut down any offense for brookwood and it will be a beatdown.

Suwanee 0wnz – No politics on the board. Also we don’t have the $1M prize money to fork over to a winner. Or the gold medal. Or the trip to Oslo. Or the actual prize itself. Or anything, really.

AJC. Was that politics? I thought it was humour. Maybe I was too subtle.
Obviously the AJC doesn’t even have money for the paper for a Gwinnett section anymore. Nobody is asking the AJC to make a contribution. Instead we can stand up and give ENR a great big Bronx cheer from all of us. He’s earned it!
Instead of a trip to Scandinavia I am hoping for a lucky coin flip so that NSWR wins the trip to the great North of Suwanee in the quarterfinals. I believe there is a prize waiting here for ENR.
The playoffs could be very fun this year. Much as I am hoping for Collins Hill or North as the 7AAAAA champion, it really would not bother me to see Peachtree Ridge put the beatdown on Northside in the quarterfinals. Believe me, none of these 3 teams will miss that field goal. We have kids who have been kicking soccer balls through the posts since they were 2. Sometimes justice has a way of working itself out.

Hey Atlanta Journal and Constitution can our Stephenson Jaguars get some of the press that they so deserve. Come on stop passing us up every friday. Watch what we do tonight. And every night that we are on the field. We promise to keep impressing. Check out all of our players. I think a few have been over looked. I think that our stats were the best in the state when we played Ware County. But we didn’t get any mentions. (Defensive player of week, offensive player of week). We’ve been doing the same thing every week.

Lowndes County 17, Valdosta 0 HALFTIME
If anyone on this board can confirm that the Coaching Search Committee is in place at Valdosta High School, please let us know. If the Wildcats lose tonight, the Black and Gold fall to 1-3 in the Region. For all of the chatter about Valdosta having an opportunity to beat Northside, someone should point out that Warner Robins should have beat Valdosta. That would place the Wildcats at 0-3 in the region.
It appears that my “Upset Alert” should not have been directed to the Vikings. Lowndes County appears to be making an example out of Valdosta. One question: Is the quarterback playing for Valdosta or is the back-up in?
