Murphy, no one in this state can refute that talent rests in programs like Stephenson and SW DeKalb. I am just one who thinks that Stephenson should play more difficult competition. It is a shame that Stephenson or SW DeKalb does not play a power outside of DeKalb County. That is just my opinion. Stephenson has equal or better talent than programs like Lowndes County, Northside-Warner Robins, and Camden County every year.

I agree, if the Jonesboros and the Woodstocks (i know they “may not” be dekalb county schools) leave atlanta to play QUALITY teams, why can’t the upper level powers?? I would love to see say a MLK vs Newnan matchup. Why wait until the playoffs??

EagleNationRising, I actually agree with you. I understand teams having to play teams in their region, but not sure why they don’t step out of their local areas until playoff time. I do not know how the schedules are made but I think it would make it more interesting if it was mixed up a bit. I don’t think any of the big power houses have really been challenged to date this season.
