K-man why u against Mays, They are not as bad as u make them out to be. I’m a Washington fan, don’t really like Mays but i can honestly say they have a nice team. So stop hating. I saw the game aginst Whitewater and thought they came out a little flat in the first half but picked it up when it counted.

Lowndes wins by 30 tonite in Moultire!!! Valdosta wins a close hard fought game tonite by 6. Winnersvile/Titletown is represented well by Georgia’s finest programs.

You were right about that big old FB at HoCo. He was a load. I won’t critique your logic too much. Don’t know if you know or not but Coffee played last night and came out on top 16 – 2. The field was a mess. Standing water everywhere. Coffee rotated three QB’s the first three games but stuck with the big senior last night. He’s pretty much a load too. Made a big difference staying with one leader.The Trojan defensive line was outstanding. Hit hard and locked down. Still a long way to go but just maybe the Trojans will pull down a seed this year too. May be wishful thinking with all the young players. But,,, just maybe. Looking forward to following the action tonight. Good luck and safe fields to you and yours.

WASHINGTON HIGH FAN—-your comments to me goes to show that YOU ALSO DONT know nothing about good high school football either! You have Pretenders @ Contenders…All I said is that MAYS is Pretending now! Everybody knows that A good strong team comes out to play for 4 quarters…(not just the end of the game) They are playing like they practice…(undisciplined)…and belive me…thats the DIFFERENCE between GOOD teams @ MEDIOCORE teams!

Talked to the AJC’s Michael Carvell earlier this afternoon. He was on his way to the S. Gwinnett-Grayson game. As usual, he’ll do his best to jump in here and chat, post scores, game highlights and updates, etc., later on.
Washington high fan – Chip Saye of The Georgia High School Football Daily staff does our weekend predictions now so if he said Grady will beat Washington, that’s all him. Too many BTW alums sitting right around us at the Sports desk for us to say anything during HSFB season except “Go Bulldogs.” (They’re BIG guys!)

OK, we’ve got the Mt. Zion-J’boro – Griffin game on Ch. 45 (CSS) and we’re just asking… WHERE IS MT. ZION-JONESBORO? Folks, your side of the stands in Griffin are about empty. And we see wide swaths of seating open on the Bears side, too, which is NOT how we remember Griffin football from back in our day. (Admittedly, it wasn’t yesterday, but it wasn’t that long ago, either.)
We’re native Southsiders ourselves here, a bunch of us at AJC, and we’re asking y’all to please represent.
FYI, former Griffin standout hoopster Darrin Hancock’s son (#5) is on the field, wearing the old green ‘n’ yellow.

Ok, YoMomma – When we said “Where is Mt. Zion-Jonesboro?” we didn’t mean we don’t know where it is geographically. We meant WHERE are they at Griffin tonight to show the love for their Bulldogs?
Bad news, People of the AJC Free For All Forum: Michael Carvell just texted to say he can’t get wi-fi to log in and chat on the blog but he’s at S. Gwinnett-Grayson and says make sure you check the scoreboard link we have posted to keep up with the score. Also says he’s sorry he can’t hang out and chat tonight. He likes talking with y’all.
ETA: Hines Ward did indeed go to Forest Park High. And the wikipedia Clayton Co. Public Schools site says Mt. Zion opened in 1989 but your AJC Sports blog moderator went to Morrow in ‘89 (I know, the Mustangs have really fallen off) and I swear Mt. Zion was still under construction back then. But it has been a while. Obviously.
