Dacula fumbles the snap on the field goal attempt, but picks it up and runs it in for the TD. Dacula defeats Mill Creek 27-23.

Roswell 42, Tift County 7?!!! Maybe 1AAAAA isn’t so tough when they play AAAAA opponents up here in the North! Did Lowndes really have to play a AAA team to prove themselves?

Beating up on sub-500 AAA teams sure shows toughness-eh? Next week when P-tree Ridge does it to the sore-losers from Lowndes maybe you’ll get your head out of the sand and see the light!

Was at the Mill Creek-Dacula game. Left after Dacula turned ball over on downs around midfield with about 3 min to go & only 1 TO left. Heard about the wild finish. This was one Mill Creek let get away.
Mill Creek led 16 to 0 after a safety & fumbled the free kick, which was the turning point. Dacula recovered & went in to score just before halftime. Very surprised with Norcross & Tift Co. Will take in the Grayson-Warner Robins game next week.

The Forest Park Panthers shutout mundys mills 8-0 the first shutout for the Panthers in over 10yrs. the defense played great only letting the mundys mills tigers cross the 50yd line twice getting a safety and holding them under 100yds total offence. We will have to continue to work on our redzone scoring we turned it over 3 times inside the 20. Each time our defense bailing us out causing a turnover. Our rb #4 ( muscle milk ) rushed for 106yds, losing many yds running out the clock.

Lowndes qback 6 of 7 passing for 106 yards in the first half alone.
Missed first pass then completed the next 6.
Did not play a down in the second half. There is a new addition that has been added to the 300 yards a game Lowndes running attack. Lowndes had about 360 yards of offense in the first half. 60-0 with ten minutes still left in the 3rd quarter. Looking forward to PTree coming on down. Should be a good one.

A little early to tell as of now, but this 2009 version is showing promise of being Lowndes best ever. A very balanced, physical, and fast team with some good size in both the offensive and defensive lines for a change. Good size that is “not” slow of foot. Running backs that can fly. A quarterback with a strong arm yet a very nice touch who can take off and run with success. Receivers with speed who thus far have had very soft hands. Good luck trying to run on the Defensive line and linebackers. More physical up front and in the middle of the defense than last years version. The only way any one will move the ball on Lowndes will have to be through the air provided you have time to throw. Lots of pressure on the qbacks thus far in the season.

Ican’t wait to see lowndes and valdosta bump heads its gonna be a he- – of a game. AJC if u wanna talk football keep ur nose in valdosta instead of the creampuffs up there.

the Marietta Blue Devils continue to have the world’s most boring offense. Coaching has been a sour subject here for the past few years…and really hit rock bottom last year when we had a run the ball, spike the ball, incomplete pass, then TIMEOUT sequence.
the opener today (team using the same staff) saw maybe 3 different types of pass plays. It is pathetic watching this team. There is plenty of talent, and the opponent…North Cobb…was just as small as Marietta.
The game should have been close, but the Warriors ran away with it. Marietta would not have gained a yard all night if it weren’t for the ultra talented Greg Franklin toting the rock.
I miss the glory days…and I say this with the love of Marietta Blue Devil football, but they are PATHETIC! …and, I really do not blame the players. The offense can only be so good under such a bland and shallow system.

Should be an exciting year for 1AAAAA, Lowndes, Warner Robins, Valdosta and Northside looked impressive against their cream puff openers. Next week will tell some better stories about Lowndes, Warner Robins and Northside (although Northside will still be playing AAA teams) it will be a few weeks before Valdosta sees a real game. I’m not sure why there are so many non 5A games scheduled, it really doesn’t make your team look good beating up 1A, 2A or 3A teams. Good luck to the SEC of Georgia HS football.

And how many state champs does 1AAAAA have Hagar? And your region?
State champs is what determines look good. So how does your region look? When your winning state championships you don’t have to worry about look good. Look good is for wimps. Being good is for state champ regions.

Lowndes defense.
Ed Christian/Defensive Tackle..commited FSU.
Jordan Black/Defensive Tackle…According to Scout interest from 7 Div 1 schools.
Michael Copeland/Defensive End…A lot of Div 1 offers.
Dion Chrenshaw/Defensive Tackle…6′2″ 260.
Telvin Smith/Linebacker…committed to FSU.
Robert Anderson/Linebacker…some Div 1 interest.
Tyler Hunter/Safety…considerable Div 1 interest…Junior
That is what you are going to have to come through to get to Lowndes secondary.

Its funny how South Georgia Teams get all ecxited about beating the crap out of easy teams. Yall get the easiest schedules. We would all be like yall if we played the teams yall play. Thats exactly why lowndes lost to Grayson last year, Cause it was their only real challenge

Peachtree welcome back to the concrete jungle where North ga dreams are crushed. There is nothing over rated about a very powerful region 1 AAAAA. It is what it iS.The persons that make those staements don’t have walking around sense.I’m not saying peachtree can’t win at Lowndes but i am saying they won’t playing the same team as last years. This team is better much Better! Remember these Names : Cole Parker,Khari Franklin,Ed Christian,Tyler Hunter .See ya next week, i will be on the visators 40 yard line. Can somebody show my Vikings a little LOVE?

the truth will be revealed as the season moves on. the reason 1 aaaaa schedule the “seemingly weak” non region teams is because within the region is Northside Warner robins winners of multiple state championships and good this year i believe…Valdosta..Tift. Lowndes.Coffee Warner robins, who has a history of wining championships. and Houston county. it is called smart scheduling so that you dont kill your players before region play begins. Nevertheless, region 1aaaaa has scheduled tough teams from the north. We lost some and won some.

I have to respond to Overrated South’s comment. Guy when u play weak teams u r suppose to beat them like they r a week team and thats what lowndes and valdosta did. What regeion do u come out of guy? I got a prediction for next week peachtree ridge fans LOWNDES 42 PEACHTREE RIDGE 10 welll thats if the coach feel sorry for u and don;t let lowndes run up the score. By the way lowndes 1st tean didn’t play the second half and they still put up 75 points same goes fo valdosta and they put up 42 bc their coach doesn;t beleive in running up0 the score holla back

The reason why we have to play teams from smaller schools is all of your coaches and teams are too scared of 1 AAAAA. Put up or hush. When
1 AAAAA does the schedules for next year, have your coaches call any of the 1 AAAAA schools and schedule a game. If you are better, then we will appreciate the challenge. This will settle it like it should be, on the field and not your baseless banter!
