I wonder how Zander would feel about a switch to safety? I love the fact that he’s a tackling machine but at 5′11″, I’m just afraid that he could get swallowed by OL’s blocking downfield.

Im friends with both of the brothers and have watched them play for many years. Zander is definitely more outgoing, but Alec is by no means “shy”.They are both great guys and neither of them have academic or behavioral issues, Zander is even the class vice president. On the football field both of these kids are total beasts. All of yall have it right on the dot Zander is exactly like Rennie Curran and is such a great vocal leader. Alec, well his presence just effects the game he really is that good. He is a big scary guy that can just murder somebody and almost never misses tackles. They are both great and Zander should be just as high of a prospect as Alec and believe me both of them will be outstanding college football players.

Cmr let’s close this deal quick! You’re the states top school, with two top talents, and a mother that wants to see them play together, Uga has enuff talent to take them through 2011, so lets make it happen and keep this engine rolling.Get this kid and his brother, because we know A.J. is gone after his junior year, and we need some one to come in and take his place. Plus that other “little Linebacker you have seems to be working out just fine, so I’m sure this one with speed will be alright at LB or SS. CLICK-CLACK!

Hey Michael, 2nd to Fla means Alabama was higher than the other 10 SEC teams, right? McElroy will be a better QB than JPW, Richardson a better RB than Coffee, Julio a better WR than he was his freshman year, and the defense will be immoveable.

come on UGA, don’t be stupid again, remember the last time you passed on a pair of brothers(brinkley’s), they haunted us for 4 years. If the one brother is that good, then go ahead and offer the twin too. It’s not like there aren’t wasted scholarships every year, plus how many 5′11″ linebackers have we had the past 5 years that have been excellent.

Any college team can’t have enough speedy linebackers who are “sure tacklers” in the open field. They are extremely valuable, as you may have seen in the Georgia/Georgia Tech game with all-world Reshad Jones missing easy tackles in the open field against Roddy Jones and Jonathan Dwyer, wounding Georgia beyond repair in the third quarter.

We should offer both these kids we screwed up when we didnt offer both the Brinkley kids at Thomson HS a few years ago both would have come to UGA in a heartbeat.Twins want to play with each other- my coaching friends tell me that both can play at the D-1 level.

Hey Micheal,

I’ve watched these kids from a distance, and Zander is technically the better football player. Alec has the size that all schools want, but Zander is a player. I guess “Sorry” and “Joey Porter” don’t like dreads, but if we are talking football, Zander is a D-1 material, he’s just like Curran at UGA. Remember these boys still have 1 year left in high school, so they both will get bigger.

Taking talented twins (emphasis:talented) is never a bad idea as they can push each other and help each other when things get a little tough. I wouldn’t just take one for the sake of getting the other if BOTH don’t have a realistic opportunity to develop and play at that level, but twins with the right attitude can really add to the chemistry of a team. Prime example would be the Pouncey twins at Florida.

The people in Newnan, Ga., will tell you that mega-prospect Alec Ogletree is good, but Zander is really, really good. From my evaluation from Zander on film, he is a tackling machine. He just doesn’t miss in the open field. Count on it. The entire Newnan defense, including his brother, feeds off his energy and leadership. I predict a lot of colleges that are serious about Alec will get serious about Zander very quickly. I predict any college that really wants in on the sweepstakes for Alec will move swiftly. It’s one thing to “take” one average player to get one great one. The difference here is that Alec is not average, he’s really, really good, in my evaluation. Zander is easily one of the state’s top linebacker prospects.
