Lee Jacsksonville Florida who is being recruited by every one in the USA along with his close buddy D J Holmes 6′1″ 275 OT/DT from FAMU High in Tallahassee Florida the next few years looks so bright for the bulldogs.
Buzz, needs a reality check. Mouthing off after just one victory and loves to point out our losses but what about yours. You did go 9-4 while we went 10-3. And GT didn't suffer the injuries we did. See you in November. I know you won't answer my questions because BUZZ is full of it.

Buzz,

Better yet, you can watch the G-Day game on ESPN. Yeah we get that kind of coverage regardless if we get blowed out or not. Yes we got caught up in the hype of both those games, but we didn't make any excuses for losing those games. The second tech loses every body turns on them. Bandwagon fans.

P.S. Did I touch a nerve?

How many of you played and/or playing for TN, GA, or GT? Thats what I thought. And judging by the comments, and whats being said, I doubt if most of you have gone to any of the universities mentioned as a student or fan. Can't we all agree that SEC and ACC football is the best around, and enjoy the games without the BS....its about SEC pride.
GO GATORS!!!!!!

Great recruit. A DE that is 6'5", 250lbs., 4.6 speed puts him physically among the top DE prospects in the country. With his head and heart already with the Dawgs for years, he seems to have great potential. Certainly the kind of recruit that will stay with his commitment thru signing day. Another solid recruiting job by Richt and team.

Overcompensation,

You sure do talk loud over the internet.

I am going to the G-Day game April 11th but will not open a can until after the game and outside the stadium. I date a girl from there and I bet she could probably kick your azz and a few of your bandmates. More than likely, I will be wearing black and gold and an old GT Baseball hat.

Buzz, you should come to G-Day on April 11. Admission is free, so you don't have to ask your mom for an advance on your allowance. Come out to Athens and say it to me and my friends' face. Unless your stinger falls off and you forget the way. But Techies know the way to Athens for sure, thats where they all go each weekend to find actual hot girls, cause you know all the girls at Tech look like their faces caught on fire and they tried to put them out with a fork. I will make sure to find you at this years game, right after we break every one of your players and rock your weak a$$ "stadium" to the ground. Grow a pair and bring what you got, me and my Dawgs will be ready.

Dalton,

I wish jalen Fields all the best as well. But tell me Mr Carpet installer, what were you focused on last year in the Florida game? I couldn't even enjoy the Tech game that day because your (or should I say Florida's) score kept changing over head like a pin ball machine. LOL, Nice focus in the Alabama game as well. Last time I checked, Bama beat you 31-0 befoire they put the practice squad in. Rest assured, with no off week advantage this year, we will beat you again. YOU, can count on it.

First of all, congrads to Jalen Fields. I know him personally and I watch him on Friday nights at Dalton Football games. He will be a great addition to UGA football.

Now for the knuckleheads that's clinging to the fact that GT did beat UGA last year 45-42, big deal we will be at Bobby Dodd this season and we will see if Tech will be consistent or living off the high from last year's game.

And as I said before, at least we beat LSU. UGA 52 LSU 38. LSU 38 GT 3.

No focus in that game whatsoever. Tech was still dreaming about beating UGA. LOL. Next time focus on every game you play.

IN YOUR OWN BACK YARD!!!!!!!!!! tore your number one in the nation, junk yard dawg azzzes UP between the hedges, in YOUR own yard, being down by TWO touchdowns at the half, in front of 90 thousand faithful and 50 million television viewers around the world. WITH all those five star recruits that can't spell Calculus againts all of our two star recruits who PASS it. No, my friend, the tables have been turned. Not only do we own you in the business world, we NOW own your ugly, mangy, flea ridden hairy azzzes BETWEEN THE LINES now TOO. Better get (AND STAY) on the equestrian and gymnastic boards where you can beat us 45-42. "Well it wont happen again, bank on it". How original. LOL.

Where are you Daddydawg? Still trying to use Shakespeare to solve your math equations? LOL. 45-42, whipped the junk yard dawgs between the hedges, in their own yard, down by 2 touchdowns at the half, in front of 90,000 faithful and 50,000,000 on television and satellite. All those years of out recruiting us didn't mean squat did it Daddydawg? LOL. Number 1 in the nation my azzzz. LOL. 45-42, will be worse next year at our house. I guarantee it.

I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech, and a hell of an Engineer
A Helluva, Helluva, Helluva, Helluva, Helluva Engineer
Like all the jolly good fellows, I drink my whiskey clear.
I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an Engineer.

Oh, if I had a daughter, sir, I'd dress her in white and gold,
And put her on the campus To cheer the brave and bold.
But if I had a son, sir, I'll tell you what he'd do--
He'd yell: 'TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!' Like his daddy used to do.

Oh, I wish I had a barrel of rum, and Sugar three thousand pounds
A college bell to put it in, And a clapper to stir it round.
I'd drink to all the good fellows, who come from far and near.
I'm a Ramblin', Gamblin', HELL OF AN ENGINEER!

There are more than a few of us who think it's unusual for Mark Richt to limit his recruiting to black athletes. It's not as if you can't win with white players. Utah didn't a pretty good job against Alabama.

Great choice Jalen, looking forward to seeing you on football Saturdays. Now you can concentrate on what is important, grades and winning that championship for your High School. Have fun, you only get one Senior year of High School and it is the best of all.

The only thing that would give me pause is when the kid said he really likes Coach O. Maybe it's just me getting old...or maybe it's just cool nowadays to have a fondness for "classless vulgar punk." I'm not saying that about the kid because he made a wiser final decision...but that kind of idiotic low class bombastic behaivor seems to be appealing to a lot of these recruits today. An indication of the state of our society???

I am starting to wonder if some of these bloggers realize that the 1950’s are behind us. After that, I actually wonder if some of the bloggers are middle school students expressing their sarcasm as a means of dealing with inferiorities. The truth is that many of these comments have a racial overtone, an elitist undertone, and are based on ignorance. Do you really believe talking trash makes an impression on other? Your right, most think you are a clueless idiot. No, you don’t seem cool. You seem like a desperate buffoon. In terms of Jalen Fields, I am very excited about this young man. 6’5 245 pass rusher is exactly what UGA has been needing. I talked to a cousin of mine and he told me that the young man is a great kid too. Welcome to the Bulldog family. Jalen let me encourage you to avoid all the negative comments. You will always hear childish morons making insinuations about the quality of students that UGA recruits. The truth is that these clowns are spewing recruiting propaganda. You will learn that grades and test scores are confidential and not accessible to the general public. Yes, those people are haters. They will tell you that UGA places kids in JUCO and prep schools. The truth is that is very rare. Yes, Coach Richt believes in giving every kid a chance no matter his socioeconomic status. Some struggling kids need another year at a prep school to get ready for college. To me, that is a sign of a good Christian man. To make fun of children, reveals a lack of character. Sadly, most of the modern culture is based on the lack of empathy for others. That is so sad to me. We wonder why our country is in such a mess. That is not cool, rather it is a psychopathic tendencies. I continue to wonder why the AJC continues to promote UT. There were other schools that offered this young man, but the AJC wants to fuel the flames of gossip between the two schools. Did Randy Shannnon make any recruiting allegations when the Brown kid signed with UT? No, he has class. He doesn’t pout like a child that doesn’t get his way. Go DAWGS.

What is up with the headline to the story? It is stuff like that that inflames the trolls from other schools. I really enjoy good conversations and a decent argument, but headlines like this one bring in too much negativity, which in turn brings out the worst fans from all sides. Stuff like this makes it less enjoyable for me to read simply because I have to search for anything worth reading through all the BS posts.

This article is about a commitment from a upcoming senior in High School and half of the comments (or more) don't even relate to the topic. Just the same old crap that opposing idiots spew every single day.

Ok, rant off...

Getting a little defensive there aren't you Gen? I think your beef may be more with the headline writer than the story. I know how you feel. The AJC borrows headline writers from the STAR. As for slow news on a Saturday, thank God, NO ARRESTS! Did Richt chain up all the Mo-Peds?

If only 10-20% of the recruits were black and the majority white, you KNOW the kinds of stories you would hear about racism. When any group is so massively over-represented you will get questions. What I notice is that the question never gets answered. Instead it is buried with cries of Racism, Racism, Racism. It gets old folks.

Fields, you made a huge mistake committing to UGA. If you wanted to stay in state, Tech would have been a much better choice. Better education, better Tickle Piles plus we beat their butts.

Hey SECfootball fan, i am sure you are the voice of every recruit out there by saying you would rather play for an expereinced coach like Richt instead of a brat like Kiffin. Then somthing must be incorrect if this brat can recruit the #1 player in the nation as well as a top 10 class with less than a month as a staff to recruit.
I think if I was a recruit, I would ask why would I go play for a coach that is complacent with his assistants and wont get the best coaching for his players. Why would I want to play for sub par coordinators like Bobo or Martinez? What is funny is no GA fan will admit the parallel between Richt and Fulmer now. Both are too loyal to a fault and look where it got Fulmer.

I'm a Georgia fan, and I'd just like to say that the comments posted in here by fans of all schools are starting to reach new lows. I'd say it'd be a pretty small percentage of the folks posting in here who ever played a down of college football, so all this "we kicked your butt" stuff is ridiculous. Everybody has chinks in their armour. Give it a rest. You can support your team in here without sounding like the bloods and crips.

It's amazing how so many non UT fans have fallen for what Kiffin is about. He wants you to hate him. He has stepped into the SEC and slapped the biggest bully out there (UF). In the mean time the Vols are talked about constantly in the media (good and bad). Wow, it really is interesting. I will agree he'll have to back it up this Fall. But the question everyone hates to answer is if the Vols have some key wins and Kiffin comes out smelling like a rose will non Vol fans give him respect?

[...] Mark Richt gets first commitment for Georgia’s 2010 football recruiting class | Inside College... Mark Richt gets first commitment for Georgia’s 2010 football recruiting class Georgia finally got its first commitment for 2010 when Dalton defensive end Jalen Fields committed to the Bulldogs during UGA’s Junior Day on Saturday. “I told [Mark Richt] and he was hugging me and my family,” Fields told the AJC. “Georgia is the place I want to be. I believe in [Richt} and Georgia. Coach Richt has already done so many great things at Georgia. I'm a hometown guy, so there was no need for me to look around anywhere else. Georgia is where I want to be, and it's an honor to be the first [commitment] for next year.” The 6-foot-5, 245-pound Fields picked UGA among seven offers, including Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida State. Had Fields waited longer, he was expected to double or triple his scholarship offers. “I like ‘Coach O’ a lot [Tennessee recruiting coordinator Ed Orgeron], but Georgia was my first offer and my first love,” Fields said. “I’m happy with Georgia, my family is happy with Georgia. That’s where I want to be, and I’m finished with my recruiting. I’m glad to get it over with. Georgia is my dream school. Now I can focus on Dalton football and helping us be the best team we can be.” Fields, who is a junior, had told the AJC on that chances were high that he would give the Bulldogs an early pledge, and Fields delivered on his word on Saturday. “It’s great to be a Georgia Bulldog. It doesn’t get any better than this.” The first commitment for Georgia Tech’s 2010 recruiting class was Collins Hill tailback Charles Perkins. [...]

Gen Neyland,

That's a laugh. Why don't you tell the vols NOT to offer Jason Fields a Scholarship, if you think it is too early to be recruiting for next February ?

That's why the vols, by the way, have continued to be out-recruited by the UGA Bulldogs - you waited too long to get involved.

7 Consecutive Years and Counting now, UGA has been ranked BETTER than the volmits in the Final AP Poll.

And, we out-recruited you again this year according to every sigle solitary recruiting service.

Now, we are ahead of you in recruiting for February.

When do you suggest that we start recruiting for February 2010 Signing Date Gen Neyland ?
