Buzz and fuzz, your team disgraced your school, your state, and the ACC on national TV in the Chicken Bowl and you are bragging about a 3 point win over UGA? You Tech folks are supposed to be so bright. How bout taking a course in winning with class? Meanwhile, after what you guys did in the Chicken Bowl, you should lay low. Bragging about a 3 point win over UGA simply shows you are not accustomed to winning. I hope you realize we could have beaten you by 60 points if we wanted to. Instead we let ya have 3 points and only beat you by 35. I don't brag about it cause beating anyone from the ACC isn't much to brag about. LSU knows how to win with class, you should learn from that.

DaddyDawg,

Shakespeare? Shakespeare? LOL Newton or Ramanujan maybe, but Shakespeare? I have no idea what kind of a mathematician “Shakespeare did make”. LOL. LOL……………………LOL. Here's some math even you can understand. We have won 1 game in 1 year and come November we will have won 2 games in 2 years. Let me know if you need me to break that down any more for you. In the world of engineering, you better stick to steering trains.

I have several degrees, but I don't have to have any to say that winning 1 game in 8 years a football program does not make. You don't need to be a Shakespeare to understand that point. But then GT made it clear when it went a few miles from campus for its bowl game and got blitzed. What an embarrassment for a purported major football program. Oh, and GA ended up higher ranked, again, than GT in both polls despite the close loss to Tech. Tech deserved to win the '08 game, but their fans' imbecilic actions, such as yours on a blog about a GA topic, prove you have no class, if not intelligence. In a war of wits, you are unarmed Buzz!

Scooby Doo will be over soon too dude. LOL.

hard to forget Paul Johnson after he designed an offense Georgia can't stop (only hope to slow us down).

Let's see.......lose the Peach Bowl, beat Georgia between the Hedges, down 2 touch downs at the half, rush for 500 yards, in front of 90,000 Georgia fans, in front of 14 million viewers on national television and satellite, when Georgia was the preseason number one team in the nation, with 4 straight top 5 recruiting classes in a row (lol-lot of good that does you), and the pride and joy of the Atlanta Journal & Constitution..ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...................I’m Ok with that.

LSU Fanatic, i agree that the end of the Stafford era can be a very good thing. So much hype placed on one person can be a detriment to the whole team. As for UF and the east dominance: it's been all about Tebow and his camera hogging ways. They have nobody, and i mean nobody behind him. I have heard folks pray Tebow didn't bolt, due to the experience behind him. Joe Cox has an insurmountable advantage to lift UGA into it's future, and no UGA fan can forget the win over Colorado.

Aparently not. But for everyone else, The Dawg days officially began November 29th 2008
Sicemdawgs.com
Georgia Tech Ends Losing Streak, Runs Over Georgia 45-42
Posted by RSD on 11/29/2008 - Permalink

How will Mark Richt rationalize this loss? Was Georgia Tech and their triple-option offense the better team? Was Georgia’s defense to blame? Or was it the Bulldogs’ special teams again? Either way, the Yellow Jackets ended their 7-game losing streak against UGA by rushing for 409 yards and beating the Bulldogs between the hedges 45-42.

Going into halftime, everything was going Georgia’s way. The Dawgs were cruising behind Matthew Stafford and senior wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi with a 28-12 advantage. But then came the 3rd quarter. The Bulldogs inexplicably kicked the opening kickoff out of bounds, giving the Yellow Jackets the ball at their own 40-yard line. This was the 2nd Georgia kickoff of the game to land out of bounds.

On Tech’s first play, Jonathan Dwyer rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown. The Yellow Jackets scored on their 2-point conversion to cut Georgia’s lead to 28-20. Georgia then gave the ball back after a 3-and-out. On Tech’s next possession, they scored on a 10-play drive, converted the 2-pointer and the game was tied.

On the ensuing kickoff, Georgia’s Richard Samuel fumbled, giving the Yellow Jackets the ball at the Bulldog’s 23 yard line. On the first play, Jonathan Dwyer rushed 23-yards for the touchdown, giving the Yellow Jackets the lead for good.

Georgia’s 3rd loss of the season overshadowed great performances by senior wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi and junior quarterback Matthew Stafford. Massaquoi caught 11 passes for 180 yards and 3 touchdowns. Stafford, possibly playing in his last game at home, completed 24-of-39 passes for 407 yards and 5 touchdowns. In the 1st quarter, Stafford threw an interception that was returned 35 yards for a touchdown by Tech’s Morgan Burnett.

The loss completes Georgia’s 2008 regular season, giving them an overall record of 9-3. In their 3 losses, the Bulldog defense surrendered an average of 45 points per game. Not exactly what you would expect from a Georgia team that was ranked 1st in the pre-season.

Barring some unexpected results in other games, the Georgia Bulldogs should receive an invitation to the Capital One Bowl in Orlando. If invited, they will likely face the Ohio State Buckeyes. The game will be played on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Georgia Tech Ends Losing Streak, Runs Over Georgia 45-42
Posted by RSD on 11/29/2008 – Permalink

ET.

Carvell:

Just wanted you to know that you are doing a great job..... you've certainly improved upon previous college football/recruiting coverage by the AJC.

As for the GT fans who appear here to talk smack, one would think that they would be humble when they've only been able to win 1 game against GA in 8 years, and if you take away the years when GT was using ineligible players, GA's won-loss record against GT since 1990 is beyond embarrasing. The Humble Bumble will never learn.......

Hey BAMA STAN,

I think you need to stay on your own blog. For a while at least. I have smacked down a few big name uga bloggers here today (actually blistered a few), I'm afraid some of them may call in to work sick tomorrow. lol. Not SmyrnaDawg though. But I bet he will be humming our fight song tomorrow while he's standing with the other day laborors at the Quick Trip.

Wish the Tide all the best

31-0 at the half ALMOST trumps 45-42 at the end. Either way it's good to see our teams give the mouthy Georgia fans a little humble pie to eat.

Dawgs will have another 10 win season in 2009!! We have have some great battles against some very good programs - but we will find a way to win games. LSU and Florida appear to be the biggest challanges - but lest focus on OK State!!!!!!

Don't let the negative folks - like the Bama Stan's of the world get your goat. I wish we were playing Bama this year - as they peaked!!!! They lost critical O-Linemen and have a new QB. 2009 will be a reality check and a let down for the Crimson Tide. Look at Saban's history - never been undefeated - and now his team will fall into the 8 to 9 wins a year range.

LSU or Ole Miss will win the west.

Can't wait until kickoff!!

31 - 0 at the half?!!!!

As the flapship university for the State of Georgia - U of Ga will always get a handfull of bluechip prospects in state.

UGA is losing gournd on in state blue-chippers. Bama and LSU are both recruiting more in Georgia - and both making progress. With the Gators dominating - they will attract and get who they want as well. Add GT into the mix - as they are really focussing in State - and obviously have a competent coaching staff as they whipped that UGA A$$ last year - playes see all of this and UGA is being forced to go out of state - which is harder for them as UGA is a regional power - not a national attraction.

So what does this mean??? UGA is a back with the pack!!!....with Auburn, Tennessee and South Carolina in the SEC. And UGA is now no better than FSU, GT or North Carolina. If I am a UGA fan - the question I am asking is how did we let it slip away when we had a chance to dominate the EAST? And what can we do to separate ourselves from the pack - and at least give Florida some competition. 2 wins in 8 years against Florida is not competitive - they own you!!!

ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey SmyrnaDawg:
What is
31-17
51-7
34-17
19-13
14-7
15-12
31-17
?
The number of yards Georgia Tech gained on their first 14 plays of the second half? In YOUR backyard? 45-42 are the only numbers you need to memorize Rafael.

Dogs will be OK recruiting wise - the big name programs will always attract talent.

But the real issue for Georgia is why the program is slipping? Why has Georgia not won the National Title when they seemed prime to do so? Why no SEC East titles during the Stafford ERA? Is it me? - or has your defense played a lot more inconsistent over the last 3 / 4 years. Seem to be great one weekend - then no shows the next. What's up?????

Clearly, Florida, LSU and now Alabama have passed UGA on overall consistency in SEC standings. UGA was primed to dominate the SEC East - and Florida has taken it over. Tennessee and Auburn are just small amounts behind UGA - and maybe closing the gap.

From a SEC West fan perspective - and a LSU fan - I have no beef with UGA. In fact, I root for UGA against my SEC West foes. But we all now consider UGA a better than average team, not a the great program that we feared 4 years ago. Maybe it's best that the Stafford era is over.

Also, I would not have great expectations for UGA this year or next in regards to SEC play. Yes, you will win your share of games - but Cox will not lead you to and SEC title - then the following year, you will have redshirt freshman QB's.

I know - UGA beat us last year in Death Valley. Final score was by 14 points!!!! But let's look at that game - a rebuild year for LSU - and we did not have a QB. Both defenses gave up huge plays - take away the two interceptions for touchdowns and we are tied. But reality was - LSU was rebuild mode - and look how we finished!!!

I am rooting for UGA to be the class program in the SEC East - but I got the feeling that Florida is just way ahead - and will be way a head for some time - and it's as good as it's going to get in Athens unless Coach Richt changes dome things up defensively.

What is 59-39-5? Our winning score next year plus how many more years it will take Georgia’s defense to figure out how to stop the option?

Hey Yellow Belly....How does Marlon Brown sound?....Stephen Hill was way below Marlon on everyone's list although I would love to have him. What about Branden Smith?.....right out of Atlanta....by the way...Mark Richt has more top ten recruiting classes in his tenure in Athens than The North Avenue Trade School has in their history....I love how you counted Stephen Hill as 2-0...ok..he's rated like 6 points lower than Marlon on ESPN and Scouts Inc.

Buddy EI,

Or is it Buddy EI-EIO (lol)

“One in a row ain't much to spout about”.

True, until you understand that 99 players on one sideline actually have to PASS CALCULUS and that 99 players on the other sideline WON’T HAVE TO TAKE IT. That really puts 45-42 in perspective. AND, to know we did it with our “loser” recruiting classes over the last 4 years against your “top five’s”, well…… that makes 45-42 priceless.

Sounds like they need to create a new elective at Georgia for your football players to take. It’s called “Option 101”. Cause you dumb azz’s sure failed the 099 version last year. lol.

I’m a Ramblin’ Wreck from Georgia Tech, and a hell of an Engineer.
A Helluva, Helluva, Helluva, Helluva, Helluva Engineer.
Like all the jolly good fellows, I CAN’T WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR!
I’m a Ramblin’ Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an Engineer.

You’re a mangy hound from Athens, Georgia, and a hell of a dic* licker.
A Helluva, Helluva, Helluva, Helluva, Helluva dirty dawg dic* licker.
Like all your good ole boy buddies, stick 45-42 in your ear!

I dont know how many recruits Tech will have this year, but they better make sure they all know what type of kids they will be hanging around with for the next four years: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_ekugPKqFw

Gosh awmighty! You Georgia fans sure are 'testy' these days!! You had no problem spouting off from your trailer parks the last few years about "x in a row" but now that the tables have turned (GT with a REAL coach and you still with Martinez as your D Coordinator) all of a sudden you become all hot and bothered? Does it hurt that much? How's it feel knowing you'll never win another SEC East title so long as Urban stays in Gainesville? Further more, how's it feel knowing Paul Johnson remains undefeated against his MAJOR RIVAL for 7 straight years and counting!?!?!

When are you stupid Nerds going to understand that winning a game by 3 points after losing 7 years in a row is not a big accomplishment. You put up 45-42 like it was some monumental ass kicking when it was you just barely won.

Get ready for another 7 losses in a row geeks. Bury your heads in World of Warcraft and cry.

Question" If you Tech fans are supposed to be so darn smart, why is every Tech fan who posts on this board so obviously an idiot? Where are you , oh wise Tech grads? I know that you really dont care about football (or women for that matter), but please just post something here so we know that you arent just a myth. Prove to us that Yellow Belly and spankers like him are not the norm on the Flats.

Wow, another pissing match from rival fans. This is not about YOU. This is about US. Every time a rival comes on another rivals conversation and moans about it just show how much you wish you were us. Otherwise, you wouldn't be here. I do believe in rivalries, I just don't think it's necessary to show your rear end every time someone not associated with your affiliation shows up and remarks about everything you wish you were. This is about UGA recruiting, not about Tech, or LSU, or UT, or UF, but UGA. Hiding behind an anonymous handle does not exclude you from being friendly. Everyone mocks coaches for negative recruiting, but negative comments like all the non-UGA fans are just as bad as that. If you aren't going to add something constructive to the board, what's the real point?

First of all, they need to change the deadline for signing day. Currently, it's April 1st.. that's too long. Give the prospects at least after the first week of March.

Ga should be fine.. we'll get what need, eventually.
