Is some moron actually spending time on a computer to talk trash about people who spend time on computers? And "nerds" and "dorks"? What age is the child that writes your material?

Okay, John, I'll give you the 59-38-5 all time. So if you guys win for the next 20 years straight, you'll still be one game behind us. Weak, dude, weak.

Huh? you might want to check bowl records too while you're at it. In spite of Tech's inferiority over the past several years, UGAG's bowl record is only marginally better than Tech's (.600 to .590). Interestingly, both Bama and UT have worse bowl-win percentages than both UGAG and Tech, although each have played in more bowl games than either the mutts or the Jackets.

Are you "people" (and I use that word lightly) still tossing that "nerd" nonsense around? Who writes your material? That's the best you got?

By the way, have any of you ever noticed the types of women that successful men (i.e. Tech grads or "nerds" in your vernacular) hang around with? I'll give you a hint: they're usually smoking hot. Probably not as hot as that cousin you'll have to peel off the pleather sofa when you return to your trailer from a long hard day collecting recyclable goods and drinking Steel Reserve tall boys, but close enough.

I'm hearing a whole lot of big boy national championship talk out of a program that hasn't won more than 9 games in over a decade. You have to win more than 9 games to win a national titles Techies. I hate to break it to ya. Oh, and it also helps to at least have a pulse in your bowl game. Tech is an absolutely laughable 3-7 in bowl games in the past 10 seasons, and we all know most of those were played in December against mediocre mid majors. You won't be facing Stanford, Tulsa, or Syracuse (Tech's only bowl victories in over a decade) in the BCS title game Techies. Bottom line: If national championships are your goal, you've got a LONG way to go. I think the first step is not rewarding your players for 9-4 seasons with cracker jack box rings. That would be a good start.

Actually griff: I'm just laughing my arse off at all the posts here on this stupid blog. Both sides are funny as hell.

But...I have to say...you really don't help your cause. This is like wrestling a pig. You are going to get dirty. But the pig will enjoy it. So Arnold, I'm done with this. I'm taking a shower to wash off the UGAg filth that comes from the cesspool.

griff and maddog, did you guys check that link I posted? If not, please do, so that you will know without a doubt ALL the official champions since 1869. As I said before, Tech is listed FOUR times; UGAG only once. And there were several other shared championships besides Tech's in 1990. Once again, here is that link:

Griff, I know it was Dan Marion---that was another careless typo, similar to one maddog made a few posts up that I didn't bother to point out. Regardless, your competition in 1980 was no better nor worse than Tech's in 1990, except that Nebraska 1990 was a far better team than Notre Dame 1980. Maddog, I hate to diappoint you, but I am only using this one name here. If you see similarities between my postings and those of others, then it's because all of us know what we are talking about and how to get your goat...lol. Also, as I said earlier today, 4 of those 7 wins were because your moat valuable player was a Yellow Jacket--DAMN REGGIE BALL. And for everybody's information, check out this link to ALL RECOGNIZED NATIONAL CHAMPIONS since 1869:

Hmm, I do believe I see Georgia Tech listed four (count 'em, FOUR) times, and I only see UGAG listed ONCE...I REPEAT: ONCE!!

StoneColdDawg-

We at Tech don't measure our success by solely whether we beat you or not. I am not going to lie to you, it does feel nice (I think Roddy Jones just scored on a toss sweep again).

We measure our success the way all programs do...national championships. How Many do YOU have?

The best part about the whole thing is the 3rd quarter collapse and coughing up the 26 point lead--priceless--I've watched a lot of football and can't recall the last time I saw someone give up a 26 point lead.

Supersize, you demolished a good Nebraska team in the Citrus Bowl? I think they were ranked #19 coming in to the game, and don't forget, the Citrus Bowl was nothing to brag about back then. I guess when your team has its best season in about a decade and you finish at #23, then #19 looks like a good team. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! "Read your history, redneck." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Man I wish I had Preacher Richt as my head coach so I could compile amazing recruiting classes, get preseason accolades and then watch as my team squatted down on the sideline and took a big dump in their 3 biggest games of the season...on national television no less. uga is regarded as the biggest wannabe-a-powerhouse but cant measure up in the country, hands down.

The dog nation had penis envy for the Jackets when they owned us over the last 7 years. Now that we have a superior coach and are starting our own streak I can't imagine how unbearable it will get for all you silly rednecks.

Bottom line is you have been running your mouth on Tech blogs for the last 7 years and now your coach has been exposed and you are lashing out. I know where the fear comes from and it is quite enjoyable.

But hey..you got that awesome tight end out of Florida..you beat Florida out for him...he never even considered little lowly Tech...thats a victory isnt it. Maybe Richt can involve Jesus and prayer and convert a big recruit into a conference title? Or maybe it will be more the same "next year we will be awesome" rhetoric out of the clowns from athens.

Also, I love all these tools who discount ending a streak when they are the same ones who would not shut up when they got one of their 2 out of 17 victories against Florida over the last 2 decades. Pathetic.

GT-Nerds, we sure saw your fans getting all prissy and demanding that Martinez be fired. He couldn't control Tech's offense last year, and he won't be able to next year, even with all those stellar recruits you CLAIM to get every year. And with Cox as QB, who cares how many good WR's or TE's you get. The mutt offense will smell as bad as the mutt defense next year.

griffdawg1, re-read what I typed earlier. It was earned as much as any other championship has been earned. Tech had the best record in the country, and none of Tech's games were decided by officials who couldn't count 4 downs of play. If anybody was given anything, it was Colorado who had to have 5 downs to score the winning TD against Missouri, and only beat Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl because of a bogus clipping call against Notre Dame on a punt (or maybe kickoff) return for a TD. Tech beat everybody they played except a pathetic UNC team, and at least we salvaged a tie out of that one, and we beat the hell out of the mutts BETWEEN THE HEDGES. And we demolished a good Nebraska team in the Citrus Bowl. Who of any consequence did UGAG beat in 1980? Talk about gifts. And in 1981 when they actually had a great team, Dan Marion passed their eyes out in the Sugar Bowl. Read your history, redneck.

griffdawg1, re-read what I typed earlier. It was earned as much as any other championship has been earned. Tech had the best record in the country, and none of Tech’s games were decided by officials who couldn’t count 4 downs of play.
1eyedjack does make a good point, any fan knows that you can't beat your rival every year. But again here comes a coach who wins 9 games, and you guys treat him like a GOD. What happens when Richt and the Dawgs beat you a few years in a row again? Your going to hate johnson and want him gone. Richt had a sub-par season in 06 but did you see us getting all pissy and calling for him to get fired? Just remember that 38-3 pounding techies.

.... People listen."

Very nice. Look at all these posts after CPJ spoke. Yeah, I'd saying the UGA fans are slightly concerned. As they should be - PJ is a winner, especially in rivalry games.

From * Wikopedia* and *The NEW GEORGIA Encyclopedia.*

Georgia Southern took a chance on him as a quarterback, and the "Ham-bone" offense was born. Essentially a variation on the wishbone (a.k.a. PJ's "triple option), the game plan revolved around Ham's ability to pass on the run or to utilize his speed to get downfield on foot. The offense averaged 41.3 points and 500 yards per game. Most importantly Ham lead the Eagles to championships in 1985 and 1986, gaining nearly 1,000 yards and scoring ten touchdowns in the two title games. YES, PJ was the OC for Georgia Southern at this time, and it was he who convinced Erk to install this "wacky" offense after moving over from DL coach in '83-'84.
The 1989 team was the last to be coached by Russell, who at age sixty-three finished his career at Georgia Southern with an 83-22-1 overall record. His teams averaged an astounding 10.4 wins per year against I-AA competition.

Under head coach Paul Johnson, who took over in 1996, Georgia Southern returned to dominance with Adrian Peterson, the all-time leading rusher in I-AA history. Like Tracy Ham, he saved his best for the play-offs, averaging 171 yards rushing in postseason games. (PJ was 62-10 as HC, that's 12.4 wins per season; pretty astounding too).

Prior to becoming a head coach, Johnson spent eight seasons as offensive coordinator at the University of Hawai'i from 1987 to 1994. He helped lead the Rainbow Warriors to their first Western Athletic Conference title and their first bowl appearance and victory, in the 1992 Holiday Bowl. In 1995 and 1996, he served as Navy offensive coordinator and brought his option offense with him. In 1996, Navy recorded its first winning season in 14 years, going 9-3, including a victory at the Aloha Bowl. Johnson has performed well against rivals, including a perfect 5-0 mark against rival Army while head coach at Navy and a 1-0 start against rival UGA while head coach at Georgia Tech.

Gonna be 2-0 in November - woooooo!

The posts from THWG, THWG 45-42 and Supersize that order, Mutt all seem to be eerily similar with their insults, crude language, and lack of coherent thought. Perhaps all there are the same person. LOL!! You have THREE post names?

By the way, are your posts disappearing or are they just "awaiting moderation"?

Let do a little 2008 Recruiting Recap Here-

Georgia in August of 2008 wanted Rentavious Wooten as their main WR target for the 2008-2009 Recruiting year. One Georgia Coach described him as “A guy who can turn a 5 yard pass into a 75 yard touchdown reception.” When Wooten started to waiver on Georgia with Florida and LSU calling, Coach Mark Richt announced that recruiting receivers would be the number 1 priority- making Marlon Brown the number 1 prospect plus reeling in Wooten. Ironically, this happened around the time that Donavan Baldwin and WR Walter Hill exited the Georgia Football team- 2 scholarships open up. When Phil Fulmer got fired by Tennessee, Marlon Brown became a much more realistic possibility for Georgia. All of this happened around the same time.

As a precaution or backup plan in case Brown still went with the Vols or Wooten went through with his bailout to the Gators, they recruited WR’s like Kansas Junior College WR Cameron Kenney, Stephen Hill, and Michael Bowman.

Stephen Hill like Kenney was a second option, a back up plan. If you want to say that Georgia lost Michael Bowman to Bama, then fine, I think that is legit; but adding Brown and Charles is dramatic improvement over Hill or Kenney who were clearly back-up plans.

Charles and Brown played in both Army All-American game in San Antonio and the ESPN/Under Armour game in Orlando. Sure, Hill and Kenney may turn out to be Jerry Rice and Cris Carter(NOT likely) and maybe Charles and Brown could be bust(it could happen) but until that actually happens, GEORGIA WON THIS ONE, JUST LIKE THEY WON THE LAST 14 OUT OF 18 GA VS TECH GAMES.

One game does not mean Georgia Tech has taken over Georgia. Just ask LSU.
