IF SOUNDS TO ME LIKE PEOPLE ARE WORRIED ABOUT OLE S.C.!!!
HE HAS MADE US MORE COMPETITIVE.
ROME WAS NOT MADE IN A DAY.
BUT, WHEN IT WAS, IT LASTED FOR A LONG TIME.

If Spurrier is going to stay until SC wins an SEC championship he better live to be 200 years old. Nobody seems to want to go to Columbia. If anyone can do more with less talent, it's Spurrier. They just can't get over the hump.

Sounds like a lot of whistlin' past the graveyard from a lot of folks.
You're all looking up at the Gators and hoping. Our entire 2 deep on defense returns. You know the one that held the Vols to 6 pts., the dawgs to 10 pts and the Cocks to 6 points.
Hell, even the mighty 60 points a game Sooners only managed 14. Some of y'all might be hoping just to score period.
Enjoy the back seat fellas. The SEC beatdown starts with Goatboy and the Whiffins this Sept. in the Swamp and will end with a 3rd NC in 4 years. Y'all have a nice day now.

GAWJA fans are hilarious. Asking about SOS QB's that progress into the next level. Just remember Heisman hopefuls Quincy Carter (5 int's vs USC to start that campaign) and Crap Stafford, who will be a monster bust with no leadership., Shockley, Greene. Monster NFL talent there.

georgia should be ashamed, having all the athletes they have and getting the crap beat out of them by florida, alabama, ga tech etc . they are rated preseason no 1 and end up out of the top 10 with top 10 recruiting classes every year. a crock. hey, they have lost to tennessee 2 out of the last 3 years.

Connor you obviously know that there are lots of people that make some really dumb comments on message boards. South Carolina is rising and will be a major player in the SEC for many years to come, whether UGA and UT fans like it ot not. This past year has strengthened SOS' resolve and he has made the necessary changes to get fresh blood on his coaching staff. The facilities are really on the rise and talent continues to flow in.

Let the naysayers say what they will, but South Carolina will have the final word!

spurrier is 1-3 vs each of clemson, uga and u/f and 2-2 vs u/t while at usc

but 4 of the 6 losses to uga and clemtech were decided in the last minute of the game and could have gone either way

not a moral victory but the writing is on the wall: usc is more competitive under spurrier than they've ever been and gaining ground on the faltering "powers" of the sec

florida will take a step back w/out harvin this year and will really be simply above avg. when tebow ascends to the heavens after 09

There sure are a lot of worried people responding to this one thread.
SOS still has the power to scare people. To see the new facilities
he is responsible for and the recruiting hanging around the top ten
every year is kind of scary.People use to say he could not recruit,
I guess he has made them find something else to say about him.

He'll never quit until he wins at least one SEC championship. His competitive nature won't allow him to. The fans won't run him out of town, because, quite frankly, they never had more success than under him. They are still working out some major kinks, but they are not far away from finally breaking through.

The fans won’t run him out of town, because, quite frankly, they never had more success than under him. They are still working out some major kinks, but they are not far away from finally breaking through.

Wow, the georgia and ut fans running off at the mouth... If either of the teams recall ut lost last year to USC, Georgia just got by and lost the year before at home so if we are so slack of a team what does that say for yall. SOS can still out coach either of your coaches.

All of you Dawg fans should first learn to spell (it is spelled, D O G, btw), and then you might want to stop celebrating your national championship before the first game is played. Say what you will about USC, but we're well aware that our teams have been historically mediocre. Yet somehow, every year we play UGA, our mediocre team plays well enough to beat you.

Spurrier no longer scares anyone in Athens. His best days are history. 1-3 against Richt and counting. They might not score on UGA at all this year.

KARMA RULES !

You can't treat people the way he does and continue to get away with it !!!!!!

If you knew the kid like i did you would know that he is a big time competitor and loves to prove ppl wrong! He sees an oppurtunity where he might be able to change things around. And for GT fans, Connor is a spread QB not a triple-option QB. His highschool runs the triple but it is out of the shotgun. Connor is a smart kid, he knows what he is doing and knows that coaches will tell him anything to get him interested but it seems like to me, he is taking in his recruiting process and if he likes USC then hope all for the best!

The kid (understandably) ask Spurrier the wrong question. He should have asked what the chances were of the old coach getting fired in the next 2 years. Spurrier simply cannot leave QBs alone and he just cannot develop QBs. From what I know of Ga. Tech., they might be good for the kid as long as he doesn't want to pass the ball. Why would he want to compete with his brother at GT anyway?

So, Spurrier says, "’I'm definitely staying until we accomplish more things at South Carolina … [and] I’m nowhere near retiring.’” Perhaps that's an admission that SC is nowhere near accomplishing more things.

one never knows for sure what the ole ball coach will do,but i can understand why the young man might be interested, since georgia is loaded at qb and tech plays that weird offense.
there is no doubt, spurrier can coach and he does have the ideal job where he is not under any pressure!

Connor, remember the antics of Spurrier last year. He is not allowed to go to Tucker High School or Spartanburg (SC) High School. He has proved that his word is no good. Also do you want to play at a school that has all new assistant coaches? It does make you wonder why they all left Spurrier. Do you suppose that he has made remarks to them in private about how long he will be at Looserville? How many assistants have left UGA? Read between the lines...Spurrier WILL NOT BE AT USUCK AFTER THIS YEARS 6 AND 6 RECORD. Remember Spurrier's famous remark after his QB threw an interception; "It was not your fault. It was my fault. I thought that you could make that pass."

He's got players now and he will get Garcia (or someone) playing QB effectively. He will also land Marcus Lattimore. Book that.

Why play for Spurrier who has done nothing since he left FL? Has he developed a big time QB while at USC? Going to USC is kinda like entering the witness relocation program.
