Do you think you know your recruiting? Do you have some inside information that no one else knows? Then let’s have some fun.
Take your best guess on where five high-profile recruits will sign on Wednesday …
Greg Reid, DB, Lowndes. It’s Florida State, UGA, and Alabama. His Lowndes teammate and cousin, Gerald Demps, is headed to Florida State, and some family members would like him to play a little closer to home (Tallahassee is 85 miles away, while Athens is 240). Reid admits with Georgia being his final official visit, they are in great position to make the biggest influence before signing day. Will it be enough?
Jarvis Jones, LB, Carver-Columbus. The poker-faced Jones lists Florida, Southern Cal, UGA, LSU and Texas. There’s an “80-percent chance” he’ll go out of state. Mark Richt spent six hours with Jones on Wednesday. Was that enough to make Jones think about staying around home to play?
Darren Myles, DB, Carver-Atlanta. He is taking an official visit to Kentucky this weekend, but his dad says it’s down to Alabama, LSU, and Tennessee.
Marlon Brown, WR, Memphis. It seems like the entire state of Tennessee is counting on Brown to play for the Volunteers, where he is taking his final recruiting trip. Brown is close friends with Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor, but also told some Georgia commitments awhile back that he will be signing with the Bulldogs. Which is it? Tennessee, UGA, Ohio State, Florida or Ole Miss?
Jawanza Starling, DB, Tallahassee, Fla. Starling has had little to say about recruiting, which makes him maybe the toughest to read. He is the cousin of UGA defensive back Bryan Evans. His high school has sent a steady pipeline of players to FSU. So it’s FSU, Georgia, Notre Dame, Stanford, Florida, or LSU?

Big Mike: Fair question. I left Massie out because he hadn’t shown up in Athens, as of noon Saturday and is rumored to be Bama-bound. Charles? He’s not picking until mid-February … or even March. This contest ends Feb. 4. What are your picks? List ‘em. Thanks!

Michael, This is poor journalism, when you leave out guys like Bobby Massie, and Orson Charles. Be on point when you write about football in the south, after all this is SEC country, and every now and then show the ACC a little love. Most of these guys are the Dawgs easy picking, but don’t be surprised with JONES, A LIFE LONG GATOR FAN, the chance for people in your home state to always remember you, and family to see you will take top priorrity over everything else.
